Breed Me, Daddy Alpha-Chapter 267
Damon
"Daren. Daren. Daren."
My twin brother. My curse since birth.
He has always been a troublemaker, even when we were children running wild through the pack grounds. I remember it as clear as if it happened yesterday.
Where I obeyed my father’s command, Daren disobeyed. Where I studied the laws of our kind, Daren broke them for fun. We were identical in face, but never in spirit.
He was chaos wrapped in charm, the boy who smirked when he should have bowed, who laughed in the face of discipline while I clenched my fists and endured it.
He was twelve at that time , but his eyes carried that same glint I see now, the look of a wolf who doesn’t fear consequence, the look of a boy who will always choose fire over order.
Father beat him bloody that night, and still Daren smiled with crimson teeth. I hated him for it, and I envied him too, because deep down I knew he enjoyed the fight in ways I never did.
The rivalry only grew worse with age. When I trained, he skipped drills to chase women, leaving me to carry the weight of our father’s expectations alone.
When I earned my scars through battles that nearly broke me, Daren earned his by provoking men stronger than him, just to taste the chaos. And when it came to women... he had no shame. He took what he wanted, no matter whose bed she belonged to.
There was a time when he seduced the daughter of a Beta I was meant to court. Did he cheat on his mate? Yes he did and she left him. He seduced the betas daughter out of spite, not love, not lust—just to watch me burn with rage.
That was Daren. Always circling what was mine. Always daring me to lose control. Always mocking the line between brotherhood and betrayal.
And now, here he stands, older but unchanged, his smirk cut from the same reckless stone as when we were boys. His eyes are locked on Lyra, my mate, my woman, the only thing in this cursed life that belongs entirely to me.
"We are not kids anymore, Daren." My voice husky with rage, the kind of rage that has been building since the day we were born.
"Yes, you have taken plenty of Alphas’ women. You have crept into their beds like a thief and you have fucked their mates until they forgot who they belonged to.
"You have always been reckless with your cock, always hunting for what is forbidden, always ruining and mocking men who should have killed you for touching what was theirs. You wore your sins like a crown because you thought being my twin made you untouchable."
I took a step closer, closing the space between us, forcing him to look directly into the eyes of the brother he has taunted his entire life.
"You have fucked them, you have broken them, and you laughed every time someone threatened to spill your blood because you thought no one would dare.
"You never cared about the wreckage you left behind, because trouble is the only thing that makes you feel alive. But you see this here." I tilted my head back toward Lyra, my voice dropping into a growl that carried through the hall. "Lyra is mine."
The word mine thundered through my chest as I pressed forward until my shadow swallowed his.
"And Daren, if you ever touch her, if you ever dare to kiss her hands, if you ever let your mouth or your eyes wander over her body again as though she were a prize for you to claim, I swear to the Goddess herself that I will not hold back.
"I will not care that you are my blood brother. I will not care that you look exactly like me. I will not care that we share the same mother, the same face, or the same name carved into our family’s history.
"I will tear you apart in front of the entire pack, and I will do it without hesitation. I will rip your heart from your chest while they watch, and I will hold it high as a warning to every wolf that dares to even imagine her as theirs."
I leaned closer, my voice rough but steady, each word a blade I wanted him to feel. "I will kill you, Daren, and I will not lose a single hour of sleep over it.
"I will grind your body into the dirt of this house, and when they bury you, they will bury you with the memory that you died for underestimating me.
"Blood means nothing to me when it comes to her. She is mine in every way the Goddess has decreed. She is mine in body, mine in soul, mine in spirit, mine in heat, mine in every breath she takes. Her scent belongs to me, her skin belongs to me, her womb belongs to me, her future belongs to me. If you test me, you will not just lose a brother—you will lose your life. Do you understand me?"
Daren smirked as he titled his head, "Brother, look deep into my eyes. I am not afraid of you, Damon. Not one bit. You can growl and snarl and throw your threats like stones, but they do not touch me. If I want her, your woman, I will have her. Oh, I will"
"When I decide to take her, there will not be a damn thing you can do to stop me. We may look the same, but our charms are not the same. You are all sharp edges and violence.
"You claim with force, with teeth, with blood. I do not need to. I will take her with a smile, with a whisper, with a touch that will make her body betray you. The way I will put my hands on her will be different. The way I will make her moan my name will be different.
