"A-Ash L-let’s talk about this I-" Amy can feel her hands shaking like a child caught doing something that’s against the rules. This scene was the last thing that she wanted Ash to see. She doesn’t want to hurt him more than he is feeling after she rejected his love for her.
She is sorry and not at the same time, she wants Henry in her life but she also wanted to remain friends with Ash. But their situation is really difficult for her to handle, she just doesn’t know what to do anymore.
Amy was about to go to Ash to talk to him, to make him calm down but Henry moved in front of her to stop her from going near Ash.
"There’s nothing to talk about, ’love’, you don’t owe him any explanation," Henry emphasized the word love to show Ash how his relationship with Amy is. Henry just cannot wait for Ash to make the first move so he can finally blow a punch to this audacious man’s face.
"Can’t you see he is defiling you, Amy? Once you give him what he wants he will leave you just like what he did to every woman he had," Ash screamed, he is at the limit of his patience with Henry. It angered him more to see that Henry was so calm while he is yelling at him.
"And what it is that I want from Amy, that you are not after as well huh?!" Henry is starting to raise his voice, he too is starting to lose patience with how Ash is interfering with his relationship with Amy.
"Everyone knows it, Henry! The great Henry Welsh only wants a woman’s body and nothing else!"
"Oh, that... If you’re talking about having s3x. You’re too late, we have been defiling each other’s bodies for some time now. So if you have nothing more to say, leave and let us continue with our debauchery," Henry turned around not wanting to talk to Ash anymore. He got bored since he was waiting for him to attack him but looks like he was just all talk and no action.
Before he can look at Amy, Amy suddenly pushed him hard to the side making him drop to the floor while she moved to his former spot. Before he can process what was going on, he heard the voices of Anton and Rei, and when he looks for Amy, she was holding onto Ash’s inner wrist with one hand and her other hand on his chest. From the looks of Amy, it looks like she just stopped Ash from attacking him.
"Woah... What is happening here man, we heard you shouting," Rei was scratching his head when he saw what the three looks like when they arrived in the kitchen. Henry was on the floor and Anton went to help Henry stand up from the ground.
"Nothing Rei, you can go back to your room," Amy answered not removing her eyes from Ash.
"We definitely heard angry voices you know," Anton was the one to speak this time.
"My angel is just showing her friend how her training is going so far. Remind me to give Ava a bonus. She did a good job training Amy, she can now defend not only herself but other people as well and on top of that, she can also somehow keep up with my vigor in bed. Few more training and we’ll be making love all night till sunrise," Henry scoff in a taunting manner obviously directed at Ash.
"Stop it already!" Amy grabbed Henry’s wrist and pulled him away from the kitchen.
"What happened man?" Rei asked Ash after Amy had dragged Henry away from everyone.
"I saw him touching Amy inappropriately," Ash bluntly answered.
"Haha! And just because of that, you went ballistic?" Anton can’t help but laugh at how petty Ash’s reason is. They thought the two were throwing punches at each other already at how loud his voice was when they heard him scream.
"Amy is not some woman who he can lay his hands on," Ash gritted his teeth when he remembered what the two were doing and how Henry spoke earlier, confidently announcing to everyone that he had bedded Amy already.
"You can’t do anything about it, Asher, let it go. It’s Amy’s choice, she’s not a child anymore. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Amy gets pregnant soon. Those two just don’t care about the time and place anymore," Rei said casually without noticing how dark Ash’s expression had become.
"Come on, join us, don’t sulk here. Let’s go to Mary’s place maybe his dad needs help," Anton offered, for he and Rei already planned to keep Ash away from Henry and Amy. They know that Henry’s hands are itching to throw a punch at Ash’s handsome face, and it would give him great satisfaction on seeing his face all bruised.
He wanted to do it on the first day they met at the party and now that their investigation is almost concluding that Ash had a part in it. They know that Henry would definitely provoke Ash so he can have a reason to trash him without making Amy angry since it will look like self-defense.
