By Seeing Beasts' Training Paths, My Beast Became Invincible-Chapter 61: Ambush
Rocky walked in the last row of the team while carefully observing the surroundings. After all, they were in the valleys, which were supposed to be the territory of that mysterious being.
Everyone kept calm, ready to fight at any moment.
At some point, hissing sounds rang out from the bushes in the forest. The sound of footsteps soon followed, stirring in the deep woods.
Some people began to notice something strange and alerted everyone.
"Careful now, guys... My beast smells something dangerous nearby," a male elf said while glancing around.
"I know. It’s hard to see through the thick bushes, though," a dwarf said in discomfort.
The green of the plants already concealed the monsters. It seemed they either had a high ability to camouflage or moved so fast that none of them could catch sight of the enemy.
Rocky drew his longsword while frowning uneasily. He didn’t expect they would be fighting monsters already, when they hadn’t even reached the deepest the valley. Meanwhile, just a few days ago, he had entered the valleys with Bobby without running into trouble like this.
It looked like the monsters had already been waiting for them for a long time.
Moreover, they were surrounded by dozens of tall trees, which meant they were in a bad situation. Everyone’s beasts might not be able to fight properly if the monsters attacked now. Things would be even worse if this terrain was the monsters’ courtyard.
No, this forest must belong to the monsters.
Soon, the deafening screechs echoed through the forest, causing all the small creatures to flee.
Rocky blinked lazily while glancing at the tiny insects, others fleeing in every direction.
And, the next moment, a velociraptor burst toward Rocky from the nearby bushes. It opened its long maw, rows of sharp teeth bared as it lunged at its enemy.
(I’m the weakest one?)
Rocky shrugged in indifference, as if amused by the monster’s choice. Bobby jumped off Rocky’s right shoulder, turning into a gigantic form. Light flashed through the air as a gauntlet materialized over Bobby’s hand.
Soon, Bobby lunged forward and shoved his gauntleted hand into the monster’s maw, choking it breathless before slamming it into the ground.
From nowhere, Rocky suddenly appeared beside the monster. His blue eyes sparked coldly before he pinned his longsword into its head and through the ground as if an executioner was staking an enemy. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Rocky clicked his tongue as he drew his longsword from the corpse. Blood soaked his weapon, dripping down.
[You have slain a Greedy Velociraptor.]
[You have received 10 points.]
Rocky frowned as he glanced at the runes ahead. He was somewhat curious about this monster, because its speed was really fast.
He triggered the appraisal skill of the system.

Rocky nodded to himself, as if something had just been explained to him.
Rocky glanced around as his fellows began fighting the other monsters. Compared to Rocky, the others were having a much harder time dealing with them. The monsters possessed two muscular legs that allowed them to run swiftly and hide in the bushes the moment they sensed danger. Some even leaped through the ancient trees and clung to them like black panthers to dodge the attacks of their enemies.
A dwarf in jet-black armor crushed a monster with his hammer while his beast stood by him on guard, yet the number of monsters was simply too much.
A monster giggled as the golem lost its guard for a moment. Taking the chance, it jumped off a branch of an ancient tree. Its maw widened, drooling viciously over its teeth — soon, the dwarf’s right hand lay within its jaws.
The monster lifted the corner of its maw maniacally before pinning its sharp talons into the dwarf’s armor. The fibers of muscle in its thighs bulged crazily as it built up strength to snatch that hand off its master — blood splattered over the bushes and plants nearby as the dwarf yelled in pure agony.
It was truly chaotic.
They had no chance to fight monsters like these. The current problem was not the power of the beast tamers, but the place itself.
The ancient trees and bushes weren’t on their side as if supporting the monsters. Moreover, the number of monsters was simply insane. At this rate, Rocky didn’t think they could survive before reaching the deepest valley.
"Everyone! Let’s form up. Whoever possesses beasts with area-of-effect elemental abilities, focus your attacks. We’ll strike them all at once!" Leon roared to everyone.
The elves, dwarves, and even humans nodded. They accepted the cooperation, regardless of the differences among their races.
With the masters standing inside, the beasts stood outside. They truly formed a proper formation. The monsters couldn’t attack them properly. There were no gaps among the tamers for them to exploit.
At some point, the beasts with elemental abilities began to release their blows nonstop.
Fire, lightning, wind, and ice struck at once. Each element was chosen carefully to counter the traits of the monsters. Thanks to that, the damage dealt to the monsters was enormous.
They could defeat the monsters...
Well, even if they realized the power of cooperation, it was already too late.
Meanwhile, Rocky just stood completely outside the formation. Not because he didn’t want to cooperate, but because it wasn’t really necessary.
Rocky and Bobby simply danced through the battle like a pair in a literal ballet.

Bobby and Rocky stood back-to-back, supporting each other like literal partners. They slaughtered monsters as though they were nothing but the weakest prey.
Their swords flashed rapidly in midair, spinning from far to near amid the chaotic, bloody battle.
The painful roars echoed, only making the performance more beautiful for them.
Bobby stomped a Greedy Velociraptor’s belly into a mess before dropping his longsword into its head. From the side, another monster seized the chance from midair, yet Bobby had already noticed it. He grabbed the monster’s throat, lifting it up while giving it a disdainful look.
Only half a second later, the monster’s head dropped as Rocky jumpped up into the midair before descending gracefully like a war god into, standing the center of the corpses they had brutally massacred.
Rocky let out a long breath and blinked for a moment. He slowly put the longsword back into its sheath and smirked as he assessed the surroundings.
There were no monsters left.
"It looks like we’re done."
