Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride-Chapter 425: The Rainy City of Londis
Chapter 425: The Rainy City of Londis
Londis City, a once beautiful place envied by many for its multiculturalism and a symbol of humanity’s ability to band together, regardless of colour or creed.
Now, a decadent wasteland. Poisoned by overmigration and poor policing, which led to the natives fleeing the city as it fell into disrepair. The crime rates rose, sexual crime has increased dramatically, and the government became too weak to do anything.
However, this rot lay hidden in the darkness.
In the hidden alleyways, under the guise of barbershops and phone stalls.
"Phew... so this is Londis?"
The airport wasn’t dirty but lacked the same sheen as S-City, and the armed guards paced around with machine guns.
"Nnn~ my jaw feels sore." Anya complained, flicking her hips to the side, hitting Nikolai, who grabbed her hips and lifted her off the ground. "Kya!?"
"Hah... you reap what you sow."
He ignored her cries while pulling Leona closer. She seemed nervous as they stepped through the gates, which led them into the terminal.
It’s so damn busy...
Nikolai watched the humans rushing to save a few seconds, while he took it easy beside Leona, with Anya chasing after him with several people in the way. "Did you enjoy the flight, Leo?"
"Mm... It was special, I’ll never forget it..." Leona’s cheeks became red, her orange hair tied up in a neat bun. "My insides are still throbbing." After their dense carnal affair, she became more adept at making flirtatious remarks, leaning closer while hooking his arm with hers.
"I’m just glad we didn’t get caught or cause issues."
"Master, if that happened... I’d take full responsibility and kill you before taking my own life!"
"Haha."
Londis wasn’t perfect, but Nikolai didn’t mind the sour scent because it was new. He arranged to stay in his father’s apartment, but Ryan would also fly out and meet him in two days with his sister.
When I told Ryan my plan, he sounded disappointed.
Until Nikolai offered to take him and paid for two tickets.
Bump!
A sudden jolt of danger shot through Nikolai’s spine as he turned around.
While lost in thought, someone bumped into Nikolai, her hair silky black and face partially hidden, but he felt a sense of deja vu the moment she passed, "forgive me, I am in a hurry." The tall woman didn’t stop after her apology, and instead vanished into the crowd, yet Nikolai’s eyes narrowed on her figure.
She feels familiar...
He observed her muscular figure, with the tight curve of her waist and wide hips, indicating that she was likely a warrior or fighter.
"What’s the matter, master?"
"L-Leona... didn’t you feel the dangerous atmosphere just now?"
The cute maid looked around, then shrugged, seeming unsure what he meant, but he couldn’t help but think something strange had just happened. The woman’s touch felt cold and dangerous like a black widow...
"Let’s go, Leo..."
"Mm!"
Although he wanted to give chase and find out who the strange woman was, he had to focus on his current task at hand. The trio moved from the airport onto the city streets, where a car waited to pick them up to take them to the apartment.
"Sir Volkov?" The gruff male with a Londis accent asked.
"That’s me."
The back door of the cab popped open, revealing a larger interior than expected.
"Please, enter."
Nikolai smiled at Leona and Anya and let them get in first, but before he could slip inside, his phone rang. The foreign number meant it was a call from home.
"Hello?" He tapped the screen as he slipped into the car.
"Baby~ did you land?" Nikita’s voice sounded soft and a little weak. "I couldn’t help but call, sorry."
"No it’s fine, I missed you too." He couldn’t help but smile at the sound of her feet kicking something, "Are you alright, nothing happened right?"
"Mmm... just missing you, hehe."
"I’ll make sure to call and message you often okay? Once we get settled in our new place, I will call." Nikolai smiled as he glanced out the window. The midafternoon sun meant that the time in S-City was close to midnight, maybe ten o’clock, as he wasn’t sure how long the total difference was.
"Well... I got to hear your voice, so I’ll go... okay? I’ll be waiting~" Nikita’s soft breathing made his chest ache for a moment; he wanted to turn around and go back home, but knew this was something necessary for him, especially with the world-changing outside.
