Building An Empire Starting From The Labor Camp In Exile-Chapter 305: What hasn’t been done
The city of Kazekir was once again cast into a shadow of the looming war. The citizens felt it like a brewing storm, with new orders coming from the palace that everyone should be prepared to evacuate to their closest shelter bunker within a moment’s notice.
But even with that, closer to the middle of the city, one of the biggest buildings stood as if in defiance against the elements. It was the Enchanters Association building.
And it was bustling. Since the first time it was created, the Enchanters have had a problem of having too many resources to work with and little time.
Unlike the other way around every time.
Deep in the building, underground, Atrox and the top Enchanters of the Clan had been holed up in the place for three days.
"My Lord, what about this one? It needs the binding," the Chairman said.
Atrox nodded and took the sword. He began to whisper words, and then black lines crawled from his hand into the sword, following a line of enchanted words etched into the surface of the sword.
Instead of just crafting enchanted rods, they were now creating weapons as well to suit the different needs of the Knights. Atrox had also changed the name of what they were crafting to "bind weapons" or "binding weapons."
And it was simply because he was using his power of binding on the weapons, creating an unbreakable container for holding more power than it could normally hold.
To start with, they were using the strongest and most powerful metal that their Clan had, and then Atrox was crafting an extra pocket of sorts for it.
And the "extra" pocket could actually hold ten times the amount that their strongest metal could. What they were doing was so insane that the Enchanters couldn’t help but stop now and then to shake their heads.
Simply put, it was as if they were boosting the efficiency of the binding weapons by five hundred percent. Apart from that, the battery that the Chairman also created got more extra bindings.
Atrox finished binding the sword and gave it over. The Chairman then went over and dropped it into an enchanted tool that was shaped like a table with numerous words written on it.
The table was then connected to a tube filled with lots of essence stones. The essence from the stones was getting drained into the newly crafted sword, and as they watched, half of the tank went into the sword without showing any signs of stopping.
More went into it before it was filled up.
Eryndor, who knew about his job, sighed and picked up the sword. Then he went to a cut-off compartment that was made of a transparent shield.
He lifted the sword and spoke a few words. The sword suddenly roared to life, flickering with hot white light before it cooled into a steady white light.
Eryndor did some experimental swings and nodded his head before he spoke some more words, and the sword went dead.
He came back from the compartment and shook his head as he gave his report. "It’s not that bad. Only an Errant Rank 0.1."
The bind weapons are given ranks of how powerful they can be, and so far the strongest are the Errant Rank 0.5. That’s a rank that Atrox has decided to make everything. The real deal.
Atrox narrowed his eyes. "Then it’s a flop. Bring another sword forward and let’s go at it again."
The Chairman hesitated. "My Lord, maybe we should slow down. Even for you, aren’t you using a lot of resources? The essence stones we have consumed in three days..."
Atrox snorted. "If we lose this war, then what’s essence stones? Everything will be taken. I care less about the resources. It’s something that can be regained. Besides, the Soryu Clan has been locked down for decades. We do have a lot of resources. Don’t worry. Continue!"
And they did. By the time five days rolled around, they’d gotten a little better and now had bind weapons of twenty that fit Atrox’s satisfaction.
The "failed" bind weapons were still given out to the Sky Army Division.
After a week of work, they’d gotten thirty. Atrox left the day-to-day running of the Clan to the administration and focused on his own crafting. He only attended to the most important things.
After three weeks, they’d used up the precious metal that was saved up for the bind weapons, and not even Atrox would dare touch the reserve remaining in the Clan’s vault.
But he was satisfied with his result. He’d crafted a total of one hundred binding weapons. Each weapon consumed a tank of essence stones to make, and with a battery capacity to drain a tank’s worth of essence in one go, Atrox had created a monster like his Tower.
In fact, the main difference was that his Tower wasn’t that dependent on essence stones and could take essence from the environment without issues. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
And Atrox’s Tower was just undeniably more powerful because it could amplify any of his powers. But the weapons could only pull out lightning attacks.
Atrox’s long black hair was in disarray. His eyes twitched as he watched the Chairman walk closer to him. He was the only one who looked like a walking zombie among all the Enchanters.
After all, he was the only one that worked with his actual power without stopping. But when he gazed at the weapons displayed in front of him, one hundred of them, he couldn’t help the chuckle. "Impressive."
The Chairman sucked the weapons into a spatial ring and gazed at it solemnly. "Clan Leader Atrox, you need to rest. You’ve been working without rest for three weeks."
Atrox rolled his eyes, but his eyes looked a little dry. What made him work so hard for so long was his high essence. It made it possible for him to just keep going without stopping.
"Well, now that it’s done I can finally eat, yes? Don’t worry about me. What about that side project I asked you to make for me?"
"It’s done, my Lord," the Chairman said.
