Seoha’s POV

I don’t know how I made it out of the alpha’s room without falling to the ground like the idiot that I am.

With the door of my room shut behind me and my knees fully giving out, I fall to my knees and press my palms against my face.

Goddess, save me.

Everything that left me last night is suddenly rushing back to me at once, shame, pain, pleasure, satisfaction, confusion...everything.

I sniffle as tears fill my eyes.

The way the alpha looked at me this morning...it was as intense as always but it feels different, like he is struggling with himself, goddess, he must hate me.

’Alpha’ my omega whines and I push him down.

My chest feels tight as I sob into my palm on the floor, feeling stupid for thinking I would change anything by giving myself to him.

My fingers clutch his blanket tighter for comfort, it smells like him and me together, like the evidence of what we did last night and I want to keep it forever.

’One hour, we work’ the alpha’s words return to me and I force myself to move from the floor, wiping my tears and snot to put myself together.

"Shin Seoha, what is wrong with you? Why are you crying?" I mutter to myself as I move across the room, imagining it’s Minjae scolding me.

"You are used to it, your father left, your ex is a scumbag and your own mate will never want a low class thief..." I keep saying to myself.

’Good boy, you’re good’ Kang Taesan’s voice says in my head and my entire body relaxes, just the memory makes all the bad words I’m telling myself to dissolve into nothing.

"I’m good" I whisper.

Moving carefully, I get to the bathroom to wash up and then return to dress up, I deliberately refuse to look in the mirror to save myself from embarrassment...I’ve seen enough of myself last night.

My cheeks heat up as I remember it, the way I disappeared under him, the gentleness and the dominance...

"Daddy?" Sooin’s voice calls from outside and I hurriedly put on my shirt, it’s nothing suitable for work, but it’s what I have.

"Daddyyyy hurry up" the little pup says and my omega perks up at being needed, my thighs hurt from last night, but I move quickly to attend to the child.

"Daddy" she calls me again and I open the door for her.

My heart skips a beat when I see that she’s not alone.

She’s standing at my door with her father, the alpha’s face is cold as he studies me, and I drop my head, diverting my attention to the little girl.

"Hey sweetheart, how are you?" I ask and she points to her hair, "daddy, make my hair please? Like that one before!" she says and I smile at her.

"Is this how you’re dressing to work?" Taesan asks and I look down at myself, my shirt and pants are both old, their colors are faded but they still serve their purposes.

"Dad, daddy is cute right?" Sooin says and holds my hand, "right?" she says again, bouncing on her tiptoe between us and Taesan chuckles humorlessly.

"Yes, princess, cute" he says before leading us to the kitchen.

Taesan pulls out his phone and starts to type away while I style Sooin’s hair, I can’t help but sneak glances at the man as I twist and brush fine locks of baby hair, he looks handsome as always.

His shoulders look wider, maybe it’s because I’ve been under them, his eyes look enchanting, maybe it’s because they held mine when he pushed into me...

"Daddy! The egg!" Sooin tugs on my pants and I’m brought back to the meal I’m making, I almost burned the eggs while looking at the alpha that hates me.

I’m sick...I don’t want to heal...I need to get out of here.

Once I serve Sooin’s meal, Taesan looks up with questioning eyes, "Sir...?" I ask and he looks from Sooin’s plate to me.

"What about me?" he asks and my jaw drops open.

"Oh! I’ll make it right away" I say and get to making his for him, and the alpha eats it up, watching me eat mine too.

He hates me...right?

After dropping Sooin off at school, the alpha drives us to his company, Mountain Atelier, in his car.

"Don’t misunderstand, Sooin knows real family eats breakfast together, remember we are playing house just for her" he says and I nod, "yes, I’m aware sir" I lie and keep my hands on my lap.

The building of Mountain Atelier still feels like walking in a dream as we get in, I walk behind him quietly, the alpha points to an elevator to the right.

"Take that elevator and be in my office" he says coldly and enters the elevator in front of us...that elevator that houses too many memories.

I step away from it and follow his instruction, maybe the space is a good idea, especially after last night, being in a close space together with him will be dangerous.

"Seoha-ssi, hello" Yuki greets from down the hall and I wave at her, she looks a bit happier today as she goes about her day and I go into the elevator.

I walk past workers with papers and fabrics, some with tired expressions and some with determination...it makes me wonder, if all my dreams came true and I did get to work at Mountain Atelier with Minjae, will I be an exhausted or a determined worker? Will I ever know that Kang Taesan the CEO is the captain everyone fears?

"Get the fuck in here, thief" Taesan calls from the door and my body moves instantly, already calling him our master.

The tone and expression on his face are different from the last hours.

"I have some questions for you, but right now, hide in the wardrobe and keep your mouth shut" the alpha says and shoves me into the wardrobe in his office before I can think or speak.

As soon as he slams the doors shut, his office door opens and through a small hole, I see who the visitors are.
