Building My Guild With A Blank Scroll-Chapter 56: Bloody Wizard-2
Chapter 56: Bloody Wizard-2
"Tav!" He could hear someone call out his name from behind. ’Kaleb? What could he want?’
"Sir!" Tav responded, pulling the reins as his mount slowed down to be at the same pace with him.
"Ral, keep firing with the archers!" He ordered, holding up his hands to signal the halt of each and every knight behind him. They were most of the rear units, about six in number and looking back they were enough for his plan— after all, he needed a small team.
"Alright Sir, Archers!! Fire!!" Ral roared and hit the reins, zooming off with the others.
’This is not good— I have a bad feeling about this. Who I’m I kidding? Its been there since I heard Master had been here.’
"Tav, do you know where we are?"
’In the territory of the Elmore Estate of course.’ He wouldn’t dare say that anyway, yet scanning around he noticed nothing odd as everywhere looked the same— the others agreeing with him. But none were comparable to the Royal Knight as he could see another path through the forest, or rather he could remember one instead. "Do we have archers with us?"
"Archer Types!" Tav called out, two knights drawing closer.
"I want arrows at that tree there and the one here." Kaleb pointed out, Tav nodding as he gave the order to the archers.
"Nock bows!"
"Bows nocked!"
"Aim and Draw!"
"Aimed! Drawn!" Each had their arrows directed at one of the trees pointed out earlier.
"Fire!"
*SWOOSH!
*SWOOSH!
The arrows continued towards the trees and upon reaching them, it went past them as if they were never there in the first place.
"Illusions?" Tav muttered.
"Good, seems someone has been moving around the territory, without permission— my permission. Bloody Witch!" He gritted his teeth in anger at his last words.
’Is this suppose to get us ahead of Master? I should do something about it then, but what?’
"Archers follow me to clear the way!" He called out, hitting the reins only to be held back by the other’s words.
"Where do you think you’re going?" Kaleb said, his words bringing them to an immediate .
"I-I—"
Unable to get the words out, he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Protect me? There’s no need, I can always protect myself more than you ever could for yourself. Watch my back and bring up the rear."
"Yes Sir."
"Charge!! Kill the enemy!" Kaleb and the archers went ahead with two other following suit.
"Kyaaa!" Hitting the riens, the rest followed straight past the illusion and unto another path, the illusion reappearing as active runes could be seen on the trees closer to the entrance.
*GALLOP- GALLOP!
*SWOOSH!
*SWOOSH!
*CLANG!
*SWOOSH!
*CLANG!
The arrrows kept on coming at Lo-an, unaware of the two parties which now could be seen closing in on both sides. Getting near him first, riding on a stallion was none other than Carl, his large frame on the horse, seemingly abusive. The knights following behind were slowly coming beside him as they went into a formation.
Soon having a straight line, the leading knight galloping at the same speed as Lo-an’s courser was.
"Huh?" The old man noticed someone from the corner of his eyes, turning to just to see a knight with a shield up on his head. "Ready!" Carl’s voice was heard loud and clear.
"Ready!!" They responded, as the knights in the formation manipulated their spiritual energies to the hand which held up the shields. Confused as he was, not noticing the other party to the otherside with also got closer on their stallions with their spears. Everything became obvious and clear when he saw the large figuer slowly raising himself up to stand on his horse.
Definitely not happening.’ Lo-an pulled the reins of his horse, bringing it to an unexpected halt, catching all of them off guard. Galloping straight past him, he turned the horse to the side as it went for a back kick at the approaching horse— that of Carl. Unexpecting such a stunt, his mount was hit right in the face, so hard it was kicked off the path with its rider toppling and crashing down hard.
"Yeeeehaw!!" The spear wielders and other knights came to a stop a distance before him. Seeing Carl knocked of his horse and now on the ground, Diz was now reconsidering his thoughts as he reexamined the situation. ƒrēenovelkiss.com
’Tav and Dan referred to him as Master, which means he’s Ral’s Master too.’
*SWOOSH!
*BANG!
*CRACK!
"It- it penetrated his barrier!" One of the knights near Diz exclaimed, snapping him out of his thoughts.
’Shouldn’t the Master be more powerful than the student?’
As if nothing had occured with an arrow sticking through the barrier around him, Lo-an positioned Rae towards the knights before him, the horse kicking back the dust at its feet with its hooves, preparing to charge.
’Bloody... wizard!" Grunting Carl, tried to reach for his sword a few inches from his hand. He felt weakened all over as the horse kick was nowhere near a normal one. After all, one was always in for surprises when facing off against a Runer.
"One more and it would be down." Ral mumbled as he drew the string with the arrow in position. He could now be seen with the other archers a distance away, blocking off any chances of retreat which seemed unlikely. Ral stood upstraight on his mount, one foot on the saddle and the other well place near its neck. His aim was straight and on target, his muscles filled with energy and eyes burning with aura— he released it.
*SWOOOOSH!
Like a bullet, it went towards Lo-an the air around it swirling and raising the dust of the ground as it cut through it. Upon nearing the barrier, the other stuck in it suddenly fell, with the incoming one going past the barrier as if it was never there. Just then, Ral’s eyes widened in shock soon regaining his posture and taking up another arrow from his quiver.
’He caught it?’ Carl could see it, the figure mouted on the horse above him held the arrow in his left hand. The others also baffled, their attention shifted from him to the forest when the sounds rustling leaves, snapping twigs and a galloping horses were heard incoming. However, concentrated on getting his arrow piercing through the enemy’s skull, a voice suddenly called out from within the forest.
"Ral, stop!!"
"Tav?" Popping out onto the path, blood all over his body with arrows sticking in him, Tav could be seen.
Jumping off the stallion, he landed on the ground knee first, lifting his helmet off, he fell on his face towards the fogu a distance away. "This Bastard greets the Master! Forgive this unworthy one for not acting up earlier!"
"Master?" Ral mumbled, his eyes glued on the figure he was about firing at. His appearance matching one he knew now that he’d gotten a better look at him. ’Master Lo-an?’
*GALLOP-GALLOP!
"Kyaaaa! Die traitor!!"
