Amy pulled away from their embrace and stared at Ash in shock. "H-How d-did y-you k-know?" Amy was stuttering, her whole body was trembling, and her heart was pounding.

"His looks can be deceiving, Amy. But his heart does not lie. The way he looks at you under those cheap hideous shades is still the same way as before and maybe even more. You should buy him something expensive and stylish," Ash jested making Amy chuckle while in tears at the same time.

"He won’t need it anymore anyway. I will fix him," Amy said while wiping her tears away.

"So you knew, huh?" Ash asked while squinting.

"I suspected at first. But I thought I was just hallucinating. But I confirmed it last night," Amy absentmindedly said.

"Yeah, last night he was wearing similar to what he used to wear. And come on, the voice and build are still the same," Ash commented.

"Yup, the body and everything are still the same..." Amy stood up to throw the tissue paper after wiping all of her tears.

Ash furrowed his eyebrows and smirked, "Wait, did you just say the body is still the same? You mean to say you saw what’s in there? Did you... just... last night? Oh–!"

Both Ash and Amy stared at each other with wide eyes and covered their mouths after realizing what were they just talking about. Amy unconsciously just blurted out to Ash what she saw last night.

They both tittered before the sound of the opening door captured their attention.

Ash smiled at the person who invited herself in. She stood by the door and looked around as if looking for something or someone.

"Vanessa! Wow, news travels fast. You are my first visitor. How did you know I was here?" Ash excitedly asks.

When Lucas Brighton died, Vanessa reached out to Ash and helped him get back full control of Brighton Industries from Dimitri, who owns almost half of it and is in control of the high-ranking executives and members of the board.

Vanessa threatened her husband that she would testify against him being the mastermind of the explosion and attempt to kill Henry and Amy. Dimitri yielded in exchange for Vanessa agreeing to have a baby with him which was not possible without the help of Francis.

Because of this, Ash and Amy saw Vanessa from a different perspective. They both believed that Vanessa was innocent all those years.

Amy and Ash frowned when Vanessa locked the door behind her. They noticed that her hands were shaking, so Amy moved closer to her, "Vanessa, you’re trembling. Are you– woah!" Amy uttered before putting both her hands up in the air.

"Vanessa! What is the meaning of this!" Ash shouted at Vanessa who was pointing a gun at Amy.

"Please return him to me and I promise to not bother your family again. You won’t ever see us. I’ll make sure he will not leave the room ever." Vanessa’s tears started falling while pleading with Amy.

"What are you talking about? Return who? Vanessa, please put that down. Our children are here." Amy remarked.

"Mommy?" Lia called with a trembling voice as she stared at Vanessa holding a gun.

"Go to your mommy, and take your brother with you, now!" Vanessa shouted, startling Lia.

"Get Avery sweetheart and come to mommy," Amy said.

"Don’t you fucking move from where you are Amy!" Vanessa yelled.

"I-I won’t, I am just trying to get my kids, Vanessa. You are scaring them. Please put that down. Let’s talk about what you were saying. Who are you looking for?" Amy asked.

"Mommy!" Lia and Avery then run to Amy.

She quickly pushed her kids behind her back who started crying at the same time.

"Don’t you play dumb with me! Give me back my Henry!" Vanessa exclaimed.

Ash and Amy looked at each other sending non-verbal signals to one another.

"What are you talking about, Vanessa? Why would my wife hide him? He is in the cemetery for Christ’s sake!" Ash retorted.

"Bullshit! You know that’s a lie! I have proof that he is with you. The private investigator showed me pictures of him driving his car!"

"Vanessa please calm down. My husband is really sick right now. Let’s talk about this. Let me just send the kids home–"

"I said don’t move!" Vanessa roared.

Lia and Avery wailed louder and really got scared at how loud Vanessa’s voice was.

"Vanessa, it could be Anton or Rei. No one is driving Henry’s old car except for Amy." Ash said.

"Lies!" Vanessa shouted once more while pointing the gun alternately at Ash and Amy. "He was driving it yesterday and even picked you up from the airport!"

Ash was determined to feign ignorance, thinking that it would calm Vanessa if they pretended that they didn’t know anything.

"It was our new driver, Tom," Ash said while Amy was trying to calm the two children.

"So, that’s the name that he was using all these years, huh?"

Ash continued with his act, "Vanessa, Henry is dead. We buried him remember? Tom could have the same height as Henry, but he is not him. Henry is dead, Vanessa. Just like my Ava. They are both dead." Ash tried to show Vanessa that they didn’t know anything hoping that she would stop and just walk away.

"Henry is alive! I took care of him for the past five years! Henry is Tom! I intentionally did not fix his face so you wouldn’t recognize him and he would be forever mine!"

Amy fumed in anger. She cannot believe that it was Vanessa who took Henry away from them and made them believe that he is dead, "YOU EVIL BITCH!"

Vanessa pointed the gun at Lia as she screamed, "DAMN YOU AMY! I WILL KILL YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER WITH HENRY!"

Amy quickly stepped back, turned around, and covered her kids with her body to protect them.

*BANG, BANG*

"NOOO!!!"

Tom watched the kids’ Karate class excitedly. It was just an hour but he had fun. He saw how good Jayson and Jena were, not to mention how cute Tommy was in his tiny white uniform.

They were about to get into the car when his phone rang.

[Tom, head to the hospital instead of going home. Ash was admitted earlier. We can no longer wait for you since the kids might be hungry already. It’s almost lunch, so let’s all eat there.]

Tom drove the kids to the hospital as instructed. But when they got there everyone was in a panic and was trying to leave the hospital. He saw Sandra and Mary in the open parking lot waiting for them.

"Two gunshots came from Ash’s room. Vanessa was in there with Amy and the kids." Mary told him as soon as he opened the door.

Tom felt like his heart jumped out of his chest with what he just heard, "Stay with the kids," he ordered Mary and Sandra who nodded before he stormed out of the car and headed towards Ash’s room.
