[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 32: Ch : Letter back Home
"Prince Kaiden, you are finally here. I am sure you heard of the surprise attack by the demon army on the nearby village? It took us by surprise. The seal has not even broken yet."
The elder spoke up as soon as he saw Prince Kaiden entering the room.
"When did the attack happen? I want all details."
Prince Kaiden quickly asked as he sat down. The high elder sighed as he revealed all the details.
"It happened a few hours ago, but we just got the news. The attackers were nameless and faceless creatures coming out of nowhere. They robbed everyone in the village and left not even food behind."
The high elder described, and doubt began to crawl inside Prince Kaiden’s mind.
"Did those creatures... cause destruction?"
He asked, and the high elder quickly nodded.
"Yes, but not only that... Those creatures took cattle and other products as well. Ugh, this is all happening because of that cursed being associated with your journey. The evil has been let out too quickly. And where is that cursed man anyway? Why is he not here? He needs to be with you to control the sword—"
"I left Shuu behind. As you know, he is still sick, so it is best to let him recover. As for this attack, I can handle it with Reina alone. There is no need to get Shuu here."
Prince Kaiden’s firm words caused the high elder to falter.
He wanted to continue belittling Shuu to try and make Prince Kaiden change his mind, but it was clear that he was only causing harm to himself.
"A-Anyway, please take Kana with you. She might not be the one chosen by the sword, but she can still help you out a lot. I am sure you won’t regret your decision..."
The high elder assured Prince Kaiden, only for Prince Kaiden to sigh and give him a blank look.
"I am not interested, and I will not repeat my words. Leave Shuu alone. If you bother him, I will know."
Prince Kaiden got up without saying anything else. He had not bothered to address Kana, so she felt conflicted about whether she should follow him or not.
But the signals she was getting from the high elder told her to follow the crown prince. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Reina sighed as she followed the pair and gave Liam a look that told him he needed to keep an eye on these people.
Liam sighed before he turned toward the high elder.
"I will go and spend my time in Shuu’s room. Please keep me updated about what is going on."
Liam was polite, but his words were firm. He was also not a fool or easy to distract.
The high elder felt annoyed that Prince Kaiden had left Liam behind. Had it been Reina, they would have been able to get her angry and find ways to make her leave that cursed being alone so that they could take care of him.
But now...
’I better back down for now. I am sure I will get more chances. Besides, I should stall the crown prince for now. The saintess is on her way here. She will make him see reason soon enough.’
The high elder still had hope, but only because he did not know that Prince Kaiden had already ignored the saintess and everyone else.
Liam, who could hear and see it all, just shook his head at the attempts people were making to have the crown prince change his mind.
But anyone who knew Prince Kaiden knew that he would not change his mind for anyone. There was only one person in this whole world who could make him change his mind.
And as sorry as Liam felt for Shuu, he knew that he needed to help Prince Kaiden see reason before he actually fell for Shuu and ended up ruining both their lives in the process.
He opened the door to Shuu’s room, only to find Shuu already asleep inside. He quickly walked toward Shuu and took a look at him.
"Bluish-white hair and golden eyes. You truly look like Lady Sera. Maybe that’s why Prince Kaiden felt attracted to you. However, you both live in different worlds. You know this, but the prince needs to remember this as well. I am sure my letter to Lady Sera must have arrived by now. It is up to her to do her part."

In the capital, a lovely lady sat in the middle of the rose garden. Her bluish-silver hair blew in the wind as she put her cup of tea down.
"Ah, I miss Prince Kaiden. I wonder when he will be back. This time, I will ask him to marry me for sure."
Lady Sera commented as she put the cup of tea down. She had no doubt that she would become the crown princess.
After all, she was the only one Prince Kaiden cared about. She had him tightly wrapped around her finger.
"My lady, you have a letter for you. It’s from Sir Liam."
A butler came to deliver the message, and Lady Sera looked surprised.
"A letter... from Sir Liam? Please give it here. I want to read it."
She told the butler and took the letter. She opened it, hoping to read good news. But the contents made her freeze as soon as she saw them.
"W-What is this...? What do you mean Prince Kaiden took a temporary companion and even marked him? Then... what about me? I... I need to go and see him..."
Lady Sera stood up, only to be weighed down by her dress. She hated that she had to dress like this, but she needed it to appear elegant and lovely...
"My lady, would you like to write a letter to Prince Kaiden? He cares about you a lot... and I am sure he loves you. I am sure he won’t ignore a letter written by you."
The maid of the imperial palace where Lady Sera was currently staying told her, and Sera bit her lip.
She wanted to head out herself, but she knew that she could not.
"Ugh, alright. As long as Prince Yunn is keeping an eye on me, I cannot leave. I might as well settle down and write that letter..."
Unlike Crown Prince Kaiden, Prince Yunn did not like her. And no matter how much Sera tried, that man just refused to even listen to her.
So her freedom without the crown prince was limited, and she had no choice but to send a letter secretly to Liam so that Prince Yunn would not know.
