By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 68: A positive rivalry
Rocky sat with one leg crossed over the other while observing the surroundings. Besides him, a couple of elves were sitting on the branches of an ancient tree, but they didn’t stay calm like Rocky.
They gazed into the distance while sweat rolled down their faces. Their eyes stayed focused as they prepared their longbows.
(The hordes of monsters are coming.)
But this time, the number of monsters had reached the point where even Rocky himself flinched for a moment.
At some point, Rocky stood up while glancing at Bobby, checking Bobby’s mood out of habit.
Ever since coming to this world, Rocky barely had any desire to fight, so his progress in leveling up had been very slow. Therefore, Rocky hoped this time would be different.

—
For a moment, the corner of his lips slightly rose.
(Guess the Holy Plant gives him huge motivation.)
Finally, Bobby was in the mood to fight. But in order to jump straight to a higher level, Bobby needed to kill the leader of the horde of monsters.
Which meant his job was not only fighting common monsters, but also finding their leader. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"It’s not easy."
Rocky triggered his skill. Jet-black armor quickly materialized over his body. The next second, he summoned a longbow.
Rocky glanced at an elf, Tyrone, the leader of the archer unit, and gave him a gesturing nod.
Tyrone nodded slightly and commanded the others to prepare their shooting stance.
"Get ready!"
Pretty soon, from far away, signs of stirring in the forest began to appear. Hundreds of monsters lunged out from the bushes. Their figures swiftly emerged from the darkness of the mist.
The hissing sound rang out across the forest, announcing that a bloody battle was about to happen.
Rocky smirked, his eyes gleaming maniacally as he pulled his bowstring.
"Die!"
In an instant, a white light flashed through the air, flying toward the monsters at sonic speed. The arrow spinned itself forward before piercing through a Greedy Velociraptor’s head — the aftershock even made it tumble ungracefully several times before collapsing and dying.

As if receiving the signal, Tyrone roared as he released his arrow.
"FIRE!"
In an instant, hundreds upon hundreds of arrows whistled through the air, mercilessly landing upon the monsters.
The first row of the horde collapsed after getting pierced by countless arrows. But the first row was quickly replaced by the row behind.
The hordes of monsters gleamed crazily as they rushed forward, ignoring the arrows as if they were nothing but invisible things—they stomped over each other, only getting closer to the target.
Even lines of sharpened stakes were unable to stop them, but they had completed their mission, at least. The lines of sharpened stakes had already slowed and split the monsters’ forces, making it much easier for the beast tamers to kill them.
As time went by, the gap amongst them gradually narrowed.

Rocky frowned at the crazed monsters, not caring about their own lives, only trying to approach them. He nodded to Bobby.
Bobby dismissed his longbow and jumped off the branch of the ancient tree. He summoned an odachi and shouldered it.
His eyes flashed with killing intent through the helmet slits as he waited for the monsters to reach their makeshift wooden fortress.
Behind him, many beasts, tamers, and others skilled in melee followed.
They were ready to massacre these monsters.
Pretty soon, the hordes of monsters came with widened maws, revealing hundreds of jagged teeth and sharp talons. They rushed at them like a godlike sea wave crashing upon a tiny island.
But they didn’t know that behind that tiny island stood a god of death waiting for them.
Bobby swung his odachi and slashed a velociraptor in half, then gracefully pivoted on his heel, leaving behind a deadly, terrifying pose like a lawn mower cutting through grass.
With every movement he made, a dozen monsters died brutally. His odachi’s shining blade flashed in the air, blinking in and out, turning the battlefield into a sea of blood.
Meanwhile, Rocky kept his concentration nonstop, releasing a series of arrows toward the monsters.
His job was to prevent any monster from attacking Bobby from a blind corner and support Bobby in slaughtering the monsters efficiently.

The absolute cooperation between Bobby and Rocky made everybody bewildered and stunned.
None of them could find a proper compliment for them at this moment—only one sentence came to mind: the destructive duo.
They wondered how compatible they were to reach such nearly perfect cooperation.
70%?... No... 100%.
Indeed, in the beast world, it was rare to find a beast with 100% compatibility with its tamer. However, if a tamer could find such a beast by luck, they would gain a huge advantage—being on the same wavelength, achieving perfect cooperation as if they could read each other’s thoughts.
"Damn it! I can’t fall behind a human and a beast from the back zone!" a dwarf yelled, burning with a fighting spirit. His beast—an earth golem—shared the same feeling.
They couldn’t let their pride fall just by watching Bobby’s excellent performance.
Plenty of beasts rushed into the wave of monsters, their eyes burning with intense will—the adrenaline surging through their veins, screaming for battle.
Obviously, Bobby and Rocky had already affected their motivation and thoughts a lot.
A positive rivalry.
