Building An Empire Starting From The Labor Camp In Exile-Chapter 309: Come back alive
Commander Petel gritted her teeth because she knew she couldn’t counter the logic, but then she let out a sigh. "As you wish, my lord."
Her problem wasn’t that she was looking down on the Bind Sky. Instead, she was looking for the highest probability of success, and she knew it lay with the Master Knight.
"Don’t worry, Commander, we will bring back news," Slya said firmly. Since she was now an Ereant Knight, her confidence had been boosted and her cocky nature was back on.
Commander Petel grimaced. "I think you should focus on returning back in one piece, Captain. What we gathered is that not many people return from stepping foot into the Akatsuki’s desert.
"From the survivors, it’s not the harsh environment that was the problem but the Akatsuki warriors. They are described as storm demons that will descend on armies. You won’t even know who you are fighting or their ranks. In the storm, a lot of power would clash, so much so that several Master Knights might be inside, completely wiping out whole armies."
Slya had heard this already, but she still nodded. This would be more than dangerous, but she was ready for it. She is Atrox’s sword, and he has pointed at where she should strike.
The rest of the meeting was Petel reporting on little things like the finances and what they needed.
Atrox handled everything as calmly as possible before he went on the inspection of the army. He checked the walls, the formation, and the state all enchanted tools are in.
That was how he spent the rest of the day, and when night came over, he called his first two subordinates over to his room after they had dinner.
From his spatial ring, he brought out a long wooden box and opened it. Inside was a sword and a war axe. Each was made of brown material that had black luster lines running within.
Atrox picked up one of the swords and gave it to Slya.
"This is the second project I gave to the Chairman. It’s a replica of the Bind weapons. But this one is 0.7, two times higher than others. The reason was that I used the most powerful material we have left in our vault. Unfortunately, it’s only able to make two swords.
"Also, the binding that I used to make it was amplified by the tower when the swords were made."
He handed the other one to Tiber. "Unlike the other Bind weapons, this one is capable of transforming your essence. Not just the lightning. Just like the tower. But it’s a bit unstable."
Slya stared at the weapon for so long, and then she broke into a smile. She dropped the weapon and flung herself at him from across the table.
Atrox dodged her, and for some time, they chased each other across the room before he finally surrendered and let her sweep him into a hug.
"Finally! I thought as a captain I wouldn’t get my own weapon, since it’s one hundred that you made, but I’m so happy, and I get the strongest one!"
Tiber chuckled as he came around. He slapped Atrox on the back. "Thank you. Although we still can’t match your strength with this, I’ll say we are close."
Atrox raised his brows. "And if I use the tower?"
"Let’s go there today, Atrox." Tiber cleared his throat.
They talked some more. Atrox showed them the different ways of using the weapons. Either they convert the essence into their type essence, but it’s going to lower the firepower and drain from their core as well.
Or they just used it in the lightning form that it came with.
After that, they all went to sleep, and in the morning, they gathered once more at the wall.
One hundred men and women climbed atop a flying ship. They wore black leather armour that was specially made by the enchanters. It’s made to complement their Bind weapons so they could handle it without complications.
Slya turned to Atrox. "I am leaving now, my lord!"
She slammed her two hands on her chest and bowed.
Atrox met her eyes. "Come back alive."
Then he watched her say her goodbye to Tiber before she turned and climbed the flying ship.
With its captain on board, the ship hummed to life and lifted into the air, blowing dust on those below. Then it angled towards the wall, and with a signal that it was cleared to move, it shot forward and in some seconds was already becoming a disappearing dot in the distance. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"She would return," Atrox said firmly and then turned. "Time to get ready for a war."

Slya was quick to shrug away the sadness that she felt when the flying ship left her familiar place behind. In all her life, she’d never been in such a dangerous situation as the one she put herself in that time.
And she knew that if she had rejected Atrox’s offer to make her a captain, then he wouldn’t have looked at her any less, but the truth was that she wanted this.
She needed it. Because she had started to feel useless just standing beside Atrox. He knew the reason he made them his personal guards was not so they could protect him.
Rather, it was so he could protect them. But Tiber still had his brains and his schemes way of thinking. She had none of that, and she had been feeling stiffened.
But when he told them it was time for advancing in ranks? The joy she felt hadn’t been normal. At least she would have the power to protect him.
Not only her own power. She gazed at the hundred knights on her ship, all of them Errant Knights. The fact that they are Errant Knights was even enough to make her position as captain one to be envious about.
But Errant Knights with the Bind weapons? The Bind Sky?
It was not something she dreamed about, but it was her dream now, and she was ready to do marvelous things with it.
