The third option was to engrave a Tractor Formation on the Wave Treader. This formation could not only facilitate boarding and disembarking for the crew but would also enable him to control other ships while sailing, pulling them closer to the Wave Treader.
He initially planned to add a formation to the Wave Treader. It would not only solve the issue of boarding and disembarking but could also serve as a wild card during sailing.
But considering the current unbearable heat and the endless night to come, the best thing ordinary people could do during these disasters was to stay home.
Therefore, in the end, Dong Tianyu decided to save the expense and did not build an elevator. He ended up choosing the rope ladder.

Perhaps due to its conversion into a Magic Artifact, the interior layout of the ship could be adjusted according to Dong Tianyu’s wishes as long as the essential supporting columns were not touched.
Dong Tianyu did not make many changes to the other spaces, only altering the first deck below the main one.
By decreasing the number of rooms and expanding their size, he managed to carve out a small open area which he transformed into a fully-open bar.
After the space remodeling, Dong Tianyu began decorating the interior. Though, calling it decorating would be a stretch, it was more like placing furniture.
After slightly arranging things inside and placing some supplies on the second deck below the main one, Dong Tianyu made his way to the top-level command room.
None of the other matters were important. What mattered most was to place the Spiritual Stones into the Spiritual Energy Conversion Furnace.
Despite the command room being the most conspicuous part of the Wave Treader, it was also the ship’s core.
Unlike traditional ships whose vital parts were hidden within the ship’s body, the Wave Treader’s vital part was the clearly visible command room.
Considering it carefully, this design choice made sense since Magic Artifacts were primarily controlled by Divine Sense. The closer the Divine Sense was to the subject, the finer the control achieved.
Unlike ordinary ships, those who chose to board the Wave Treader, a low-class Magic Artifact, were not the captains residing in the command room, but those living in the cabins beneath the command room, thus theoretically making the command room safer than the cabins below the deck.
The Conversion Furnace was the core item of the Wave Treader. Due to the excess amount of formations engraved upon the body, Dong Tianyu could not maintain traditional formation setup by pre-installing Spiritual Stones in each formation.
The Conversion Furnace acted like an engine, supplying energy to other formations on the body of the ship.
With the presence of the Conversion Furnace, Dong Tianyu didn’t need to install Spiritual Stones for each formation. He only needed to ensure the energy in the furnace was not completely depleted so that the ship’s formation would not lose effectiveness due to energy shortage.
