Chapter 33:His Bride, His Muse

Zaiyila’s eyes widened. She sniffled and wiped her tears away. "You’re not holding a grudge in your heart, are you?" she asked in a choked voice.

Everett frowned. "I dare not," he replied.

Zaiyila smiled beautifully. "I know you love me." She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.

"My Queen, let me see the dress you bought," Everett commented.

Zaiyila immediately picked up her package, untied it, and brought out the dress. "Here. How is it? Beautiful?" she asked eagerly.

Everett’s eyes widened in surprise. "Very beautiful," he responded, flashing her a sweet smile. "She got the dress... how will she react if she finds out they didn’t collect a dime?" he thought, almost rubbing his forehead. "But they really dare make her worry!" His eyes flashed with murderous intent.

"Let me try it on for you to see," Zaiyila offered, beginning to undress, but Everett stopped her.

"How about you try it tomorrow? It’s getting dark, and you haven’t had dinner yet," he suggested. He took the dress from her, tossed it on the chair, and carried her horizontally toward the dining room.

Zaiyila chuckled, gazing at him with a lovestruck expression.

The Next Day

Zaiyila woke up and stretched. She tried to open her eyes, only to realize she was blindfolded. Before she could panic, familiar lips met hers, and she welcomed him warmly.

"Good morning, My Queen," Everett’s voice echoed.

Zaiyila smiled. "Good morning. I... I’m blindfolded... did you do this?" she inquired.

Everett chuckled and gave her a soft kiss. "That’s right. I have a surprise for my queen, so I’m going to bathe you and dress you up. Is that okay?" he asked gently.

Zaiyila nodded with a sweet smile on her beautiful face. Everett then carried her to the bathroom.

After a short while, he finished bathing and dressing her. He sat her in front of the dressing mirror and gently began styling her hair.

Even though Zaiyila was still blindfolded, she could sense Everett’s movements. Now that he was styling her hair, a deep feeling of familiarity rose within her heart.

"You’re doing my hair... it feels like you’ve done something like this to me before," Zaiyila murmured.

Everett chuckled and leaned down, breathing softly against her neck, making her face flush.

"Maybe my Queen has been thinking about me all this while and has always wanted to be my bride—that’s why she’s imagining so much about me," he whispered and kissed her neck.

A wave of electricity ran through Zaiyila’s body, and her face flushed even deeper. "I even have a kind of uncultured dreams," she thought.

Everett chuckled and continued styling her hair. "If my Queen wishes, I can take on the job of styling your hair... though I must warn you, I’m quite expensive," he teased.

Zaiyila blushed and lowered her head slightly. "I... I can afford the price," she whispered shyly.

"Of course, I know my Queen can afford it. And I’ll be very happy to accept the job," he concluded, finishing her hair and admiring her reflection in the mirror.

Zaiyila played with her nails, still blushing.

Everett extended his palm, and a scarlet, beautiful, bloody necklace appeared. He gently placed it around her neck.

He bit his finger, allowing a drop of blood to fall onto the necklace.

The necklace glowed brightly in response before calming down, and Everett smiled with satisfaction.

Zaiyila felt something cold around her neck and touched it. "You bought me a necklace?" she asked, caressing it gently.

Everett simply hummed in response and slowly untied the blindfold, allowing Zaiyila to see her reflection in the mirror.

Her eyes widened. She now looked like a true queen. She was wearing the dress she bought the day before, her hair styled in a messy bun with two strands left to frame her face. She wore no makeup, but her beauty alone was overwhelming. Dressed regally, she radiated the aura of royalty.

"It’s... it’s beautiful!" she exclaimed, turning to smile at Everett.

Everett returned the smile and picked up the drop earrings on the table. With calm precision, he put them on her, making her look even more breathtaking.

"I’m pretty, Eve!" Zaiyila almost jumped from the chair in excitement, gazing at Everett with twinkling eyes.

Everett nodded, unable to resist kissing her. "My Queen is the most beautiful woman on earth," he praised, kissing her cheek.

Zaiyila blushed and chuckled, lowering her head shyly. "Thank you," she murmured.

Everett laughed. "She’s such a seductive little devil when she’s shy," he thought, barely restraining himself.

"Alright, my Queen. I’ll blindfold you again. That wasn’t the real surprise," he added.

Zaiyila looked surprised but nodded quickly, allowing him to blindfold her once more. After that, he carried her in his arms, and they both vanished.

The moment they disappeared, Quinn entered the room.

"Ah! This devil didn’t allow me to have time with my master. This is unfair!" she cried and flew off immediately.

---

Zaiyila and Everett reappeared in another room, but it wasn’t quiet. The sound of music echoed from downstairs or somewhere nearby, and Zaiyila was both surprised and nervous.

"Calm down, My Queen. I’m here," Everett whispered in her ear and gently led her outside.

Downstairs was filled with people of various statuses—nobles and big shots. As soon as the sound of heels was heard, the entire place fell into abnormal silence, and all attention shifted to the stairs.

"Eve," Zaiyila whispered, noticing the music had stopped and the silence was overwhelming. "Is... is my presence disturbing others?"

Though she spoke in a whisper, her voice rang loud and clear, sending chills down the spines of everyone present.

"Nope. Since you’re descending, they must maintain peace. Isn’t that good?" Everett replied calmly.

"Oh..." Zaiyila nodded and continued letting him lead her until they reached the bottom.

"My Queen... I hope it’s to your liking," Everett murmured and slowly removed the blindfold.

Zaiyila blinked twice to clear her vision, then looked around the unfamiliar space, which was filled with people. "This..." she trailed off in confusion—until her gaze fell upon a grand, rolling cake with her name carved into it.
