Capturing the Young Doctor's Heart: Mr. Big Shot Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 150: Dreamed That I Jumped Off a Building?
After a long, long time.
She acted as though nothing had happened and returned to his hospital room.
Coincidentally, the last bottle of infusion just finished, and the nurse came to remove the needle. She quietly went into the bathroom to freshen up.
She then wrung out a warm towel for him.
"No strength," Finn Prescott said weakly.
Claire Prescott helplessly placed the towel over his face, wiping it haphazardly.
Finn Prescott closed his eyes tightly and, once the towel was removed, teased, "Are you trying to murder your own brother?"
Claire ignored him, turned her head, and went back to the bathroom.
She then lay down on the caregiver’s sofa, "Call me if you need anything."
With that said.
She turned off the light.
The room didn’t plunge into complete darkness. The nightlight by the bed was on, and the light from the corridor streamed through the small transparent window at the door.
Claire Prescott picked up her phone, opened a gray avatar, and sent a message:
[Good night]

All her actions were seen by Finn Prescott.
With his sister by his side, he naturally felt at ease and soon cleared his mind and drifted into sleep.
However.
In the early morning, hearing his sister’s murmurs, he woke up,
Finn Prescott weakly got out of bed and walked over to her.
In the dim light, he vaguely saw her expression twisted, fists clenched tightly, limbs stiffly pinned to the bed.
Clearly, she was having a nightmare.
Finn Prescott raised a hand, gently soothing her head, "It’s alright now, don’t be afraid, brother is here."
Gradually, she calmed down.
He crouched by her side for a while, watching tears spill from her eyes, soaking her temples.
His brow furrowed slightly, and after she’d completely settled down, he returned to his bed.
Instinctively wanting a cigarette, but there wasn’t even a shadow of one in the room.
So, he had to resist and lay back in bed until dawn.
The next day.
After the nurse finished checking, Claire Prescott sent Tiger a message to ask for a morning off.
As she looked up, she met that complex and unclear gaze.
It wasn’t the first time since she woke up that he looked at her like that. Although his complexion was somewhat better than the night before, that look clearly indicated he had something to say.
"What did you dream about last night?" Finn Prescott finally asked.
Claire Prescott was momentarily stunned, "How do you know I dreamed last night?"
"You talked in your sleep."
"What did I say?"
Finn Prescott said three words without any inflection: "Brother, don’t, don’t jump."
Claire Prescott’s expression froze, staring fixedly at him.
So, Finn Prescott ventured a guess, "Dream about me jumping from a building?"
"..." Claire was speechless for a while, then unreasonably said, "I stayed here out of the goodness of my heart to look after you, yet you eavesdrop on me talking in my sleep."
After saying so, she turned and teasingly left the room.
Finn Prescott was helpless but still smiled as her figure disappeared, knowing she would come back, even though he didn’t know where she was headed.
Claire Prescott went downstairs to buy breakfast.
Indeed, she had a nightmare last night. She couldn’t remember the specifics, nor why they were at some cliff edge. There was no logic in the sequence of events, only the clear memory of him trying to end his life.
Later, he really jumped off the cliff.
And then her emotions collapsed, filled with a sense of struggle and helplessness.
That was the end of it.
Perhaps Finn Prescott’s words from the night before lingered in her heart, leading to such a nightmare.
However.
Though it was just a dream, it clearly reflected her deepest emotions.
She frowned, and after buying breakfast, calmly returned to the room.
For breakfast, Finn Prescott had only a bowl of rice soup. Just as Claire Prescott finished checking his pulse, the nurse came in to give him an injection.
Claire Prescott sat on guard, and suddenly the nurse approached her, "Dr. Prescott, could you take a look at what’s wrong with me?"
Claire Prescott hesitated for a moment but kindly agreed, "Sure."
The nurse smiled delightedly, extending her wrist, "I often have stomach issues. The last time I had a gastroscopy, they found polyps, which the doctor removed. Later, when I consumed cold or spicy food, I would still experience bloating and difficulty digesting."
After examining her tongue, Claire Prescott quickly reached a conclusion, "Do you have pen and paper?"
The nurse immediately pulled out the already-prepared pen and paper from her pocket.
As Claire Prescott wrote, she advised, "Your issue is a weak spleen and stomach leading to phlegm stagnation in the stomach. The treatment focuses on harmonizing the spleen and stomach. I’ll prescribe some medicine for you to adjust for a few days. You can eat foods that strengthen the spleen like yam, coix seeds, and lotus seeds. Radishes and hawthorn help digestion, eat more vegetables. Spicy, greasy, cold, sweet, and pickled foods should be avoided to reduce phlegm dampness."
Finally, she added, "Everyone’s constitution is different. No matter how tempting, some things shouldn’t be eaten."
"Got it."
After the final stroke, Claire Prescott returned the pen and paper to her.
The nurse hurriedly thanked her, "Dr. Prescott, how much do I owe you for the consultation?"
"It’s not necessary; just look after him a bit more when I’m not around."
The nurse followed her gaze to the person on the bed, "Rest assured, I’m Mr. Prescott’s assigned nurse. I’ll take good care of your brother."
"Then, I’ll be on my way. Thank you, Dr. Prescott."
"You’re welcome."
After the nurse left, the room was left with just the two of them.
Finn Prescott’s eyes darkened slightly, "Are you leaving?"
"Checked your pulse, you’re much more stable than last night. I think you can handle it on your own."
"Leaving me alone in the hospital?" His sickly visage accompanied the heavy voice, making it seem lonely and fragile.
"Stop pretending." Claire Prescott saw through his ruse at a glance.
Finn Prescott was left speechless, turning his eyes away as his dark brows furrowed steadily downward.
Just then.
His phone rang.
His left hand was still on an IV drip, and since it was far away, Claire Prescott understood his look and went to get his phone. She inadvertently saw the word "Grandma" on the screen.
Finn Prescott took it and slid to answer, calling out, "Grandma."
It was about his illness; she asked a few questions.
"It’s all good now, my sister is here with me."
Later.
Claire couldn’t hear their conversation. Finn Prescott handed her the phone, "Grandma wants to speak with you."
Claire hesitated for a while, took the phone, and went outside to answer it.
It seemed she hadn’t called them voluntarily since returning from Valoria last time.
So, the first thing the elder did was chide her for not missing them.
Then about Finn Prescott’s illness, followed by praise for how well Uncle Lancaster’s treatment went, and lastly, asked her to take care of her brother.
After the call ended, she returned to the room and handed the phone back to him.
Finn Prescott asked, "What did Grandma say to you?"
