Henry’s feet barely touched the ground as he sped across the hunting grounds, his velocity serum-enhanced speed allowing him to cover vast distances in mere seconds, and his speed rate only kept increasing as he ran. His eyes were fixed on the surroundings as he laid a target on the E-Ranked beasts currently in the area, just minding their business.
He took out his sword and with a swift and deadly precision, Henry dispatched each beast he encountered, his movements a blur as he struck and moved on to the next target. A Skywhisper’s wings were severed in mid-air, sending it crashing to the ground. A Burrower’s spine was snapped with a swift kick, ending its struggles. A Glimmerfang’s jaws were shattered by a crushing blow, silencing its deadly hiss.
Henry’s speed and agility allowed him to dodge the beasts’ attacks with ease, his reflexes honed to near-perfection. He moved with a fluid, almost dance-like motion, his footsteps light and deadly. He kept doing this, slaying each beast with god-like speed, killing them before they could even blink.
As he sped across the hunting grounds, Henry’s kill count rose rapidly, the system’s notifications flashing in his vision like a steady drumbeat.

The system kept ringing with various messages as Henry continued his massacre, he didn’t look like he was going to stop anytime soon.
"I feel so alive!" he exclaimed with excitement before the system appeared with another notification that seemed to make him more excited.

Henry grinned widely, he had managed to increase his speed rate by 200 percent. But this was also because he had consumed another serum during his lap.
He dashed through the hunting grounds and decided to move to higher ranked beasts. But even the D-Rank beasts were no match for Henry’s speed as he just swerved and slashed, not spending more than 2 seconds with each beast before obtaining a kill.

The system notified him of his rewards, he kept gathering Exp and Beast cores until he finally got the message he really wanted to see since he began the frenzy.

Henry stopped in his tracks, causing him to skid briefly on the ground, before shifting his gaze to the system and took in all the information.

Henry smiled as he read through the messages, he hadn’t received any new skills or stat point but he didn’t expect one anyways, he was focused on the main goal.
"Almost there, just need to keep grinding," he muttered and was about to continue his killing spree, but he suddenly paused.
"Hmm, why don’t I step up my game," Henry smirked and took out the box filled with the velocity serums. He opened it and
grabbed a vial, removing the lid and pouring the contents in his mouth.
The feeling of power increase, surged through his veins, giving his speed another boost potential, but Henry wasn’t done. He took another serum and consumed it, not caring much for the system notification that appeared in his face.
[Overuse of highly concentrated substance]

The system warned, but Henry ignored it and even drank another serum, now consuming 3 serums all at once. He didn’t care much for what the system said, afterall the people who created the serum never gave a prescription or term of use... Or maybe they did.
But it didn’t matter anymore as Henry was far gone already, the serum was like a narcotic that didn’t just boost his speed but also seemed to make him overly excited. It was like an hard drug and he was already addicted.
"Screw the system! I’ll... I’ll be able to move even fas... Faster than before," Henry stuttered while trying to maintain a cool head, he was acting like someone who was high on something strong.
But he quickly shook his head and took a deep breath. "Get it together Henry! Let’s do this!" he voiced out and began his dash again, disappearing from the area in an instant.
His accelerating speed was insanely fast and the amount at which his speed was increasing was terrifying.

"Haha! I’ve managed to reach this rate in Just 5 seconds. This is too exhilarating!" Henry exclaimed and began his beast hunt. This time he didn’t even pause to engage, he would only pass by the beast with a single slash. And due to the rank of the sword and the momentum he cut with, every beast he passed by died instantly.
He didn’t choose targets anymore, he just went on an all out mad frenzy, killing everything in sight and doing so in matter of milliseconds.

The system remained constant with it’s notifications, acting as a recorder for him to confirm his kills and after a while, it delivered another important notification.

Henry’s grin grew wider with each kill, his speed and efficiency a testament to his skill and the power of the velocity serum, his speed had boosted by an unbelievable rate and according to the system, he could still go faster. He was a force of nature, unstoppable and unrelenting.
"I wonder how many Exp i had managed to accumulate, i should check... " Henry paused as he noticed something in the distance. It was a large saber-toothed beast with an intimidating aura, but what interested was the mane the beast possessed. It seemed to be made of fire, burning endlessly and this reminded Henry of a particular beast that had traumatized him on the first day he arrived in the world.
"A flare! It’s really one, I’ve been hoping to find one of them ever since..." he muttered but paused for a while
"Well i finally found one, time for a little revenge," Henry grinned and began to dash in the beast direction. He didn’t know if he could face the beast head on but he planned to defeat it using his swift movements.
Henry was almost at the spot where the beast occupied, laying comfortably on the ground, unaware of it’s impending death.
He ran across the meadow and came across a wide and deep pit right in front of him. Henry could’ve just ran around it but he wanted to look badass and decided to jump over it. And gathering enough momentum before nearing the hole, Henry leapt.
As Henry leapt into the air, his velocity serum-enhanced speed and agility allowed him to clear a significant portion of the pit. However, just as he was about to land safely on the other side, a sudden, searing pain shot through his chest.
Henry’s eyes widened in shock as he felt his heart literally skip a beat, and then another. His vision began to blur, and his muscles went limp canceling all the momentum and velocity he had, leaving him motionless
"What’s going on?" he panicked inwardly as his body was stuck mid-air but it couldn’t remain there for long as no one, not even speedsters could defy Newton’s curse that easily.
Henry’s body went into a free fall, plummeting towards the bottom of the pit. He tried to cry out, but his voice was barely a whisper. He tried to activate his time perception skill but it was too late, he was gone.
"But I had stamina, how did this happen again!" he yelled inwardly, oblivious to the fact that his heart wasn’t beating normally, it felt like it wasn’t even beating anymore.
The system’s notifications flashed in his vision, a desperate attempt to alert him to the danger
[Danger! Overdose of concentrated substance]

"Fuck! That damned serum, i should have listened to the system." Henry muttered as he fell completely into the 20ft deep hole. But the system appeared again with a weird information. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

[Host would now enter an hibernation state until appropriate and required external help is given]
Even though Henry’s chest was hurting like crazy and his eyes a bit blurry, but he could still understand the system.
"Another protocol, wait! What trade? External help, does that mean I’d be asleep until I get healed by someone or something else? Crap! I’m about to fall into a deep hole, no one would find me here!" Henry exclaimed in his mind but to no avail, he couldn’t do anything about it, his heart stopped beating and he stopped breathing but somehow he was still alive. This was the system’s doing.
His vision faded to black as he lost consciousness, his body crashing into the dirt and rocks at the bottom of the pit.
[Host is now in enternal sleep state, emotional condition has been projected to companion]
The system informed one last time, but Henry was beyond responding. He lay motionless at the bottom of the pit, his body broken and still. The Flare, the saber-toothed beast with the fiery mane, remained unaware of the drama that had just unfolded, continuing to lounge in the distance, minding it’s predator business.
