CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 148: Future Family
Amy’s body hurts and her legs were wobbly but she doesn’t mind. Henry didn’t stop after she woke him up with a daring good morning workout. They were already in the tub, enjoying the warm water when they heard her stomach grumble.
The cabin has no wifi or telephone plus they did not bring anything there but themselves so after they clean themselves up they decided to go to the main restaurant of the place where they guessed everyone is in right now to have their breakfast.
"Just how many sets of clothes did you bring here?" Amy asked after seeing the number of clothes in the cabinet as she browsed for something to wear.
"Enough for a week, in case you decide to stay," Henry replied as he put on his clothes.
"I would love to stay for a week but you know we can’t do that. Our wedding was unplanned and I need to deal with the new recruits and the new office," Amy explained.
"I know, love, and I am sorry too for rushing things. I also need to finish up some documents needed for the transfer of the shares to me." Henry walked over in front of the mirror where Amy is and circled his arms around her waist from behind.
"And once I have settled everything on my end, let’s work on getting your land back, shall we?" Henry added as he rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Gosh, I just realized that we have to accomplish so many things in a short period of time. Do you still need me to sign some documents for the loan payment?"
"Perhaps next week, our marriage contract should have been filed by now and after that, our family lawyer would be the one to process everything. All you have to do is focus on Bellory and I will handle the rest."
When they arrived at the dining area almost everyone was there enjoying their last day in the venue.
"Where’s Charles and Demi?" Henry asked Rei after looking around and not finding the two.
"They went ahead with Tony. I told them I’ll drive you two. They said they are doing some changes in the mansion since you two are married now," Rei said.
Henry pulled out a chair for Amy to sit on before taking his own seat.
"It’s ok, Amy and I will go home first before we to go work. I need to get some documents from my study."
"If you don’t need me to drive you, can I come after lunch? Our legal team is already working on your marriage contract it should be done before lunch and they will process next the transfer of shares," Rei said.
"Do you have somewhere to go Rei?" Henry look first at Rei and then at Sandra when he noticed that Sandra seems to be listening to their conversation and waiting for something.
Rei rubbed the back of his neck, feeling uncomfortable in answering Henry’s question. He doesn’t usually disclose his personal life unless it’s very important or a matter of life and death. And that does not include his love life, it is private and he doesn’t like sharing it with others, but then Sandra is there with them.
One thing that he doesn’t want is for Sandra to think that he is hiding their relationship from everyone. If there’s one sure thing about his life right now is that he wants Sandra to be the last woman in his life.
Their midnight date last night made him realize that she is the one. He was on cloud nine as they spent the night together. He knows that it is too early to say that but the spark that he was looking for all these years from all the women that he met, he found it in Sandra.
Last night the weather was perfect for a midnight drive in the countryside. Sandra took the wheels and as for Rei, it was the right decision that she did. He was able to enjoy staring at her, admiring her beauty while she drives.
"Where are you taking me?" Rei asked Sandra while she drives his car in the middle of nowhere. They were on a highway just near the venue of the wedding and Rei can’t see anything interesting, it was just tall trees surrounding them.
"Be patient Rei, you know what they say? Good things come to those who wait, right?" Sandra replied as she focus on the road.
"You are not taking me somewhere dark with dense trees to kill me right?" Rei jested.
Sandra cackled at his terrible joke, "Just wait, you’ll see."
Rei did not ask any more questions and Sandra was right, the wait was worth it. Sandra drove onto a narrow rough road there were no lights at all, but the moon is bright enough for Rei to see the surrounding area.
"Wow, just wow. How do you know this place? Don’t tell me someone had brought you here before?" Rei said with a glint of jealousy in his voice which Sandra caught.
Sandra just gave him a smirk as she looked at him and kept silent. She parked the car near the wooden bridge that leads to the lake. The lake reflects the moonlight making it brighter and perfect for swimming.
"So what do you think?" Sandra asks after getting down from the car.
"It’s nice," Rei tersely replied as he lean back to his car and not showing any interest at all.
Sandra chuckled feeling Rei’s jealousy for the non-existent man who could have brought Sandra here. "Just nice? My best friend Amanda owns this. She now lives overseas with her husband and kids. She is selling this to me, I am still saving up for it since she’s not in a hurry to dispose of it anyways."
Rei’s eyes widened at his mistake and were embarrassed of himself at the same time. He was jealous for nothing.
"It is beautiful Sandra! I love it, you should really buy it. Do not let the chance go away. If you want I can lend you some money so you can buy it already."
"Haha! That fast huh?"
Rei smiled awkwardly for Sandra saw right through him, she was just so good at reading him.
"What do you plan to do with this?" Rei asked trying to change the topic.
"I will move out from Amy’s farm and move in here with my tiny house at first. Then I will build a home for my future family here, do you want to join me?"
Rei: "...!!!"