"Okay, I will go, I need to get the key for my bathroom as well from Uncle Troy," Ash told himself he needed to cool down. Amy stopped his punch earlier, saving Henry from his fist. He can’t believe she did that, however, knowing how Amy hates conflicts, he decided to brush it off.
He saw the look in Amy’s eyes, she was in pain and there was sadness in her hazel eyes. He just doesn’t know if it was because of him or Henry. If it was because of him, then he doesn’t want to add up to that.
The three went out of Amy’s house and went to Mary’s which is not that far. The three of them did not talk to each other on the way and just kept walking towards their destination. Anton and Rei can feel the heaviness around Ash and they couldn’t help but just throw meaningful glances at each other.
They pity Ash because of his situation, they can see how much he loves Amy and how hurt he is right now. But at the same time if ever, they prove that he has some participation in what happened to Amy’s barren land, they will not hesitate to take him down together with the people involved.
Mary was on the outdoor patio, setting the table by herself when the trio arrived. She instantly noticed how gloomy Ash’s mood is. She was actually waiting for him to keep him occupied after Amy told her what happened between him and Henry before.
If only Amy didn’t fall for Henry, she would’ve really given her all in playing cupid between her two best friends. She really wanted them to be together romantically and not just friends. But she can see how happy is Amy now and she will support her no matter what.
She quickly drop what she was doing to greet them, especially Ash. She can only guess that something must have happened in Amy’s house for these three to go to her place sooner than expected.
"Is everything ok? You look awful Ashy boy, come here and give me a hug," Mary spread her arms wide open only for Ash to walk past her. "Not in the mood for a hug I see," Mary added.
"Not now Mary," Ash slumped on the chair, placed his elbows on the table, and run his fingers through his tresses.
Seeing Ash’s defeated facade, Anton decided to give Mary and Ash some space to talk knowing that they are best of friends. He is sure that Mary wants to comfort her friend, "We should help your parents Mary, can we?" Mary nodded and the two went straight to the kitchen where the couple was.
"So? Are you going to tell me or not?" Mary crossed her arms as she waits for him to spill out the reason for his sour temper.
"That maniac is abusing Amy," Ash leaned back on the seat, he clenched his fist tight on the table and it almost turned white due to too much fury.
"What?! What do you mean? What did he do to her? Where is she?" Mary was worried, surprised, confused, and anxious at the same time. She didn’t expect Henry to abuse Amy when he was so in love with her. She sat beside Ash as she wait impatiently for his answer.
"She’s with that mother f*cker! He is not good for her Mary, you’ve got to help me get her back," Ash held onto Mary’s hands almost begging and teary-eyed. He had never felt so hopeless ever in his entire life. He can see Amy slipping away from his hands and it is happening really fast.
He had done so much for her to keep her by his side but still, after all his effort, he was not able to make her fall in love with him. He is desperate, he has used all the cards up his sleeves and he doesn’t know what to do anymore.
Amy is falling deeper into Henry’s trap and he must do something to get her out of there. He will not allow Amy to be fully consumed by Henry.
"Wait what? Why did you leave her there if she’s getting abused are you out of your mind?" Mary frowned as she gets more confused about her friend’s situation, she definitely not understanding what Ash meant.
"I saw him, Mary! He... he... I will kill that bastard!"
"Hey! Before you kill anyone tell me first what happened! Just say it, urgh! I am the one you’re killing right now Ash!" Truly, Mary is going to die out of frustration and suspense with how Ash is only giving bits and pieces of the story instead of properly telling her what happened.
"He was touching her, in places, he shouldn’t have, they were kissing, she was on the counter and-" Ash was too busy trying to compose himself as he try his best to narrate what he saw without rushing back to Henry to get his hands dirty with his blood, that he did not saw how Mary’s facial expression changed until she cuts him off.
