CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1907 - 1915: I Should Hate You
She was not shocked by Jillian Carter saying Jane Sampson was the true daughter of the Carter Family. She was shocked that the reason James Carter broke up with her in the past was not that he couldn’t handle his sister Jillian’s views and ultimately gave up on their longstanding relationship.
"Jillian Carter, you’re right, I should hate you," Mandy Forest growled, "Why did you lie to me back then? If it weren’t for you telling me those things, I wouldn’t have cared about my future. I would have definitely bought a flight ticket, gone to the Carter Family, and asked him why he wanted to break up with me."
"To me, life and death parting is not the most painful. The most painful is when someone is alive but feels despair and sorrow first. I loved him so much. If I had known the truth back then, even if I had to let him go, I would have done so without regret, because I was going to honor our vow and spend my life with him, even if his life was short."
"But so many years have passed and you’re only telling me this now, only now revealing these secrets! Jillian Carter, since that’s the case, you should have kept these secrets hidden forever and not told me!"
Mandy Forest collapsed and cried like rain.
"Sister Mandy Forest, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but you’re not married yet, are you? It’s not too late for everything, is it?" Jillian Carter anxiously questioned. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"It’s already too late, there’s no regrets after loosing the arrow, it’s too late now." Mandy shook her head, large teardrops falling on her hand and the ground.
"Sister Mandy Forest, what does ’there’s no regrets after loosing the arrow’ mean?" Jillian looked confused by Mandy’s collapsed expression.
"Sister Mandy Forest, I don’t understand, you’re still not married, why is it too late? Sister Mandy Forest, I beg you, don’t give up on my brother, he really needs you," Jillian Carter pleaded bitterly.
"Jillian Carter, I really hate you." Mandy gritted her teeth lightly, "I’ll say it again, don’t come looking for me in the future, let’s pretend we don’t know each other if we meet."
As Mandy finished speaking, a black car stopped in front of them, and a man in a black suit hurriedly got out from it.
"Mandy, what happened?" The man helped Mandy up, his eyes unfriendly as he looked at Jillian Carter, with a slightly cold voice, "Miss Jillian Carter, Mandy has nothing to do with anyone in your family anymore. Who do you think you are to stand here and bully her?"
The man’s tone was somewhat aggressive, leaving Jillian stunned there. Hearing the man’s intimate address to Mandy, she asked, "Are you the one marrying my sister Mandy?"
The man glanced at Mandy, then nodded, "Yes."
"Sister Mandy, how is he better than my brother? Even if my brother was not well-behaved, he’s still a thousand times, ten thousand times better than him," Jillian scoffed, and said to the man, "You look familiar."
"Miss Jillian Carter, at such a young age, and your brain is already malfunctioning. You see me and just feel a bit familiar? Instead of remembering me clearly?" the man sneered, "When Miss Jillian Carter planned to use me against Mandy back then, where was today’s lacking brain?"
The man’s words showed no politeness whatsoever.
"Mandy, I’m guessing you have nothing more to say to her, let’s go." The man led Mandy into the car, without looking again at Jillian Carter who stood there now.
