Campus Ace Girl-Chapter 631 - 632: Revenge from Gu Anxi
Gu Anxi stood there, watching the fireworks.
Her blood seemed to freeze, and her fingers gradually clenched, numb and stiff.
"Fengxi..." she murmured, as two hot tears slid from the corners of her eyes.
The whole world seemed to darken and grow quiet. There was no sound at all.
Gu Anxi slowly walked into the Orchid Room, her fingers touching the small box by the door. It was scorched.
Her throat felt constricted. Disregarding the burning heat, she dismantled the box and found a tiny chip inside—Fengxi’s carrier.
She immediately rushed to the study to connect it to a computer. The data was completely blank. There was no trace of Fengxi. Fengxi was completely gone.
Gu Anxi sat quietly, staring blankly at the laptop’s blue screen.
Bo Xichen appeared by her side at some point. "Anxi." He gently touched her, as if to confirm she was alright. He had briefly activated Fengxi in the study and received her last message: "Warning deactivated." He then immediately rushed back, only to witness the final scene.
Gu Anxi lifted her head, her face expressionless. She murmured, "Uncle, Fengxi is gone."
Bo Xichen stepped forward and gently hugged her, letting her small head rest in his embrace. His voice was hoarse as he said, "I’ll create another Fengxi for you."
"That won’t be the same Fengxi." She burst into sobs. "Even if there is another Fengxi, it won’t have our memories... SOB..."
Bo Xichen also felt a pang of sadness. He had never seen Anxi cry before.
She cried like a child. "Fengxi self-destructed because of me! She cut off the bomb’s activation sequence, but now she’s gone too!"
Bo Xichen didn’t say anything, merely lowered his head and held her quietly.
When Bo Nianyao and Lady Bo arrived, the Orchid Room was a wreck.
Lady Bo, upon learning Fengxi was gone and seeing her precious Anxi so heartbroken, was furious. "Is that woman insane? Choosing to be a menace instead of a decent person! What good could come from getting mixed up with Min Xin and Bo Qing!"
Bo Nianyao also felt it was a great pity. Fengxi had been so lively and got along wonderfully with Anxi; they often bickered playfully. Now that Fengxi was gone, Anxi was suddenly like an only child with no one to play with.
Lady Bo hugged her lovingly. "Don’t cry anymore. We’ll have Xichen see if he can get her back."
They felt the loss, but they were more relieved that Gu Anxi was unharmed. Without Fengxi, Anxi might have... today...
Lady Bo said softly, "We can’t stay here tonight. Let’s go to our place for the night."
Bo Xichen nodded and picked Gu Anxi up. She was still clutching the laptop, her hand gripping the tiny chip.
All night, they didn’t sleep, tirelessly attempting to retrieve Fengxi.
She seemed almost crazed, but Bo Xichen stayed with her, also trying desperately to find Fengxi.
As dawn broke, Gu Anxi opened her sore, stinging eyes and said softly, "We can’t retrieve her."
She looked down at the chip in her hand. "Fengxi is gone."
Then she added, "But the memories are still here, so Fengxi can definitely come back."
She closed her laptop and slowly got up. "Uncle, I need to step out."
He reached out and took her hand. "Anxi!"
Gu Anxi shook her head. "I know you want to go, but Uncle, you have the Bo family behind you, and your position doesn’t allow it."
Bo Xichen’s voice was low. "We made a promise."
She smiled faintly. "I won’t do anything foolish."
Bo Xichen’s eyes tightened, and he agreed in a hoarse voice.
Gu Anxi carefully put away the tiny chip, slipped on a black jacket, and put on a cap.
She drove off in a sports car. News of her departure quickly reached Bo Nianyao and Lady Bo. Lady Bo was frantic, scolding her son, "How could you let Anxi go out?"
Bo Xichen said quietly, "She needs to vent. She’s been too tense."
The culprit was Hong Fu. It was obvious who she had gone to find.
Lady Bo was still anxious and continued to berate her son. Bo Nianyao, however, was somewhat calmer. "It seems this woman was targeting Anxi all along."
Bo Xichen’s fingers clenched. There was still an important matter he had to attend to. Si Garden, and all the places they frequented, definitely needed more sophisticated security measures.
