CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 268: Squid Wraith

The large Void Wraith got out from the portal. It was a humanoid wraith also. But this one was bulkier than the last Rank-2 Void Wraith.

It had a big body and smooth surface. A tank build.

"Heh... So someone designed these wraiths. They aren’t a natural occurrence." Mater licked his mouth.

The wraith had no red eye, surprisingly. Only a smooth white surface. It locked onto Crow and charged at him.

Crow was slicing a few wraiths with his Nether Swords. His head snapped toward the large wraith.

"Nuh uh! Your fight is with me."

Mater used Chaos Control to raise the platform and shot the Void Wraith to the air.

A white armor materialized and wrapped around the leopard. Mater had just activated the Glacial Death Plates.

He curled into a Spike Ball and shot at the large Void Wraith. By using Omnimotion, he made his body as light as possible, increasing his speed.

Just before he slammed at the large Void Wraith, Mater made his body as heavy as possible and bounced on the wraith.

The Rank-2 Void Wraith disappeared from his location. It was flung so hard that it looked like it teleported.

The Void Wraith scraped on the ground for meters, digging out a large canal on the platform of the church.

Mater didn’t let it go that easily and continued slamming on it from the air. Each time, the Death Plates harmed the Void Wraith even more and sent more death into its body.

The smooth white surface of the Void Wraith cracked. It growled and tried to get out of the barrage.

But every time it tried to stand up, Mater bounced on it again. The leopard’s body felt like brick. It was much heavier than it looked because of Omnimotion.

Finally, Mater destroyed its outer shell, revealing a red glowing eye inside.

"Ah, there you are!"

The red eye shined brightly.

"Retreat, Crow!"

Mater turned into a strip of darkness and bolted backwards.

Crow kicked a Rank-1 Void Wraith away and also used Abyssal Dash.

The master and the servant got out of there quickly and returned to the place where the rectangular device was.

Mater constructed three Triple Layered Force Domes around them. Behind the Domes were also an Elemental Shield.

The two shadow spiders also tried to get out of the blasted area. Unfortunately, they weren’t as fast as Crow and Mater.

The Rank-2 Wraith exploded. Its red eye blasted a Chaos Wave to the surroundings, killing the remaining of the Void Wraiths and the two Shadow Spiders.

"Ah... What a waste. I would have eaten those specters." The leopard’s deep voice echoed.

The explosion was only able to destroy one Force Dome. The other two and the Elemental Shield survived.

The large Void Wraith from before revealed its true form. A being of pure red energy. The red of Chaos.

"What the..." Crow squinted his white eyes. "It looked like a squid."

"You aren’t wrong, Crow." The leopard grinned widely.

The large Void Wraith had escaped its egg shell and became a squid. A questionable revolutionary choice.

Its body was long with many tentacles swirling in the air. It was a Chaos squid.

The squid wraith could fly now, no longer restrained to its heavy body. It bolted to the air. Its many tentacles shot toward Crow and Mater.

The Abyssal Abomination fused his two swords together to make a two-headed spear. He spun the spear, slicing the tentacles.

One of them was too fast and shot through the spear, plunging inside Crow’s body.

He grunted quietly then severed the tentacle.

The Chaos of the squid flooded into Crow’s body and temporarily froze him.

"Careful, Master! It could immobilize us."

"Got it, Crow."

Mater flew sharply in the air. With the combination of his Omnimotion and Crow’s Abyssal Dash, the squid was unable to catch him.

"Try to unfreeze yourself and return to the device, Crow. Keep it safe. I will take care of this wraith."

Nether Energy flooded to the wound and pushed the foreign Chaos out of Crow’s body.

"Roger, Master!"

Crow nodded and retreated back to the device.

"Heh. Let’s see how effective Hellfire’s Sealed Pit is."

Mater raised his paw and grabbed the air.

Suddenly, a circle of hellfire appeared right next to the squid wraith. Orange fiery chains shot out from the circle and wrapped around the squid.

The giant eye of the squid locked onto the circle and repeatedly shot out red beams at it. The Hellfire’s circle was destroyed before it could hurt the squid wraith.

"I overestimate a Rank-1 spell." Mater rolled his eyes.

The leopard opened its mouth and started its Nether Beams barrage. He did not use any fancy tricks, only trying to overwhelm the squid wraith with the godly amount of attacks.

The squid could feel the power of darkness hell upon it immediately. Its red body cracked as dark veins spread.

The squid focused its red eye and aimed it at Mater. It, too, released a beam. A red Chaos beam at Mater.

"I’m always ready for a beam fight!"

Mater opened his mouth and focused his Nether Beam. A thick purple beam shot out and met the red beam.

They fought in the air and twisted the dimension. But the difference in power was obvious. The squid’s red beam was weaker than Mater’s Nether Beam.

The Nether beam overwhelmed the red beam and plunged a hole into the squid’s red eye.

Mater cut the power of the Nether immediately. He used Abyssal Dash to get close to the squid. His right paw had already crystallized.

’Ready yourself, Selina.’

Selina closed her eyes.

Mater’s leopard paw pierced through the squid wraith. He called upon Selina’s Psycho Force to convert it.

’This is too much...’

Selina grabbed a pillow and rolled around in her bed. The power of a Void Wraith going inside her Psycho Force was too bearable. She felt like her entire head could explode.

’Easy there... I’m here to help you...’ Mater’s voice came just in time.

His Chaos flooded inside Selina’s Psycho Force and reinforced her own power. Selina could feel the ease and relief right away.

Her two feet rubbed together without stopping as she felt the mix between pain and pleasure. Her cheeks blushed red and she buried her face into the pillow.
