Black Online-Chapter 163: You Don’t Know Me
Knock! Knock!
The door opened.
"Ah~ Brother~"
Anna smiled as she stood in the doorway.
She had changed into something more casual—comfortable shirt and skintight trousers—as if she were back at her home.
"Anna, I’d like to have a word with you."
Fang Raon said.
His tone was as sharp as the blade of a well-sharpened kitchen knife. Anna knew that it was serious.
She let him in, and she sat down on the bed and watched Fang Raon slowly close the door—with a click, he locked the door.
This was one of the many vacant guest rooms of Rose Records mansion, and Anna and the members of Anna’s Angels were given a place to stay.
Even if they were just going to log off.
"You told Della about my private life. Why did you do that?"
Fang Raon asked while tracing his finger across the books on the bookshelf and saw Anna smiling via a reflection on the window.
"It was an honest mistake, brother. I thought that she already knew. I am really ashamed about that."
Anna said.
"Why did you tell her that I have a girlfriend?"
Fang Raon asked.
"What? You do have, don’t you? That Chaewon girl. You two seemed so close, and you even defended her, so I thought..."
Anna put her finger on her lip and showed a look of surprise.
"Enough!"
Fang Raon suddenly screamed, and Anna visibly flinched, and he then walked straight towards her.
He grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her down to the bed—she was really surprised now with his sudden aggression.
"B-Brother..."
"You know exactly what you’re trying to do, Anna. You want to create friction between me and others. You always do this!"
Fang Raon shouted.
"I-I am not..."
"You are!"
He screamed.
With trembling lips, Anna looked away from him, tears welling up in her eyes, and she looked like a sad puppy.
"Spare me your fake crying. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I am not falling for that again."
Fang Raon said coldly.
As if she just snapped her fingers, Anna stopped crying and turned to look at him with a blank look.
Her attempt at fake crying failed.
"Shall we stop playing games, brother? This is not who you are. You are not a follower; you’re a leader.
"Team leader of the 4th line, are you joking with me? That is an insult towards you. You should be leading this shitty guild.
"So what are you actually trying to accomplish here? Start from the bottom, and slowly rise to team leader of the 3rd line, then the 2nd, until you’re just a secondary leader of the 1st line?
"You waste your talent with that bullshit. You were never the type of person to settle for mediocrity. You know this guild doesn’t have what it takes to be the best.
"Come with me, brother."
Anna said.
"What if I don’t care about becoming the best? What if I just want to play the game and have fun with my friends?"
Fang Raon asked.
"Hahahahahaha~"
Anna laughed as if she had heard a good joke, and she touched her brother’s face tenderly, looking straight into his blue eyes.
"It was never Raikou or Raizen that resembled our father the most. It has always been you. You are just like Fang Aizen!
"That’s why... I know you’ll never be satisfied with this!"
Anna shouted.
"You never knew me, Anna. None of you did. You never realized when you hurt me, and you’ve always had this image of who I was, but you’ve never truly seen me for who I am."
Fang Raon said, and stood away from her.
She sat up, looking at him with a puzzled look.
"What are you talking about... brother..."
With a sigh, Fang Raon pulled out a holographic window in front of him, typed something into it, and then pressed a button.
[Fang Raon has challenged you to a duel!]
[Accept/Deny]
"What the hell is this, brother?"
Anna asked with a shocked look.
"Accept it, sister."
Fang Raon said coldly.
"...No, I refuse."
Anna said, and was about to press "Deny" without any hesitation, but then she heard her brother speak.
"If you deny, I will never want to see you again. I will act like you don’t even exist. I will hate you."
Fang Raon said.
With a shocked look, Anna looked at him, and she then checked the Mutual Combat Law’s rule, which Fang Raon chose.
[Rule: Fight to the death]
"Why... Why... Why... WHY?!"
Anna screamed.
She seemed to be trembling, and then, she fell down to the ground and grabbed his leg, as if she was begging him to stop.
"Please... don’t make me do this..."
She was crying.
This time, it was for real.
"I want you gone by tomorrow."
With that, her hands went through his leg as Fang Raon disappeared into thin air—the few floating pixels of his body the only trace left behind.
He logged off.
She looked at the spot where he was just moments ago, and she then wiped off her tears and stood back up.
"You are still a softie, brother."
Anna smiled.
She fell onto the bed and looked at the ceiling.
’I’ll just let him cool down for a little while. He’ll forget about this, like he always does. I just need to give him some space.
’I have a good reason to be on the 6th floor as well when the General’s Game tournament is going on, so I can see him there.
’I’ll keep my distance, but I’ll keep my eye on him.
’He just doesn’t realize that he cannot trust anyone around him. They just want him around because he has something to offer.
’When he no longer has anything, once they’ve squeezed him dry, they’ll cast him aside like he’s nothing.
’That’s why it is only a matter of time before he realizes that I am the only one that will stand by his side.
’He will realize that soon.’
Anna smiled.
She opened her system interface, and with a quick press of a "Log Off" button, she also disappeared from the room.
