Chapter 95: Chapter 95: We Shouldn’t Disturb

"Pervert!" Melody Donovan shrieked. She grabbed a nearby pillow to cover her head and kicked the man off the bed.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Dominic Thorne shouted, rubbing his head and frowning in confusion.

Melody Donovan lowered the pillow and pointed a finger at him. "You’re asking me...?" Her face instantly turned beet-red, and she quickly raised the pillow again to block her view. "You’re asking me what’s wrong? Why am I in your house? And why aren’t you... wearing any clothes...?"

"Oh?" Dominic Thorne got up, a playful glint in his eye. He sat on the bed and slowly crept closer to her. "You fell asleep yesterday. I couldn’t wake you up no matter how loud I called. You were sleeping like a log. And which eye of yours saw me not wearing clothes? I am obviously wearing something, okay? Or did your brain automatically filter out my underwear? Besides, do I need to ask for your approval on what I wear in my own home?"

Melody Donovan was too furious to speak. She snatched the pillow away and glared at him. "Well, Your Highness, could you please put some clothes on first?!"

"You dress me," Dominic Thorne said, his lips curling into a smirk as he leaned in close to her cheek.

Melody Donovan threw the pillow at Dominic Thorne with all her might and stormed off the bed. "I’m done waiting on you! Hmph!" She turned and stalked toward the door.

"Wait a minute. Are you sure you want to go out like that?" He gestured at her clothes.

"Right... my clothes. Don’t tell me you changed me!" Melody asked tentatively.

"That’s right, I did. What of it?"

"You...!" Melody Donovan turned her head and cursed him under her breath. ’Did he really have to take off my underwear, too...?’

「The Hospital」

Summer Lancaster woke up, her throat parched. She tried to reach for the glass of water on the nightstand, only to find she was being held in place. She looked down at the arm draped over her, then quickly turned around. Kenneth Yates was inches away from her, his eyes slowly fluttering open.

"You’re awake..."

"Kenneth Yates, you’re finally awake!" Summer Lancaster cried, burrowing into his arms and beginning to sob.

"Don’t cry. I’m all right now," Kenneth Yates said, gently holding her.

Summer Lancaster met his gaze. "What do you mean you’re all right? You scared me to death, you know that?"

"I knew you’d be scared, so I held on until Dominic arrived. Everything’s okay now." Kenneth looked into Summer’s eyes, but she suddenly kissed him. Her icy hands gradually grew warm. Tightening his hold on her, Kenneth reversed their positions, taking the lead and pressing her down onto the bed. Far from stopping him, Summer wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him forcefully with unpracticed passion.

Just then, the door banged open! Startled, Summer dove into his embrace, flustered and embarrassed.

The moment he walked in, Dominic Thorne took in the "lovely" scene before him. He smirked. ’Looks like the boss is really all right after all.’

"Well, isn’t my timing impeccable!" he said, making a show of stepping inside.

"Get out," Kenneth Yates bit out, his icy stare radiating danger.

Dominic Thorne flinched. He seemed to have actually angered him, and he felt a small flicker of fear. "I’m going, I’m going! I brought you two breakfast. Remember to eat it—the normal way!"

Beneath Kenneth, Summer Lancaster wished the ground would open up and swallow her whole. Thankfully, his tall, broad frame completely shielded her from view; otherwise, she had no idea how she could ever face Dominic Thorne again.

Melody Donovan was surprised to see Dominic Thorne go in only to back right out. "Why aren’t you going inside?"

"We have a handsome man and a beautiful woman, both of them quite willing. It wouldn’t do for us to interrupt."

Melody Donovan was completely lost. Before she could ask what he meant, he was already pulling her away.
