Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 221: Even more Invaders
Jimmy was pissed off! He was worried, of course, but he was also quite angry over the fact of how organized the enemy seemed. It made him feel like a chump.
His people, his closest friends, guaranteed him that they killed every single one of the three-hundred or so people that attacked the grasslands the last time, including the Field Runners, which in this case would be the greatest source of information that the enemy could use.
The treacherous Field Runners would need to survive the battle, and run back to the west hills to tell the Chiefs of how the battle turned out. This would make sense if his people hadn’t killed every single one of the Field Runners, but now, he began to think that his people were not as attentive as he had hoped them to be.
From the looks of it, at least one Field Runner had survived, and delivered the fantastic news to the west fields! The news being that Jimmy had been killed.
Jimmy still had an advantage over the enemy by simply being alive, or cloned back to life, but he was still pissed. He had expected the second wave of enemies to be greater, yes, but he didn’t expect them to attack this early!
"Either they’re smarter than I thought, or they’re dumb enough to send wave after wave." He said, "What’s the point? What fucking goal are they trying to achieve? At this rate, the west hills will run out of people before winter, all for a few extra chunks of meat, and some flat lands! In what sense does this war turn out well for them?"
"I’ve been to the west hills before," Luna said, "It’s an awful place, really. No trees, tons of rocks, and a big river passing through it. My guess is that they want the grasslands because of the comfort it offers, and all the resources too. If they can cut some trees down, they can set up a great home base close to the forest. My father used to speak of the plans that our elders had in the past. If they didn’t find our cavern, they would’ve lived close to the forest instead."
"You may have a point there," He nodded, "But they won’t have any people left over to use those resources. You know we’re gonna have to kill them all, right?"
"I guess," She said, "Men can be stupid, but remember, our people have barely visited the west hills for many summers. There used to be three tribes that I knew of there, but there could be thirty of them now, maybe more? I don’t think they’re going to run out of people anytime soon." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Well, that’s perfect," He sighed, frustrated. "God... I need time to think. Get us home as fast as you can, because we’re gonna need a hell of a battle plan if we’re going to survive the next few days."
The QT they were riding picked up its speed. Jimmy was getting more paranoid by the second, so he planned to have Luna fly in front of the mountainside for a few minutes, once they got close to home, of course, just so he could make sure that there weren’t any other enemy brigades making their way through there.
’I hope to God no one’s close to our home,’ He thought, ’We’re not prepared to fight tonight. We’ll be fucked!’
At this point, Jimmy even considered stuffing his people in the bunker back at home. Odds were, the enemy could not find the bunker even if they tried, and if he somehow managed to fill the holes he punched through the bunker door, his people would be safe for several days at least, which would give him more than enough time to clone a Compy army, but this plan came with complications.
He would have to figure out where to stash all the pet dinosaurs, for one thing, which was a whole task on its own, as he had to lead them somewhere safe. In the forest, most likely, and so the tribe would have to abandon their pets for days.
Not to mention, Anna and Gaark weren’t back from the salt hunt yet, so they’d fly down here at some point, fully unaware of what was going on! They could get pounced on by the enemy unless he took great measures to prevent that from happening.
Fleeing and hiding was an option that required a lot of prep time, which was ironic, so he was really hoping that there weren’t any enemies anywhere close to his doorstep right now.
Anyway, as they flew across the grasslands, Jimmy got a slap on his face once more, as he spotted another ’smudge’ close to the forest. This smudge featured an army of at least three-hundred men, which was shocking, as they were less than one-hundred kilometers, or roughly sixty-two miles away from Jimmy’s home cavern, so likewise, he could not understand how the enemy managed to get so close already!
"What the fuck is going on!" He yelled out, "Either the enemy has been planning this fucking attack for months, or those archers we took in betrayed us! My God... we’re doomed, Luna, we’re doomed..."
"The archers are good people," She said, "I talk to them almost every day. They spend a lot of their time helping our elders, and the kids, feeding them and such. They may be many things, mostly good things, but they’re not traitors, Jimmy."
"You shouldn’t vouch for people you’ve only known for a few moons," He said, "We don’t know them well enough to trust them."
"Maybe," She nodded, "How about we ask them if they know anything about this?"
"We’ll sure as hell ask them," He said, "They better not give me a reason to kill them."
Their mood was beyond spoiled, and rightfully so, but he tried to remain focused. Once they got close to the rocky mountains, he had Luna fly across the mountainside for about ten minutes, so they could scan if there were any brigades of enemies close by, close to anywhere around where the wall of hills of the mountainside ended, and the grasslands began.
Jimmy found some relief when he saw, and made sure that there weren’t any enemies this uncomfortably close to their home. He was happy that at least one thing was going his way.
