CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 182 - 190: Is Sister-in-law the Host?
"Our sister-in-law came to the guard team to see the Chief!"
"Let’s go, head to the doorway to join in the fun! We can finally have a glimpse of our sister-in-law’s beauty."
"The Chief has been married for so long and he’s kept his wife so well hidden, but this time we finally got the chance to sneak a peek."
A bunch of gentlemen, curious as ever, with the bolder ones rushing to the doorway to openly spectate after hearing the news, while the more timid ones pretended to pass by the gate entrance, always trying somehow to take a look.
James Black didn’t think there was anything wrong with him running to see Jane Sampson; the weather was so hot, and with Jane’s poor health, if she were left out in the sun for too long and got heat stroke, there would be trouble.
The thought of Jane Sampson waiting at the doorway of the guard team, possibly with the beef balls she had just made, filled James Black with energy as he ran.
Even in his heart, James Black thought that even if he went out and saw Jane Sampson with tea eggs boiled in the tea leaves he treasured in his fridge, he wouldn’t get angry with her.
After all, he was a man, and what he said, he had to do.
Peter Gingery only felt a gust of wind suddenly whoosh by his side, and then he saw the figure of James Black suddenly appear before him, growing further and further away, leaving him far behind.
"Where is she?" By the time James Black reached the main gate, even he was a bit out of breath.
At the doorway of the guard team, James Black saw many people pretending to pass by, along with a group of little bastards hiding in a corner thinking they were unseen, but he saw no sign of Jane Sampson.
"Chief, your sister-in-law is over there. It’s too hot today; we were afraid she’d get heatstroke," a team member standing guard pointed under the tree and explained, "The Chief hadn’t given the word, and we didn’t dare let your sister-in-law in, but we prepared some cold soda water for her, though she didn’t take it."
James Black looked towards the tree and saw an old chair underneath it, not knowing where these people had gotten it from, and on that chair sat a woman in a red dress.
But.
James Black didn’t need to get any closer to recognize that the woman wasn’t Jane Sampson.
Jane Sampson was thinner than her, taller than her, and most importantly, much fairer than her.
"Chief, why aren’t you going over there?" the team member who was standing guard asked, seeing James Black standing still, not moving, his face even turning dark.
"My sister-in-law... Where is my sister-in-law?" Peter Gingery caught up panting, hands on his knees, his eyes searching all around.
He didn’t see Jane Sampson, but he did see a person he found extremely disagreeable.
"Is that Julie Sampson? How did she get to the entrance of the guard team?" Peter Gingery jumped up, "The surname Sampson, don’t tell me they meant Julie Sampson?"
Not seeing Jane Sampson, the only person visible to the eyes was Julie Sampson. Thus, Peter Gingery was sure that it wasn’t his Princess Egg-Yolk who had come, but the annoying Julie Sampson.
Damn it. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Peter Gingery felt like he wasted all his extreme power sprinting here for nothing.
"Chief, that must be our sister-in-law, right? She looks a bit familiar," William King said while still panting, having chased all the way here to see the legendary sister-in-law sooner.
When William King saw the woman under the tree, he paused and exclaimed, "I remember now! Isn’t the sister-in-law a TV station host? I occasionally see her on TV!"
"She’s not," James Black said coldly, his voice colder than his expression, "She’s not a member of the guardian team’s family members; she does not have the qualifications to enter the guard team."