"I want to kiss you."
His words caused the two women to jump.
The two women looked at him, then, with a breath, turned away. Anya pouted while Leona’s lips shifted into a proud smile.
"Nn~ remember, don’t sleep with any dirty women!"
"Haha, of course. Send my love to everyone waiting... I can hear them breathing."
With one last warning and an audible kiss, Nikita put down the phone.
When he turned back, he noticed the driver looking at him through the mirror with raised eyebrows.
His eyes met Nikolai’s as they drove on before the man asked in his gruff Londis accent, "So... what are you going to Londis City for?"
"A bit of pleasure."
Nikolai reached out and slipped his hands on both women’s thighs, then smiled back at the driver. He didn’t want to give anything away, and the question felt a little rude.
If I didn’t read about this place in advance, I might have taken offence at his prying.
The driver nodded with half-lidded eyes. "Understood, I’ll take you straight to your address, sir. With how things are now, I would avoid letting such pretty ladies go out alone at night, those no gooders won’t leave them alone." The man turned away and continued to drive towards a tall apartment complex. "You know... those monsters have taken over everything!"
He sounded upset and annoyed, the conversation flowing out of his lips like a river of information.
However, the real monsters sat behind him in the seats, which amused Nikolai greatly. A few people from other nations wouldn’t cause him trouble—humans were like cattle to him now.
If they step out of line, I slaughter them.
"Master..." Leona gripped his thigh and leaned closer. He noticed her worried expression and reached out, stroking her cheek.
"Don’t worry, it’s not what you think."
"Mm."
Leona nodded, and after twenty minutes, they reached their destination: A thirty-floor apartment complex in the middle of the city, with bars on every floor and a large gym inside. His father owned the entire building, something that surprised Nikolai as he leaned against the cab, helping the women out.
"Wow, it reminds me of home..." Leona mumbled as she slipped beside Nikolai.
Anya slid across the leather seats, and as her skirt squeaked, she showed a sneaky smile, spreading her legs as Nikolai leaned in to help her out. The moment he saw the golden fur between her thighs, he lightly smacked her head. "Stop teasing me, you pervert!"
"Ack!? You brute!" Tears welled up in her eyes, but she seemed pleased by his attention.
The cheeky vampire slipped around his back, and leaned on her tip toes, "Did you like what you saw?" Then pushed off as he went to smack her cheek. Anya pulled out her tongue and grabbed her baggage with a delighted smile.
This cheeky witch...
"Shall we go?" Nikolai asked, turning towards the building, but as he took a step, Leona’s grip became tighter.
Ever since he pushed her onto him and came in her mouth, the vampire became even more rebellious. No, maybe it was best to say that her attempts to seduce him increased.
Nikolai led his wife and sister-in-law into the apartment complex, and as he crossed the threshold of the glass double doors, a refreshing breeze blew past. The inside of the building was the elevators and the entrance to the gym. At the desk, a sexy woman in her mid-twenties wearing yoga pants leaned over the desk, while doodling on a piece of paper.
"Nikolai." Leona’s low voice caught his attention as she pulled on his arm.
Ah...
He couldn’t help but stare at the tight-fitting pants and wonder if they would suit Leona and Anya...
But that would sound like an excuse right now.
"Haha, do you want me to wear those?"
"Mm..." The way she asked with such a needy expression caused his chest to tighten. "Will you wear them with nothing else?"
Leona’s eyes shone, and she then slapped his hips. "Fufu, if you behave."
Nikolai smiled at the woman and reached the desk, where the receptionist looked up from her doodle to greet him with a fake smile, until she saw his face.
With a single breath, her posture fixed, her hips and shoulders straight, and with a slight forward lean to show her modest cleavage.
"G-Good day... I mean, good afternoon, how may I assist you?"
"Good day." He smiled before slipping the documents and ownership details his father gave him over the counter. "I’d like to collect my keys please."
Because his father hired everyone from this woman to the trainers, most of whom weren’t humans or came from poor backgrounds, and the receptionists were privy to the intricate details due to their oversight of the keys and access.
