CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 298: Pact Spells
"This power feels so familiar..." Evelynn was inside her room when everything happened.
The scenery of the beach calmed her and gave her some sort of epiphany. The Siren ran her hand through the blue flow of energy dancing in the air.
The voice of the black cat echoed in her head, ’The power of Tidal. You are more specialized in control but maybe you can learn more about yourself through this manifestation. Focus.’
’Yes, Master.’ Evelynn nodded.
In Mater’s Dark Grimoire, a new sketch quickly took shape.
Similar to Hellfire, Nether, and Death Ice. The three types of servants of Rank-2 Warlocks also had their own type of power. However, instead of powers from hell, the power of Rank-2 servants focused more on elemental power of the living realm.
Tidal represented the power of Air and Water for Siren.
Terrestrial represented the power of Earth and Plant for Satyr.
The last one, the Ethereal Fae, was a little different and the hardest to acquire.
Mater had just manifested the power of Tidal and created a new Rank-2 Spell called Tidal Vortex.
[Tidal Vortex]
[Rank]: 2
[Effect]: You may summon a vortex of air and water. This vortex shall weaken most supernatural power within the area. You may call upon lightning to strike any affected beings. This lightning might be chained for a more destructive effect.
[Cost]: 500 Chaos Point per minute (Continuous Spell)
Continuous Spell was a spell that continued for as long as the user had enough Chaos.
At Mater’s location, a dragon of water and air looked at him and smiled before disappearing.
The illusion in the Underpark also disappeared and the place returned to its original appearance. Selina and the servants returned to their respective room.
Bash was playing with Aurora when it happened.
"Has Master always been this strong?" Bas touched his chin. He was smarter but was still a little confused.
Aurora patted his head, "No. Master becomes stronger every day."
Then, not long after, a second illusion manifested.
"Again?" Sparrow and Crow were playing cards with each other.
Crow was a sharp man that could easily spot if anyone cheated.
Sparrow was a man that always cheated and he cheated in a sublime way.
Their game with each other was a competition between a prosecutor and a criminal. It was surprisingly fun as both of them could show the other their best strength.
This time, the illusion was more subtle. The Underpark was still the Underpark but more ancient. The hideout that Sparrow became more complex. The cave system now had symbols and patterns drawn everywhere.
At Mater’s location, a large orange tiger lay bare. It was the main manifestation of this new spell.
The tiger was resting its chin on its arms. It opened its eyes and growled at Mater once before disappearing. The Underpark returned to its ordinary appearance.
[Terrestrial Invasion]
[Rank]: 2
[Effect]: Pick an area that is no larger than 100-meter radius. An earthquake will befall the area. Thorn vines shoot out from within the earth and attack any being within it.
[Cost]: 3,000 Chaos Point
"Sheesh!" The black cat chuckled. "This spell originally only had a max effective radius of 50 meters. It has now doubled that amount. The cost didn’t lower as much as I like though."
Terrestrial Invasion was Mater’s first ever giant scale spell. It could be considered as the most destructive spell he had at the moment.
Nether Beam was a better tool for precision attack though.
"Well. That should be enough."
Mater completed his current spell list.

’Everyone. Come to me. Let’s finalize your pact spells.’ Mater connected to his telepathic chat room.
All the servants arrived.
The current level of the servants were as follows.
Aurora as the Glacial-Elk White. Rank-2. Level 20.
Crow as the Abyssal Formless-Abomination. Rank-1. Level 10.
Bash as the Infernal Brute-Demon. Rank-2. Level 20.
Nameless as the Abyssal Helmet of Vengeance. Rank-1. Level 10.
Evelynn as the Pure Tidal Siren. Rank-1. Level 5.
Sparrow as the Terrestrial-Spirit Satyr. Rank-1. Level 10.
Solarix as the Infernal Demonic Revenant. Rank-1 Level 7.
Selina and Blanche were exceptions as they weren’t actually Mater’s Submission Servants.
Selina, a Psychic, had reached level 7 Rank-1 and had received more Chaos from Mater to grow stronger.
Blanche was also a Psychic with an innate Psycho Force. Her Psycho Force grew surprisingly fast and she was already level 5 Rank-1.
The higher in level they were. The more spells from the Dark Grimoire they could equip.
As Rank-1, a level 10 could equip five pact spells.
As Rank-2, each 10 level allowed them to effectively use 2 of Mater’s Rank-2 spells.
Crow hadn’t advanced to Rank-2 yet. He needed to stay in Rank-1 to complete the Trial of Combat for the Luciente. He kept his Pact Spells as: Chains of Shadow; Desperation Scream; Petrification Void; Water Clones; and Crow’s Call.
Aurora was next. She entered the dark red space and picked her spells.
With her own, Aurora could deal great damage. But her defense and mobility were very low. So first, she chose Layered Force Dome as her first Rank-2 Pact Spell.
The second, she chose Octagram Chaos Eyes.
Omnimotion was also a good contender but she already had Northern Steps, which allowed her to have very good mobility.
As soon as Aurora equipped the Octagram Chaos Eyes, the Submission Mark on her glimmered.
All Submission Marks changed after Mater added the Chaos Pact on top of it. Aside from the Glacial symbol, there was an Octagram around it.
Aurora’s eyes changed and two octagrams appeared. Her octagrams were pure white, not red as Selina or dark as Mater.
