Chapter 322: 189 You dare to deceive me?

The room always had the heater on, but it couldn’t heat the marble floor.

The cold and hard marble floor made Charlotte Miller feel like she was caught between ice and fire, her body starting to tremble slightly. Atlas Hallow gazed at the stunning female figure before him, making him think that the woman half-lying on the floor was like a pear blossom gently trembling at the tip of a branch, a subtle fragrance wafting with the breeze. Her beauty was even more captivating than that of the pear blossoms.

Charlotte watched Atlas Hallow warily. As his large hand reached out to press down on her leg, her entire body became even more rigid, her eyes wide as she kicked her legs, trying to break free from his grip, but was tightly held in place.

"Atlas Hallow, you lunatic, what do you want to do?" In this mode of interaction between the two of them, does he still intend to do something to her?

"Lunatic, that’s because you drove me mad..." The man’s dark eyes scrutinized Charlotte’s body from top to bottom, not missing a single inch.

Even so, it’s impossible to ascertain anything. He had indeed gone mad, his eyes crimson as he stretched out his finger, slowly probing inward.

"Let go of me quickly, you lunatic, you bastard..." Charlotte was almost scared stiff. Has he gone mad?

What does he want to do?

He then released his grip on her, a cold smile leaking from the corner of his lips. His dark pupils contracted, as if the last trace of faint light inside had vanished completely, leaving only helpless blackness.

He leaned forward, his handsome face almost touching Charlotte’s, eyes locked onto hers, saying word by word, "Do not challenge my bottom line, understood?"

His words received no response from Charlotte. The beautiful little girl just stubbornly looked at him, biting her lip as if desperate to never have known him.

"What? Want to keep playing with me?" Atlas Hallow lowered his voice, the light deep within his eyes began to churn like waves.

Charlotte lowered her long eyelashes, hiding all her grief. She couldn’t afford to play, nor did she have time to play with this man.

Every minute and every second with him seemed to cruelly drain all her vibrant energy and her longing for beautiful things.

Love, a single word, wounds too deeply...

"I’ve never played, nor can I afford to." Charlotte said softly. Her honesty caught Atlas Hallow by surprise.

The sexy thin lips curved into a smile, as he reached out to pinch her chin, "Not daring to play is best. In three days, I hope to hear a satisfactory answer." Atlas Hallow leaned down and gently touched her lips, his breath spread over her lips, coldly piercing her heart, "Wrong, it’s two days." After adding this, Atlas Hallow released his grip and stood up, reaching for his tie and loosening the shirt collar, "Women are fickle, truly so. How long have we been married and you’ve already changed, but your courage is not small. You clearly know arguing with me will only be to your disadvantage, yet you still dare to do so. Should I praise your bravery, or ridicule your overestimation of yourself?"

Charlotte sat up, drawing her legs to her chest, extending her arms to embrace herself, curling into a small ball. Her clothes had just been torn off by him, and hugging herself like this was only to preserve a small shred of dignity.

She looked up at Atlas Hallow, the smile on the man’s lips now unfathomable. He said she would be at a disadvantage, but what kind of disadvantage would she suffer?

Charlotte had already prepared for everything beforehand, but preparation and the reality of events are two different things because no one could predict Atlas Hallow’s next move, what he would do to her.

Just like before in his company, Atlas Hallow never showed his emotions and, when others were completely unprepared, delivered a fatal blow, always holding the opponent’s key weakness in his hands but never showing it easily, until the most crucial moment delivered a fatal strike, one that was enough to keep a person down forever.

Charlotte spent some time by his side and understood the man’s traits, so she had long sent her Daddy and Mommy far away. What could he use to threaten her?

Facts proved everything she did back then was right, and it wasn’t judging others with suspicion.
