Campus Ace Girl-Chapter 654 - 655: Min Xin, Have You Made Your Decision?
Gu Anxi knew the breakfast would be delicious just by looking at it, so she started eating happily. Min Xin, however, sat to one side, sulking and refusing to touch his food. Wang Yuan was so anxious he practically wanted to feed Min Xin himself.
He looked at Zhou Yu for help, but she pretended not to see.
He’s not my husband; why should I care?
Wang Yuan sighed softly. When women get ruthless, there’s really nothing men can do.
Gu Anxi finished her breakfast, completely satisfied. Zhou Yu, meanwhile, went for her check-up. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Half an hour later, assured that everything was fine, she was to be discharged.
The driver Min Xin had sent was already waiting downstairs.
Two servants accompanied Zhou Yu. After they packed her belongings, she was ready to leave. Min Xin, who was injured and not supposed to go out, only saw her off at the doorway, watching until she was gone.
Gu Anxi, however, accompanied her downstairs and saw her into the car before returning. Min Xin was still there, sitting vacantly on the small sofa Zhou Yu had occupied.
Gu Anxi leaned against the door and smiled. "Mr. Min, have you made your decision yet?"
Min Xin tilted his head. "What?"
Gu Anxi tilted her head. "Are you still insisting on siding with Dark, still determined to oppose King Jingyao? Let me tell you something, Mr. Min. You’re already around forty-five. Even if you manage to bring down my old brother, you’d probably only hold power for about five years. And then what? All this scheming and effort will ultimately just benefit someone else."
Min Xin narrowed his eyes.
Gu Anxi slowly walked over. "Isn’t the incident with Hong Fu enough to show that you can no longer control Dark? If she could bomb Si Garden, then one day, if you and Dark have a falling out, she could bomb your home too."
Min Xin chuckled lightly. "And if I were to side with you? I doubt there’d be a good outcome for me then."
Gu Anxi laughed carelessly. "That’s your choice, Mr. Min. But don’t forget, everyone on my side can protect themselves. Sister Zhou Yu, however, is completely defenseless."
She continued, "The fall of the Bo Family wouldn’t benefit you in the slightest, Mr. Min. After they’ve taken over the Bo Family, they’ll target your position next. Do you really think one mountain can house two tigers? You and Dark are merely a motley crew; you’ve never truly been on the same boat."
Min Xin clenched his fists.
Gu Anxi continued, "If I were you, I’d put a bullet in Hong Fu and be done with it."
Min Xin looked wary. "Then why didn’t you finish her off that day? Why did you let her live?"
Gu Anxi smiled slightly. "I kept her alive; naturally, I have my uses for her. But let me remind you, Mr. Min, Hong Fu is the biggest ticking time bomb for *you*."
With that, she turned and left.
Wang Yuan waited until she was gone, then closed the door, leaned in, and said softly, "Sir, I actually think Little Gu has a point. The situation with Dark... it’s truly problematic. And the matter in South Africa..."
Min Xin glanced at him. "The events in South Africa have nothing to do with me."
As far as he was concerned, success in South Africa would only be to his advantage; it could even indirectly lead to King Jingyao’s downfall. If it failed, it would be an internal matter for Dark. For him, it was a situation where he couldn’t lose, and he wasn’t willing to give it up at this critical juncture.
Wang Yuan sighed. "It’s true we’re not directly involved, Sir. But... didn’t you understand her implication? If the Bo Family falls, I suspect Little Gu won’t let us off the hook."
Min Xin scoffed. "What can she do?"
Wang Yuan made a hand gesture. "With her marksmanship, taking someone’s life would be incredibly easy for her!"
