Chapter 125: Feel Jealous

At the Romano family home, Julian was washing dishes after dinner. He glanced over at Luna, who was playing with her doll on the kitchen floor. The girl didn’t want to leave her father’s side, waiting for him to finish his chores.

Julian smiled as he focused on the dishes he was washing, watching Luna play so actively with her toys. He was glad he wasn’t alone at home while Arcane was away on a school trip this time. He had Luna with him.

"Papa, can I watch TV after this? I want to eat the chips I didn’t finish this afternoon!" she said as she stood up from the floor.

He dried his hands with a small towel, then nodded. "Of course. You can finish the chips you had for lunch."

As they walked towards the living room to watch television, suddenly the doorbell rang, causing Julian to immediately turn towards the door.

He asked Luna to go to the living room first, while he went to open the front door and see who had come.

Ding dong!

The doorbell rang again, prompting him to quicken his pace and open the door. Standing there was a middle-aged man with brown hair and green eyes, similar to his husband’s.

"Oh, Mr. Stamford, I mean... Father. What brings you here so late?" Julian asked, inviting him inside. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"I came to see Luna. I just finished work at school, and before going home, I took the time to come here." Donald walked in carrying a bag of snacks for his granddaughter.

They went to the living room and saw Luna sitting on the sofa eating chips. Hearing footsteps approaching, the little girl turned and saw her grandfather coming to visit.

Slowly, she got up from the sofa and walked towards them. Even though they had known each other for more than half a year, Luna still sometimes felt shy around him.

"Hello Luna, I came to bring you some snacks. I’m sure you’ll like them, and look, I also brought you a Hello Kitty doll," said Donald, showing her a small doll.

Her eyes sparkled with happiness and she immediately beamed, seeing her current favorite toys and snacks.

"Say something to your grandfather," said Julian.

"Thank you, Grandpa! I really like it," she said happily as she hugged her new doll.

Donald, seeing her sweet smile, smiled too, and his heart swelled. He felt so happy to be able to make her smile like that with what he had given her.

Although Luna was not his biological granddaughter, to him, Luna was more than just a girl adopted by his son. She was like a little angel who made his heart happy.

Not only him, but since Luna was adopted, Stefano and Sofia have also been very happy to have such a sweet niece. Sometimes Sofia, who spends more time with Luna, dresses her up in beautiful dresses like a princess.

She also enjoys dressing her up and playing with her.

Luna is no longer lonely, because there are many people who are now her family.

"I heard you feel sad because your Daddy is on a school trip right now. But don’t worry, tomorrow he will definitely come home and see you again," said Donald.

He had heard the news from Arcane that Luna missed him. That’s why Donald came to cheer up his granddaughter, bringing snacks and a new doll.

"Yes! Daddy said he’ll be home tomorrow."

They then sat together, where Luna continued watching her favorite cartoons, while Julian talked with his father-in-law.

There, Donald received a report that the teachers’ and students’ trip was going smoothly. Julian felt relieved upon hearing this, but it turned out there was one problem that had occurred.

"Huh? Did something happen to the students while they were doing their activities?" Julian asked in surprise and a little concern upon learning this.

"No, it happened because Mr. Bernard suddenly fainted while they were climbing the hill. I heard this from the committee chairman this afternoon," Donald replied.

Hearing that name mentioned, Julian felt a little reluctant to listen. He wasn’t particularly interested in anything related to hooks, because that man always reminded him of how he looked at Arcane with such a gentle gaze, as if he wanted him so badly.

This was compounded by the story Donald told, about Arcane carrying Kyle down the hill and bringing him back to the inn.

"He must have been so exhausted that he fainted like that. But luckily, Arcane quickly carried him on his back at that time. That’s what they told me," he continued.

He didn’t know that Kyle liked Arcane, so Donald told him everything that the committee had reported to him as the principal.

"I see. From what I can tell, Mr. Bernard is someone who looks smaller and weaker than the other teachers. So it’s not surprising that he gets tired easily when climbing a hill," replied Julian, who was just trying to respond casually, hiding the jealousy he felt.

Actually, he didn’t want to talk about that man, but he couldn’t show it in front of her. Especially since Donald knew nothing about it.

"Daddy saved someone?" asked Luna, turning to them.

"Yes, that’s right. Your daddy saved someone," replied Donald, stroking Luna’s head.

Her smile beamed when she heard that, feeling proud that her father had saved someone else. Seeing that smile, Julian smiled too and could understand how Luna was feeling at that moment.

But still, he felt something bad when he thought about it.

That night, when Luna was asleep, Julian was still scrolling through his social media. At first, he was just watching some funny videos there. But lately, while watching short videos, he often came across videos about infidelity.

Both between men and women and between men.

"Why are there so many cases of infidelity lately? And of all those... most of them happen with coworkers," he said, furrowing his brow.

The images of Arcane and Kyle flashed through his mind. Especially since they were fellow teachers. Plus, after finding out they were in the same room right now.

He gripped his phone tightly, trying to convince himself that Arcane couldn’t possibly do that to him.

"No... That’s impossible."