On the mountain road outside Si Garden, Gu Anxi sped in her car, driving straight to Min Xin’s mansion.
Early in the morning, Min Xin was having breakfast. Seeing Gu Anxi, he was somewhat surprised. "Little Gu, what wind blew you here?"
As he spoke, he noted Gu Anxi’s icy expression, brimming with hatred.
He snorted. "Who offended you this time? Or did someone bomb your home?"
Gu Anxi flicked a Butterfly Fly towards him, and it embedded itself just beside Min Xin’s hand.
Min Xin paused, looking up. "What’s this about?"
Wang Yuan, standing nearby, was also startled. "Yes, Little Gu, what are you doing? We all know each other here. Why not join us for breakfast?"
"Where is Hong Fu?" Gu Anxi stepped forward, pressing a small blade against Min Xin’s throat.
Min Xin narrowed his eyes. "What do you want with her?"
Gu Anxi sneered. "Didn’t Mister Min just say it? She bombed my home."
Min Xin was shocked. "What are you talking about?"
Gu Anxi leaned in. "Perhaps you’re unaware, but Hong Fu is indeed your capable subordinate, placed by Bo Qing’s side. However, she’s in love with Bo Qing. She didn’t tell you such a significant thing, did she, Mister Min?"
Min Xin’s gaze was fixed. "Really?"
Gu Anxi’s voice grew even colder. "Naturally, she wouldn’t admit it! If she can attack me today, she can attack Zhou Yu tomorrow. Surely, Mister Min knows the saying, ’Nurturing a tiger invites calamity’?"
Min Xin still found it hard to believe. Hong Fu was someone he had carefully selected and who had always been under his control.
He turned to Wang Yuan. "Bring her here."
Wang Yuan immediately made a call. After hanging up, he announced, "Miss Song Jia will be here shortly."
Min Xin turned to Gu Anxi. "I genuinely didn’t know about what happened last night. We can certainly ask her when she arrives."
He gently nudged her hand. "Can you put that thing down now?"
Gu Anxi lowered her hand and sat alone on the sofa.
She sat quietly. After about fifteen minutes, she stood up. "I’m not waiting any longer."
Min Xin furrowed his brows. "Weren’t you going to confront her? Gu Anxi, what are you playing at?"
Without sparing him a glance, Gu Anxi departed.
Min Xin shook his head. "Wang Yuan, look. This is the little terror King Jingyao spoiled. Barges in and out as she pleases, even dares to threaten me. The last person who dared treat me like this was blown sky-high long ago."
Wang Yuan chimed in soothingly, "Indeed, indeed. You’re magnanimous and don’t stoop to arguing with a child."
As they were speaking, Song Jia’s car drove in and stopped. She alighted gracefully.
Min Xin’s expression was grim. Song Jia smiled. "You sent for me?"
Wang Yuan interjected from the side, "Little Gu came storming in, furious, claiming that you, Miss Song, bombed her home."
Song Jia smiled charmingly. "And where is she now?"
"She left." Min Xin’s tone was sharp. "Were you responsible for what happened at Si Garden last night? Do you have any idea what Si Garden is? Do you think the Bo family is easy to provoke? That old fox Old Lin is the most vengeful of all..."
He continued his furious tirade, but Song Jia just frowned. "She left?"
"Yes," Wang Yuan said. "She left not long ago."
Song Jia immediately grabbed Min Xin, saying urgently, "Get out, quickly! There’s going to be a bomb!"
Wang Yuan was also stunned. "What? A bomb?"
The three of them scrambled outside. Just then, a small popping sound came from the sofa. They ran even faster, all the way into the courtyard.
The anticipated explosion never came. Wang Yuan cautiously went to investigate, only to find it was a child’s toy.
"Sigh! It must have been a prank by Little Gu." Wang Yuan gave a wry smile.
Min Xin was also exasperated. Just as he was about to speak to Song Jia, a look of agony suddenly contorted her face.
Both her arms had been shot, blood gushing from the wounds.
Min Xin watched, then said calmly, "Is this another one of Gu Anxi’s tricks?"
