CEO Vengeful Wife-Chapter 219: What is it you want this time?
The second Qin Nianzu eyes fell on the company's name, his eyes visibly widened. The perceptive assistant observed the subtle change in his expressions and immediately proposed. "Sir, do you need me to run a deeper investigation of this company?"
Preoccupied, Qin Niqnzu waved his hand to dismiss the assistant. "No need." Taking in a deep breath, he reclined into the chair and pinched the bridge of his nose to relieve the strain. It took a couple of minutes for him to calm down. Finally sighing, with his eyes still closed, he ordered. "Leave for now."
The assistant could not understand Mr. Qin's sudden change. Qin Nianzu was a mature, collected man with a great deal of self-control. No matter how big the news was, he would not let even a glimpse of his true thoughts to make their appearance.
But right now, his widening eyes were fairly...expressive. And the way Mr, Qin behaved, it was rather odd. For someone in his position to act this way, it was fairly aberrant.
'Seems like I'll have to report this to the Madam' With that thought in his mind, the assistant left without any question.
Once the door closed, Qin Nianzu stayed in the position for some time. After a long pause, he finally reopened his eyes. He glanced at the documents that laid quietly over the desk. A flicker of complex emotions appeared in his eyes. Immediately, he flipped through the documents. On the next page, there was a photo of a young woman.
Qin Nainzu's hands paused when his eyes detected a face.
In a decent attire with a small, beautiful smile, she sat over the office chair with her fingers crossed. Professional air surrounded her.
It was her, the current President of the Tang Enterpertise; Jing Lihua.
Her identifying feature; those deep green eyes were akin to a tranquil ocean, the one that would not manifest a ripple even amidst the most violent of a storm.
That was the feeling that woman radiated.
Those were the same green eyes...the same...that night...
Qin Nianzu snapped. Crunching the documents in his hands, he aimed directly for the telephone. Once the phone was in his hands, for a few minutes, he hesitated; he was caught in internal strife whether to dial to that person or not.
In the end, he finally dialed up, bringing the phone to his ear.
"Who is it speaking?" After a couple of rings, a man's voice came from the other side.
"I want an audience with Mr. Tang Liuwei."
Housekeeper Shu was offended when he detected the sense of entitlement in the stranger's tone. No matter what, Elder Tang was still a reputable name. How could anyone say his nam
e like this? And demand an audience with such insolence?
"Mr. Tang is yet asleep. If you have some important business, please call later." His tone was off.
As a reaction, Qin Nianzu's eyes darkened. "This is Qin Nianzu." He announced in a fairly flat tone. Then probed. "Is your Master still sleeping?" This time his tone held an edge of warning.
Hearing the name of the person, Housekeeper Shu's expressions changed. "Sir, please wait. I will hand over the phone to Mr. Tang right now!" With that, he put the phone on hold. With tangible trepidation upon his face, he hurried to the bedroom and woke up Tang Liuwei.
"Master, it's Mr-Mr Qin..."
Tang Liuwei brows furrowed. "Him?" It took him some time to recover from the blow and finally accept the phone.
"Yes, Master. It's Qin Nianzu from Hong Kong."
Tang Liuwei took a deep breath.
"Alright, leave now." Not wanting even his most trusted aide to hear a word, Tang Liuwei looked down at the caller's identity as if still wanting to confirm.
"I will be outside. If you need me for something, just call me." Before leaving, Housekeeper Shu glanced at his master. Although, Tang Liuwei's expressions were fairly stiff, unwilling to let out a single emotion, Housekeeper Shu could see how disturbed his master was.
Under the mask, housekeeper Shu could see his master's agitation.
'Maybe I should contact Xiao Lizi? In the past, she used to be irresponsible. But after her transition, she should be able to help her grandfather. After all, with his condition, any stress would do a great deal on his health. And this Qin Nianzu...he had always been bad news for Elder Tang. Although I am not clear on his relationship with Master, whenever he had tried to contact Master in the past, Master's health would deteriorate as a result.'
"You won't mention this to Jing Lihua at any cost." Suddenly, Tang Liuwei's voice entered housekeeper Shu ears making him stop in his tracks. When he looked back, he found that Tang Liuwei's eyes were deadly serious. His expressions clearly stated that he would not tolerate any disobedience in this matter.
Housekeeper Shu was even more perplexed at his master's harsh expressions. "Master, but..."
"If you whisper a single word to her, you can consider yourself dismissed." Tang Liuwei did not hesitate to exploit extreme warnings to silence any disobedience.
Housekeeper Shu was more than shocked at Elder Tang's explicit warning. He had been serving by Tang Liuwei's side for the last couple of decades. And never had he been as much as rebuked by him let alone being threatened to be dismissed.
Was this matter really that important?
"Understood?" Tang Liuwei pressed for affirmation.
"Yes," replied housekeeper Shu after some reluctance.
"You would do good to keep this in your mind. Now leave." Tang Liuweu's eyes didn't reveal a tinge of softness.
Still, in a state of discomposure, housekeeper Shu left the premises.
Once Tang Liuwei was finally alone in the room, his hard expressions revealed a crack. He glanced down at the phone. After some hesitation, he brought the phone up to his ear. Picking up the call, in a grave tone, he asked. "What is it that you want this time?"
