Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Profound Snake Blood Ore

Xu Yang frowned slightly, trying to sense the vague information passed over by the dog.

"Did the dog just discover something?"

"Seems like it’s underground, there’s a red spiritual glow, covers a huge area..."

Because of the long distance, the info was pretty hazy.

Just based on this, Xu Yang’s heart suddenly jolted. Could it be some kind of special mineral vein?

That massive field of red glow, plus a huge underground cave-like area—other than a mineral vein, he couldn’t think of anything else!

Mineral vein?

Xu Yang squinted his eyes, looking at Wuo Changyuan walking ahead.

If it was just a spirit elixir or treasure, he’d let the dog bring it back.

But for a mineral vein, the dog couldn’t possibly mine much anyway.

"If I go alone, it’d take a ton of time; plus, the Kunwu Division would never let me leave by myself!"

"Looks like I’ll have to let Kunwu Division know, and then get some benefits out of it!"

Once that thought hit, Xu Yang made up his mind. The dog was already on its way back, should arrive any minute, he’d wait and ask in detail what it found before telling Wuo Changyuan!

Resources and benefits, he’d have to fight for them himself!

But wanting something doesn’t mean you’ll get it.

He refined pills for Kunwu Division, they protected him, gave him status and some cultivation resources.

For the average person, that would be more than enough!

But for Xu Yang, it was never enough.

Cultivating the Celestial Refining Divine Scripture burned through resources at several times the usual rate.

About fifteen minutes passed.

A small beast shot out of the forest, crazy fast!

"What’s that thing?"

"So freaking fast—holy shit, it’s a dog!"

The crowd exploded into chaos.

The dog barked fiercely at the crowd, then bolted straight to Xu Yang.

Wuo Changyuan stared at the dog in surprise—its speed, basically reached Yin Realm level.

"Mr. Xu, is this dog of yours some kind of special spiritual beast?"

Xu Yang gave a faint smile, "That’s right."

Wuo Changyuan relaxed—no wonder Xu Yang cared so much for this dog.

Spiritual beast, then it made sense.

Suddenly, as the dog raced toward Xu Yang, its eyes lit up, it barked happily, spun around, and dashed straight for another figure!

"Uh!"

Xu Yang’s face filled with confusion—what the hell was this dog doing?

When Wuo Ling sensed something was off, she dodged instinctively.

But the dog was way too fast.

Her vision blurred, and all she could do was raise her arm—then something furry crashed right into her full chest.

Stung a bit!

Wuo Ling grunted, stumbled back two steps, looking down—just in time to see the dog’s soulful eyes.

Coat of yellow-white fur.

Looked like a puppy that hadn’t fully grown yet!

"What a cute little puppy."

She instinctively reached out to pet it.

Whoa!!

The dog snuggled hard against Wuo Ling’s chest, its two front paws shamelessly grabbing on.

Wuo Ling shivered, cheeks flushed a mix of shame and annoyance, and lifted the dog off her.

The dog kicked its legs, then tilted its head and sprawled contentedly on her arm.

The move was so silly, Wuo Ling couldn’t help but giggle.

"..."

Xu Yang’s jaw literally dropped. Speechless!

Damn, is this dog a pervert?

Totally speechless.

"Dog, get back here," Xu Yang called out.

The dog tilted its head, threw him a look, barked once, then adjusted itself for a comfier spot, just kept lounging.

Lying on a guy couldn’t compare with lying on a beauty—so much sweeter!

"So fragrant!"

Feeling the message through the imprint, Xu Yang’s face twitched.

Damn, you really are a dog.

Wuo Ling cast a complicated look at Xu Yang—so this was his dog.

Thinking of how Xu Yang had saved her earlier, she bit her lip and slowly looked away.

All Daqian people deserve to die.

But this one, she could barely forgive.

"Mr. Wuo, let’s let them go first."

Xu Yang shook his head, helpless, ignoring the dog, and focused on Wuo Changyuan. "The dog found something, seems like a mineral vein."

"Mineral vein?"

Wuo Changyuan froze, stunned, glancing at the dog enjoying Wuo Ling’s embrace.

"What kind of vein?"

After asking, Wuo Changyuan shook his head.

Like a dog would know what kind of mineral vein it is?

Kinda pointless to ask.

"Are you sure?" Wuo Changyuan looked at Xu Yang with a serious face.

Barbarian Race’s mineral veins were scarce, especially the ores for forging weapons.

After years of war with Daqian, they’d nearly exhausted most mines, some even acquired secretly by trading with Daqian merchants.

Faced with Wuo Changyuan’s doubt, Xu Yang nodded hard.

Wuo Changyuan’s expression grew serious: "I’ll tell them to go on ahead, then we’ll check it out."

He finished and quickly strode off.

In no time, the rest of the Wudao Army moved out.

Only Xu Yang, Wuo Changyuan, and Wuo Ling remained!

Seeing how comfy the dog looked, Xu Yang sighed—probably no way to get him back yet.

Anyway, bringing Wuo Ling along wasn’t a big deal.

"So what exactly are we doing?" Wuo Ling asked warily, glancing at Wuo Changyuan.

Wuo Changyuan didn’t hide it: "This dog might’ve found a mineral vein. We’re going to check it out."

"Mineral vein?"

Wuo Ling cried out, staring at the dog in shock.

Whoa! 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

The dog proudly lifted its little head, snuggled up somewhere, showing an utterly contented face.

Wuo Ling didn’t mind—after all, it was just a dog.

And the dog was pretty pleasing; she really liked it.

"If it really is a mineral vein, you’re getting a reward." Wuo Ling couldn’t help laughing.

Xu Yang’s mouth twitched—A reward?

Why not let the dog sleep with you for the night?

He bet, if that was the reward, the dog would never return for like half a month, and he as the master would be totally ignored.

When the chance comes, he absolutely had to find a foxy little female dog for his own dog.

"Let’s go."

Wuo Changyuan waved his hand.

"Dog, lead the way," Xu Yang snapped, shooting a glare at the dog.

The dog begrudgingly stood up.

The three humans and one beast darted into the wild.

Wuze Major Vein was massive—pretty much spanned the Barbarian Race from north to south, connecting to the Barbaric Mountain Range, and served as the boundary between Kunwu Division and Guo Wen Division.

East and west sides of the vein belonged to each clan, while the vast central mountains were neutral territory—both sides free to explore.

Of course, if you crossed paths, expect a bloody fight!

About half an hour passed.

Guided by the dog, the trio arrived at a hilly area with ancient trees all around, wild grass everywhere, and jagged rocks.

Through a fissure in the ground, halfway in, they found a side cave hidden inside.

The three squeezed in cautiously, winding their way down the natural cave fissure.

After a few dozen breaths’ time—

A field of red light dazzled their eyes.

Entering the deepest part of the cave, all three stared in shock.

"What kind of mineral vein is this?"

Xu Yang’s heart pounded. The stone walls and even the floor were covered in blood-red crystals, shimmering with sinister red light.

A violent, savage aura surged through the cave, making him feel uneasy—these ores were anything but ordinary!

Wuo Ling and Wuo Changyuan shuddered, eyes wide as saucers.

"Th-th-this... how is this possible?" Wuo Ling sputtered, stunned as if struck by lightning.

"Profound Snake Blood Ore!"

"My god, it’s seriously a Profound Snake Blood Ore this huge!"

Wuo Changyuan screamed, utterly shocked. In the red glow, his eyes blazed with feverish excitement—like he’d swallowed an aphrodisiac.
