CEO, Your Wife Has Left-Chapter 67: Elevator Passion
Kenneth Yates rushed to Summer Lancasterโs side. "Summer, are you okay?" ๐ป๐๐๐ฆ๐ธ๐๐ท๐โด๐ฃ๐ฆ๐.๐ธโด๐ฎ
"How could I be okay! Why were you so late?" Summer Lancaster wailed, burying her face in his chest.
"Iโm sorry, Iโm sorry..." Kenneth Yates held her, apologizing over and over. He had promised to always protect her, but look at what happened. โIs being with me really the most dangerous place for her?โ
"Come on, letโs go home." Kenneth Yates picked Summer Lancaster up and placed her in the passenger seat of his car.
Kenneth Yates drove with one hand, his other tightly holding Summer Lancasterโs. Her hand was ice-cold, completely devoid of warmth. "Itโs okay now, itโs okay," Kenneth Yates murmured, trying to comfort her. His eyes were filled with terrorโthe fear that something might happen to her, that she might leave him.
Summer Lancaster looked over at him. His expression was incredibly tense, and the hand he was driving with wouldnโt stop shaking. "When... when did you get back?"
Kenneth Yates looked at her, a smile finally breaking through his tension. "Just now."
Summer Lancaster suddenly felt a pang of guilt and lowered her head. โHe just got back. He must be exhausted, and I made him worry so much!โ
"Do you know who sent those people?" Kenneth Yates asked Summer Lancaster carefully. โJudging by how unprofessional they were, they couldnโt have been Noel Lynchโs men. So who was it? If it really had been Noel, it probably wouldnโt have mattered how early I got here.โ At the thought of Noel Lynch, Kenneth Yates couldnโt help but tighten his grip on Summer Lancasterโs hand.
"Kenneth, your hand! It hurts!" Summer Lancaster cried out, pulling her own hand away.
"Sorry!" Kenneth Yates put the hand that had been holding hers back on the steering wheel.
"You donโt have to apologize. Itโs not your fault. Oh, wait... whereโs that report?" Summer Lancaster said, rummaging through her pockets.
"What report?" Kenneth Yates asked.
"I went to the hospital for a check-up today and saw Audrey Adler and Yvonne. Yvonne had an abortion, and she did it behind her fatherโs back."
Kenneth Yates said nothing, but a cold, ruthless expression crossed his face.

Summer Lancaster wasnโt hurt, but Kenneth Yates insisted on carrying her upstairs. Summer couldnโt win the argument, so she gave in. Fortunately, it was very late, and there was hardly anyone around the complex.
Her face flushed, Summer Lancaster snuggled into Kenneth Yatesโs arms. She could feel his heart pounding, hear his ragged breaths. She quietly tilted her head up to look at his face. It was the same devastatingly handsome face as always, but now, it gave her an immense sense of security.
"Did I get even more handsome? Is that why you canโt take your eyes off me?" His voice came from above her, and Summer Lancaster, flustered, quickly lowered her head. โHow did he know I was staring at him?โ
"No way! Stop being so narcissistic!" Summer Lancaster pouted in protest, though her actual thought was, โHe really is *so* handsome!!โ Hearing her words, Kenneth Yates just laughed.
Once they were in the elevator, Summer Lancaster was about to ask him to put her down, but before she could even speak, Kenneth Yatesโs fiery kiss descended on her, overwhelming and absolute.
He was like a starving infant, desperate to draw more and more from her. Summer Lancaster tried to resist at first, but he gave her no chance to fight back. Kissing her lips wasnโt enough; he pried them apart to taste the sweetness within.
The kiss left Summer Lancaster dizzy, her senses slipping away. Her eyes grew hazy and alluring. Her body went completely limp, and she could only hang from his neck, her arms wrapped tightly around him.
Unable to control his desire, Kenneth Yates lifted Summer Lancasterโs dress, his hand brazenly sliding underneath.
As if suddenly jolted awake, Summer Lancaster grabbed his hand. "Kenneth Yates, weโre in public!"
