CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1611 - 1619: I’m not at home
When Jane Sampson was feeling idle before, she had enrolled in a professional photography class, so she had plenty to chat about with the photographer. Just as the photographer was talking about a photography exhibition, Jane Sampson’s mobile phone suddenly rang.
The mobile phone was in Coco Edwards’s purse, and Coco Edwards took it out and handed it to Jane Sampson, casually saying, "It’s an unknown number."
Jane Sampson thought about it for a moment and answered.
If Jane Sampson had known who was calling, she would have definitely refused to answer without hesitation.
"Jane, it’s daddy. Have you really blocked all our phone numbers?" Father Sampton asked with some surprise on the phone, but there was not even a hint of questioning in his tone.
"President Sampton, have you forgotten your promises? I have no relationship with you anymore, that’s what you said last time yourself. Plus, the Sampton Clan shares have all been returned to you by me. Whatever needed to be returned, I’ve transferred them all back into your hands." Jane Sampson’s tone held not a bit of kindness.
The phrase "I’m daddy" was laughable to Jane Sampson when she heard it.
Back then, the words were so definitive, saying the ties were broken, and yet now, he’s still speaking to her in the tone of a father.
"The relationship I have with the Sampton Family now only remains with being Granny Sampton’s granddaughter and Bright Sampson’s sister, but with you, Mrs. Sampton, and Julie, there is no relationship at all. Please don’t speak to me using past identities anymore." Jane Sampson said coldly.
Father Sampton was silent for a while on the phone, his expression somewhat unpleasant, but he dared not to show his anger and didn’t dare let Jane Sampson know how upset he was now.
But, those words of breaking ties were spoken by him.
"I have something I want to discuss with you; I’m at your home doorway now. Are you at home? Can you help me open the door?" Father Sampton didn’t dare mention the word daddy again.
"I’m not at home," Jane Sampson responded.
"Have you gone to the film crew? Should I go to the film crew to find you?" Father Sampton pressed on.
"I’m not at the film crew either. I have nothing to say to you; I won’t meet you. Don’t come to find me, and also, don’t call me in the future." After saying this, Jane Sampson directly hung up the phone with a cold face.
Without needing to think, Jane Sampson knew why Father Sampton was making a call to her.
That day, when Father Sampton went to the countryside to find grandma, it wasn’t to see grandma, which made Grandma Sampson very angry when Bright Sampson asked about Father Sampton’s business.
Remembering Julie Sampson’s unfulfilled dream of marrying into the Chip Family, Jane Sampson knew that Father Sampton surely approached Grandma Sampson because of Julie Sampson’s matters.
However, seeing that path through Grandma Sampson wasn’t working, Father Sampton thickened his skin to come to find her.
Coco Edwards gently squeezed Jane Sampson’s palm, silently looking at Jane Sampson with a bit of worry on her face.
"I’m fine." Jane Sampson looked at Coco Edwards, smiled, and then continued to chat with the photographer.
The journey took a whole three hours, but Jane Sampson, as if nothing was wrong, chatted with the photographer all the way. Thanks to the three hours of conversation, Jane Sampson and the photographer became familiar with each other, and when it came time to film, the awkwardness dissipated. Their communication was good, making the shoot very smooth.
But just as Coco Edwards worried at first, they encountered a traffic jam on the return journey. By the time Jane Sampson reached downstairs of the building at home, it was almost 11 o’clock at night. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"The time is a bit late now, I’ll have the driver wait a while downstairs; I’ll walk you to your home doorway." Coco Edwards grabbed a coat and draped it over Jane Sampson’s shoulder, holding the slightly sleepy Jane Sampson, who was dozing in the car, into the elevator.
