Building An Empire Starting From The Labor Camp In Exile-Chapter 321: Forbidden ways
Jin laughed. "Don’t you understand? You can’t get close to me!"
As if in signal, Elder Youn prostrated flatly on the ground.
The wind whipped around Jin as if he was wearing a cloak of storm, white lines appeared around him, and then he whirled with his sword.
Atrox’s eyes widened and he shouted at Tiber. "Get down!"
The lines whirled with Jin, up and down, sideways.
A long sword slash made of ripping energy trailed after the lines that had grown thicker.
One hit Takoda and he tried to hook it with his claws, but the lines seemed to get a mind of their own and slipped beneath. He threw himself sideways in time and the line punched through his shoulder instead of his heart.
For Eryndor, the lines simply slammed into him like a snake and he was thrown backwards. The limb he used to dodge the attack had been cut up but he quickly regrew another one.
Jin smirked and turned to Atrox. "I’ve changed my mind, I’m going to kill you slowly. That seems like a better deal than just killing you in one go."
Atrox blinked and sat up on the ground. He looked at Jin curiously. "I’ve always wondered. How were you able to use this technique? Even when your student used it, I wasn’t able to detect how she was able to do it."
Jin shrugged. "Light. It can only work for those with the Elemental Mark Order or the Holy Order. Each line is the sword itself. Small or big. All the lines you saw are the sword. I will not be going deep into the complications."
"Ah... shit," Atrox said. He had been thinking if there would be a way to learn it, but it seemed he would have to content himself with what he had.
He clapped his hands. "Alright. I’ve gotten tired of this. It was fun, you were able to take my mind away from my problems for a while, but now it’s gotten stale. Tiber, help them kill him."
Jin looked at Atrox as if he had lost his mind and then his gaze shifted to Tiber, who was even far weaker than Atrox. "What the..."
But suddenly Tiber touched his sword and his aura swelled to great proportions.
Already, since he got to the Errant Rank, he had been able to affect Master Knights with his nightmare essence. He could pull them into a sleep and keep them there for the duration of two seconds.
But when combined with his sword, he could affect Master Knights for seven seconds and even, depending on the right conditions and the type of Master Knight, he could extend it to ten seconds or more.
Tiber’s eyes darkened and the room seemed to grow darker as well, empty space seemed to twist slightly as his nightmare essence came into play, as if flitting illusions were playing.
Jin frowned. "You are doing something. This essence seems familiar, is this an illusion essence? Your tricks won’t work... ooo... oo!!"
Jin suddenly faltered, his eyes dropped, and his whole body sagged downward. One of his blades fell from his hand and clanged loudly on the ground.
"Jin? Jin!" Elder Youn shouted in panic. He leaped to his feet and began to hurry towards him.
Atrox shouted. "Don’t kill the Elder!"
Everything seemed to slow down. Jin’s eyes flickered wildly as he fought to leave his dream place and get back to the world, but what held him down was stronger than expected.
Takoda slowed down and nodded to Eryndor. "You do the honors."
Bladed limbs took him to Jin’s side with ease and Eryndor sneered. "You are indeed a Saint for fighting two Master Knights together at once."
Two of his blades came down without hesitation and Elder Youn screamed as the man he had cultivated with everything he had in secret got his head chopped off.
Blood flew into the air and Jin’s eyes still twitched like a person having a nightmare. The head rolled on the ground with a fleshy thud before it stopped.
Silence returned to the room. Elder Youn stared in horror. Jin was not just his investment and secret weapon. He was his hope. A son he never had.
He turned his empty, angry eyes to Atrox. "You..."
"Oh, don’t you try to put any blame on me. I accept the blame entirely. I killed your Jin just like how you killed my commander and my army because of your greed. I still don’t understand the logic behind it.
"You want the Clan? Is that why you destroyed it? You deserve more than death, but right now I am too busy to deal with that. Tiber, arrange for him to be returned to the Capital and locked in a prison, I need information about the other Elders from him."
Things moved fast from there. The Elder was taken away and Takoda removed the stone protection he had going over the tent, while the tent itself was cleared of blood and body.
It was a distracting event but after everything was done Atrox was left back to the place he started. To think about a solution. "Even the bind Sky has been trapped behind the enemy’s lines. There is no way for them to return in time. And I do not want to waste the one-way communication. Not yet."
"My Lord... why didn’t you work with Elder Youn? That is not your style. You usually work with your enemy if they will give you the results you wanted," Tiber asked much later.
"Because it is very obvious that he is going to betray me before the war even ends. The result I want is for everything to be restored to how it was. Not to get a blade to my spine."
Atrox smiled. "And I have thought of a method that might work. I just have to put it in motion. What we need are allies that will complement our powers, right? I think I have got one."
Tiber looked at Atrox curiously. "How is that possible? There is no ally that is currently within our reach. Unless you want to use the Elders? But I do not think they have another Master Knight."
Atrox smiled. "I have been fighting for so long that I have forgotten where it all started. Am I a forbidden Knight, Tiber? I should have some forbidden ways."
