Emperor Kaiden’s laugh was strained and it made everyone flinch and take a step back. They looked at Kaiden with a weary expression, but Kaiden did not even pay attention to them.
Instead, he just closed his eyes as if he was pained to even think about everything, and the world began to shake.

Emperor Kaiden was still spewing words that people understood but did not know what to do about.
Their emperor was getting more and more unstable by the second and Duke Inferno decided that it was his chance to convince everyone that Emperor Kaiden needed to be pushed out.

Duke Inferno looked even happier to see the emperor showing such unstable emotions and he let out a smile behind his hands.

The imperial palace suddenly shook and loud screams reached the wedding hall as well. Everyone froze and looked at the door where guards drenched in blood entered.
"M-Monsters...they are swarming the palace at an alarming rate. W-We cannot hold them back. Emperor Kaiden, w-what should we do?"
The soldier turned his hopeful eyes toward Kaiden, but he did not get an answer from him. Kaiden just smiled in the same mysterious way as he always did.
"E-Emperor...?"
The guard asked once more. But the longer this silence dragged on, the more he felt suffocated. But he was not the only one who was feeling suffocated.
The others around Kaiden also took a step back from him, but their eyes looked shocked and worried at the same time.
Kaiden just sighed as he watched them all jump away from him. But once again, he remained silent.
It was his declaration to everyone to show that he won’t interfere in any of this drama. And that caused the guards to turn to their last hope-Emperor Kaiden’s heir.
Prince Caelis was not even two years old yet, but he must be someone extraordinary. That was all the guards and citizens could hope for as they turned toward him.
"P-Prince Caelis, what should we do? At this rate, we all-"
"Should die. You all should die after failing to protect Shuu and Rin. I don’t want to help you out anymore."
The kid refused as well and the guard felt momentary shock to hear such a mature voice at such a young age.
Monsters started to break into the hall as well and all the nobles panicked.
Unlike the guards, they had never had to fight for their lives, so they knew that they were as good as dead as soon as these monsters reached them.
"E-Emperor-! Kaiden-! Have you lost your mind?"
Duke Inferno asked while gritting his teeth. He no longer cared that he was losing his reputation. Currently, his life was in danger.
But Kaiden just kept on laughing at him.
"Have I lost my mind? Of course I have lost my mind. Why wouldn’t I lose my mind? After all, I already lost my reason to keep this place going."
That was the final straw for everyone. It was clear to the nobility that their emperor had abandoned them all and they had no more hope left.
Not only were Emperor Kaiden and Prince Caelis indifferent to their death, but Prince Yunn looked on as a bystander as well, not saying or helping with anything.

Duke Inferno was dead within seconds. Nero had finally lost his patience and decided to attack him outright.
