"China has no shortage of wealthy and influential families either," He Wenyun smiled calmly, "And there are plenty of rich men like Leon pursuing me."

Daniel: "You are a very proud woman."

"If I weren’t proud, how would I have come to the United States to make movies?" He Wenyun said. "Daniel, even though you’re not as obvious as Gediyah, you actually look down on us foreigners a bit, don’t you?"

Daniel immediately raised his hands, feigning innocence, and said, "I swear, I absolutely don’t, I absolutely support equality at birth."

He Wenyun laughed and said, "You can deny it, but I don’t mind it as much as you think, Daniel. I know you’re not as casual and nonchalant as you appear. Maybe the American film companies think you only suit playing handsome guys in big commercial productions to make female audiences scream or starring in romance movies to indulge everyone in fantasies of dating you. But I’ve seen many of your films. You actually have pursuits of your own. No matter how clichéd the role is, you infuse your understanding and creativity into it."

Daniel was stunned.

He never expected to hear such words from a Chinese woman.
