[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 302: A Dream III
They started by targeting Eden’s career.
Eden wished to make professional progress by applying to companies and taking more professional jobs.
But all companies strangely rejected him. He wasn’t progressing in anything he was doing, and he kept getting fired from some part-time jobs he was working at as well.
Nothing was suddenly going his way, and he became worried.
At that moment, Gideon could tell what was happening. And he went to meet his parents to question them as to why they were picking on Eden.
"What the hell are you two doing? Why are you bullying him?!" He snapped at them in the sitting room.
"We’re just getting back what he took from us. So if you care about him that much, let him go and come back to your senses. Come back and take over the company, marry a girl and have a decent family. Stop being stupid!" His father snapped.
They had another heated argument and Gideon refused to do what they asked him to do. He refused it all and said he’d stay with Eden till the end.
"Then we’ll make his life hell." His parents knew that Eden was his weakness, so they proclaimed they would attack him.
They told Gideon how they’d not only attack him in his work but also send some people to make his life hell. How they’d attack him in all possible ways.
Gideon was scared but thought they were only threatening him. But they weren’t.
One day, Eden was almost attacked by some men late at night while on his way back. Gideon had saved him.
That was the moment Gideon knew Eden was in danger. And he had to protect him first by all means.
He was weak himself without much help, so he did what he could at least do. He went to his parents and told them to stop and that he’d end things with Eden.
One random night, they were talking and laughing about past memories in university. From the moment they met till the moment they began dating.
And while they spoke and laughed, Gideon randomly said, "Eden, let’s break up."
It was a shocking statement that left them quiet for a while, staring at each other.
"Huh? What are you talking about—"
"Let’s break up. Let’s stop this. We’re tired. Let’s free ourselves, okay?" Gideon smiled as he spoke, but tears ran down his cheeks.
Eden got angry at his statement. "...But we promised to stick to the end..."
"That would only destroy us further. Let’s just... end this..."
They exchanged words as Eden got pissed. "How dare you think you can call it ends as you wish? What gave you the right to do that?!"
"How can you just give up on us that easily?!" Eden demanded.
It was their first argument. Although it wasn’t heated and filled with loud and harsh words thrown at each other, it was still emotionally packed and heavy.
One that broke them apart as they spoke.
But it didn’t fix anything because they went to bed that night without speaking to each other for days.
Gideon moved out the next day. He had messaged Eden about it. But Eden didn’t bother to read or respond to it.
They didn’t speak for days. Weeks. Even though they cared about each other, they never spoke. The two stayed in different parts of life trying to move forward.
After a long time, Eden missed Gideon. He hadn’t heard from him for years. He sent him a message to meet at their favourite cafe.
And so Eden waited at that cafe. After three hours, Gideon didn’t come. He still waited till it was night. He waited the whole day, but Gideon didn’t.
And when he called him, he didn’t pick up. At that moment, Eden slowly burst out into tears. Not because Gideon wasn’t picking up or coming, but because he knew something had happened.
"He never ignored my calls... He always... He always came..." Eden burst out into tears, sobbing hard at the cafe.
A day later, it was revealed that Gideon had passed away. He died in a car accident he got into.
He wasn’t unstable while driving. He was heavily depressed and drunk while driving, and he got into an accident and died.
Eden broke down in his room in tears when he learned about this. He had discovered that the "cold" Gideon had said he was suffering from back then wasn’t a cold.
He had depression. He had grown up with depression. One he had developed because of his parents who were always harsh with him. He never had a happy childhood with them.
Eden cried himself to sleep for days reading through Gideon’s emails he had scheduled to send to him after his death.
Emails expressing his appreciation to Eden for bringing him out of his dark time. Meeting Eden back then brought him joy and stabilized him from his depressive state.
He was always happy with Eden and it healed him.
Eden felt shattered reading through his last words to him. He couldn’t breathe having cried for hours.
He had lost the person who had sent him these messages. He had lost the person who viewed him as his sunlight. He had lost the person who loved him the most.
And he drowned himself in the tears of it.
Eden attended Gideon’s burial. And there he met his parents. They were crying in the corner.
And so he walked up to them, keeping his calm. "Are you happy now?"
"Why are you here? Haven’t you seen what you did? You still have the guts to be here?" Gideon’s father questioned him.
Eden scoffed as he said, "What I did? Don’t worry, I won’t be here for too long. I just came to make sure that you two know how terrible of parents you are. And how you ruined the life of your son."
He said while he handed them a printout of Gideon’s emails—his last words.
These were words his parents never listened to. Words expressing how they made his life miserable. How he developed depression because of what they put him through. They thought they were doing something good for him, but he expressed how all they did for him ruined him piece by piece.
Eden handed them the 10 pages of Gideon’s last words.
"All your son wanted was to be happy. But you shattered that for him," Eden scoffed. "I hope you two are happy forever about that."
He said as he walked away, leaving the two of them to break down in tears while reading through Gideon’s last words.
And Eden too went home to his apartment, locked himself in, and drowned himself in the tears of losing Gideon forever.
