Lang Yufan was astonished. "Ah Lihua, you are not joking with me?"

Lang Yufan could not believe her word easily. How long had it been since she had divorced? Barely a few days...

How could she already be in love with someone? Unless-Unless she had been seeing this man a long time before her divorce and that man had prompted her to get a divorce! Was this man the reason she no longer loved Su Liwei? The more he thought about it, the more he felt it was probable.

"Why would I joke with you? I and my fiance are certainly in love."

"Fiance...?" Lang Yufan made a strange face.

This woman, it had only been a few days since she had left her husband and she was claiming to already have a fiance...?

This was even more absurd than her claiming to be already having a lover.

"Ah Lihua, even if you want to push me away, you don't need to use these roundabout excuses." Lang Yufan said, his tone stern with a hint of hurt at Jing Lihua lies.

"Why, Mr. Lang doesn't believe me? Would Mr. Lang also ignore this ring?" Jing Lihua nonchalantly raised her hand with a faint smile.

Lang Yufan's frowned in confusion at first. Then something sparkling on her middle finger attracted him. His eyes squinted as he inspected the ring. 

So was it true? Had she really gotten herself a fiance?

A second later, a sneer appeared on his lips. 

What sort of ring was that?

Engagement rings among the aristocrats were a big deal. Many legendary families used their family heirlooms as engagement rings. Even if no such heirloom was present in the family, the young masters of the wealthy families would get the finest craftsmen to get their wives their rings.

Lang Yufan had always shown keen interest in such superficial matters. So his knowledge regarding the matter was rather rich.

But the ring on Jing Lihua finger...although it was eye-catching and embellished with precious gems...it was nothing extraordinary in his eyes. Lang Yufan was certain that he had not seen this ring before.

That meant it did not come from a young master of a wealthy family. Neither it was from some experienced craftsman.

That to say the ring must have come from average doing family. In other words, Jing Lihua was so-called fiance as nothing more than a commoner.

At this, lang Yufan couldn't help but scoff in his heart "Ah Lihua, no matter what, you must not lower yourself to this level." Lang Yufan said with some assertion.

Jing Lihua formed slightly: "What do you mean?"

"After getting a divorce, women are prone to be emotionally unstable and make such decisions they would regret later. Ah Lihua, please understand that although you have been divorced, you are still worth more than...this." Disdain was evident in his eyes as he stressed upon the word 'this'.

Earlier Lang Yufan had been trying to make Jing Lihua feel inferior and suppress her arrogance in his subtle words. 

But now that he realized that she had already succumbed to the lowest level of her self esteem and engaged herself with an inadequate man, he tried to boost her a little so she would give up on that man and accept his proposal.

Jing Lihua was intrigued by his strategy.

Nevertheless, she pretended to be confused. "What Mr. Lang is trying to say, I really don't understand what you are implying at?"

"Since Ah Lihua asked for this, I will be direct. This man...he is not worth you."

Jing Lihua's expressions changed slightly: "How can you be certain on that? You have not even met him and you already judge him?"

"This man definitely doesn't have the qualifications to be your fiance. In any case, you can find several men a thousand times better than him to be willing to be you." Lang Yufan was obviously hinting at himself. "After the divorce, your sentiments must have been unstable, this why you must have been persuaded by him." He threw whatever logic he came with.

Lang Yufan was happy at the outcome. 'Who said this woman had a strong personality? If she can be easily coaxed with my words, her personality must be weaker than anything!'

"You do not need to concern yourself about that." Lang Yufan said with an air of confidence. "Just take me to see that man. After being confronted with me, he will back away at once!"
