Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game-Chapter 490 - 268 How was I last night?
"What’s wrong? Who offended our President Hallow? Did you take gunpowder?" Charlotte Miller hadn’t drunk much, but her tolerance was quite poor. She was sober, yet her speech was almost slurred.
Charlotte didn’t realize that the way she spoke, sounding so innocent and charming, made Atlas Hallow feel a mix of fiery emotions.
On one hand, he was angry at her for daring to drink in front of other men, showing such an enticing demeanor; on the other hand, her seductive appearance was making his heart itch uncontrollably.
"You don’t know who’s offended me?" Atlas’ voice sounded sour and bitter, and his serious expression made Charlotte burst into giggles.
"What’s so funny? Do you think I’m funny like this?" Atlas looked at Charlotte curled up in the passenger seat, her small face reddened as she laughed, looking at him as if he were something strange.
"Isn’t it funny? I finished my meal nicely and wanted to go back, and you rushed over without a word and took me away. What do you want?" Charlotte truly couldn’t understand why he was always so angry.
She wasn’t his wife, something Atlas Hallow still seemed unclear about, and even if she were his wife, what right did he have to stop her from having dinner with business partners?
Did he still want to impose those sexist rules of obedience? The feudal society has long been overthrown.
"It’s not funny at all. Why are you meeting with Gael Hallow?" Atlas’ voice was angry, as he’d already told her not to get too close to Gael, but she completely ignored his advice and even went further by having dinner and drinks with Gael. What was this?
"I have serious business to discuss with him." Charlotte couldn’t help but laugh, not knowing if it was the alcohol or Atlas’ expression that was so amusing. In any case, she half-closed her starry eyes, biting her lip to avoid seeming too arrogant to Atlas.
"Sell me your shares." Atlas instantly saw through Charlotte’s little scheme. She wanted to sell her shares to Gael, so she didn’t hesitate to use her charms; her black clothes and red lips were indeed irresistible to men.
"Thank you, President Hallow, but I’ve already agreed to transfer them to Gael. We’ll sign the agreement tomorrow." Charlotte leaned over, looking at Atlas’ sharp eyes filled with bitter anger.
"I’ve found a buyer to solve my troubles, yet you still have the nerve to give me attitude?" Her high heels swayed, the sight of her pale skin making his eyes bloodshot with anger.
"So? You dress like this?" The loosened black blouse clung softly, with two buttons undone, her creamy skin stinging his eyes painfully.
"What’s wrong with this? It’s not like I’m undressed. Next time I meet him for swimming, see if I wear a bikini," Charlotte said fearlessly, finding it quite amusing to stir up the soon-to-explode man.
Atlas endured silently, saying nothing as he drove, taking her straight to the hotel.
"I need to go back to see Mia." Charlotte noticed something was wrong, seeing Atlas’ dark face, feeling it might be dangerous, so she quickly brought out reinforcements.
"Afraid now?" Atlas didn’t even bother acknowledging what she was saying, still dragging her hand towards the hotel elevator.
"Atlas, I don’t want to..." Charlotte could somewhat guess what he was planning, but in this situation, any relationship would feel awkward.
"I do." Atlas dragged Charlotte into the elevator. As it went up floor by floor, Charlotte found her heart pounding uncontrollably, her legs seemingly weak, unable to run even if she wanted to.
Her heart raced, almost about to leap out of her throat.
The heavy door was pushed open, then kicked shut by him. The sound of the door closing made her shiver all over, seeing Atlas looming like a beast, as if truly not intending to let her go today.
The door was behind her; she wanted to open it but was held back by Atlas’ hand: "Aren’t you game for fire? How about playing bigger?"
"No way, I’m just doing you a favor venting." Charlotte cursed herself for being weak, trying to think of a way to escape.
"Then I really should thank you properly. So how about the sofa or the bed? If you don’t mind the sink being a bit hard, I think that works too..." The light in Atlas’ eyes seemed to penetrate her body, pressing forward step by step.
"Or maybe you like standing; the door panel isn’t soft either. If you can handle it, great." Atlas threw off his jacket onto the carpet, then loosened his tie, and then his shirt, slender fingers unbuttoning one by one, revealing a solid frame.
Today she really had riled him up. Didn’t she know that even if a man remained polite, what he ultimately wanted with her was always the same thing?
The torn black shirt, buttons popping off onto the carpet without a sound, her breaths magnified infinitely. When slate-white skin was exposed to the air, it seemed to tremble slightly.
As she was still startled by Atlas’ actions, his towering body loomed, hot breaths spreading over her...
The tireless night entwined them, letting her tremble beneath him with the most alluring shyness.
When Charlotte woke, the sky was already bright. Her whole body felt weak as she pulled the quilt and stepped out of bed, picking up her phone from the carpet, checking the time. Still time, fortunately.
"Annie, send an outfit to Parker Manor." Atlas couldn’t have stayed at Parker Manor before; he had probably just picked whichever hotel was closest. Like a lustful ghost, he had barely stopped short of devouring her.
After the call with Annie, Charlotte set down her phone as the bathroom door opened.
Atlas walked out, a towel wrapped at his waist, his hair still dripping, drops sliding down his perfectly toned body.
Charlotte bit her lip, clutching the blanket while sitting on the sofa, looking up at Atlas with displeasure, "Can you not tear my clothes? I know you’re strong, you don’t need to prove it every time."
Atlas paused, not expecting the first words out of Charlotte’s mouth to be about him tearing her clothes.
"I’ll compensate you..." Worth more than a street, isn’t it? Seeing her sitting there, his heart nearly melted, wanting nothing more than to pin her down and relive last night’s encounter.
But really, he couldn’t; he had things to do, and so did she.
"Compensate my ass, I don’t care for that." Charlotte glared. Did she mean that? Talking with Atlas seemed to never go where she intended.
"Dinner together tonight." Atlas sat beside Charlotte, lowering his head to give her shoulder a light kiss, feeling indescribable satisfaction. After all this time, she was finally completely his.
"Atlas, don’t think just because of what happened yesterday that I’m with you." He was dreaming; she didn’t know where Atlas got his confidence from. It’s just because he’s somewhat handsome, somewhat wealthy, and somewhat skilled...
"What did I do last night?" Atlas’ fingers glided over her skin, speaking playfully.
Charlotte wrapped herself in the thin blanket and stood up, "Last night was just each getting what they want, don’t get sentimental."
"Can’t Rogers satisfy you? Or does he only like satisfying men?" Atlas stretched his long arm, pulling Charlotte onto his lap, fingertips pinching her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze with no escape.
"Shut up..." Charlotte’s expression immediately shifted to tense severity, glaring at Atlas to stop him from continuing.
"End the engagement with him, and I’ll pretend I know nothing." Atlas’ fingers gently brushed over Charlotte’s cheek, his deep, magnetic voice rising in the air.
"Not this again. Aren’t you tired? Even if you don’t appreciate him for helping me multiple times, you should consider he saved your daughter. Don’t make me look down on you, Atlas." She would never willingly end her engagement with Rogers, as basic decency and gratitude must be maintained.
"If you dare act, I promise you’ll never see Mia again." After saying this, Charlotte forcefully pulled away the hand holding her, walking into the bathroom.
This man really was beyond saving. Just when she thought he had changed so much, he immediately reverted to his old ways. It was utterly terrible.
Thinking he could manipulate others by threatening her was simply laughable...
