CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1952 - 1960: You’re Done For
There was no sound, just a mouth movement.
When Jane Sampson wanted to take a closer look again, he had already closed his mouth and was sitting there looking at her with a strange smile.
The smile was quite eerie.
As they were leaving, Rock Bell suppressed his voice and asked Jane Sampson, "What did he call you for just now? What did he say to you?" Jane Sampson carefully recalled the paparazzo’s mouth movements, repeatedly visualizing the three words in her mind that matched his mouth shape.
He seemed to be saying.
You’re finished.
Jane Sampson couldn’t understand, what do these three words mean?
Or did she misinterpret his mouth shape?
"What’s wrong? What are you thinking about so seriously? If it hadn’t been for me pulling you back, you would have bumped into the pillar by now." Rock Bell really reacted quickly with his coordination, narrowly preventing Jane Sampson from crashing into the pillar. "What did that paparazzo say to you?"
"He spoke without sound. I read his lips, and it seemed he was saying to me, the three words ’You’re finished.’ I’m a bit flustered, why would he say those three words to me for no good reason?"
"You’re finished?" Rock Bell raised his voice, "You’re finished? Finished with what? What’s that supposed to mean? Could it be intentional to scare you?"
"Could it possibly be a threat to our Jane?" Coco Edwards stood motionlessly, "Taking advantage of the CCTV being off, I’ll beat him up a little, make him learn to behave!"
"You’re finished? Are you sure that’s what he said to you?" James Carter’s expression slightly shifted because if Jane Sampson hadn’t misheard it, those words sounded like a threat, a kind of dangerous provocation.
"Not sure." Jane Sampson shook her head, "He didn’t make any sound, I only read his lips for just a moment, so I don’t know if I misunderstood his meaning."
"Could there be a backup plan?" Rock Bell could only think of this, "But he’s in there with no access to information, doesn’t even know that we’ve already resolved the reputation crisis, and he can’t contact others, so what backup plan could he have?"
Rock Bell shook his head and then quickly waved his hand, "There shouldn’t be a backup plan, I think he was mostly trying to scare you."
"Maybe." Jane Sampson nodded and turned to Rock Bell, "Both the film set and the hotel have been blocked by reporters. Although it’s been clarified, those reporters won’t leave without interviewing me and Mr. Carter. I want to ask the director for leave and visit the Carter Family."
"Are you going to settle accounts with Jillian Carter?" Rock Bell asked.
Jane Sampson responded with an affirmative sound and nodded, "I’ve said it before, if this matter is truly her doing, then, between the Carter Family, it’s either her or me."
"Even if the Black Family rush over, it won’t be that quick, so I’ll accompany you." Rock Bell said, "After all, you call me Sister Tin, so in a way, I’m one of your family members."
Rock Bell patted Jane Sampson’s shoulder and then said, "Let’s head back to the hotel to tidy up first, then we’ll take the express train for speed."
A group of people hurried back to the hotel, James Carter remained silent the entire journey, not uttering a single word.
Once back in the room, James Carter’s assistant looked at him with some concern.
"Brother Carter, that paparazzo already said the matter was at Jillian’s instigation. Now, what should we do?" The assistant wanted to ask what James Carter planned to do now.
"As Jane said, we need a resolution." James Carter leaned on his cane standing there, looking weary, "I really didn’t anticipate she could be so cruel and so vicious."
