[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World-Chapter 279: Alterian Needs the Elixir
The two sides couldn’t reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, Ambar sat calmly, sipping the drink in her hand. She always enjoyed watching powerful people fight over her creations.
The representative from Alterian House turned to her, hoping for support from a fellow human-race.
But Ambar only responded with a faint, meaningless smile.
"Sir Nino, if Alterian House truly needs this elixir, you can just buy it directly after the official launch—through Rolion House," the Rolion merchant representative said with a confident grin.
Nino glanced at the red-skinned devil but didn’t respond.
"Excuse me for a moment," he said before stepping out of the main hall.
But his steps halted when he saw a familiar figure.
"Isn’t that Young Master Langga?" he murmured, his eyes narrowing at the tall, silver-haired man in a sleek black suit that fit him perfectly.
Nino was about to approach him—but stopped.
Langga looked too serious, his gaze fixed in one direction.
Following that gaze, Nino frowned slightly before continuing on his way to the side hall.
He took out his crystal ring and activated it. "Lady Syeila, Rolion House refuses to negotiate," he reported.
"They want full control of the elixir formula—or they’ll make us pay the same outrageous price to access it. I’ve already explained that Alterian House doesn’t intend to mass-produce it."
A graceful woman’s voice answered from within the crystal, calm yet sharp.
"They’re leeches—greedy and cunning. If we can’t negotiate, then drop it. We can’t afford to wait years until the elixir hits the market. We need it now—for Langga."
"Lady—oh, by the way, Young Master Langga is here too. Did you send him to assist me?"
"No," Syeila replied, a hint of curiosity in her tone. "He’s there? That means he does care about his condition after all."
She sounded pleased.
But Nino almost wanted to tell her that Langga’s real issue wasn’t about being manly or fertile.
It was whether he’d even consider finding a partner and getting married.
That thought reminded him of how Langga had looked earlier.
"Lady, when I saw Young Master Langga, he seemed to be staring quite intently in one direction—at a few people in particular."
"Really?" Syeila’s voice instantly filled with energy. "Who was he looking at?"
"There were two," Nino replied carefully. "Jett Forgearsly, from the gnome Forgearsly family, and a human commoner known as the Alchemy Genius—Gara."
"Gara?!" Syeila’s tone sharpened with sudden excitement. Then she caught herself and tried to sound composed again.
"Those two are his students from the academy, aren’t they? Maybe he’s just observing them as a professor?"
"No, Lady," Nino said firmly. "From what I saw... that gaze was too intimate for that."
There was a long pause, then Syeila spoke again, her voice cool but amused.
"Bring me the documents on both of them—actually, forget Gara’s."
"Yes, Lady," Nino replied obediently.
Before the connection faded, he could faintly hear her soft, delighted laughter echoing through the crystal.
...
A week remained before the holiday ended, and today was the day Gara and Madha had been waiting for.
At a small restaurant on the outskirts of the capital, the outside looked quiet. There were no customers, no staff.
A simple sign hung on the door — "Closed."
But inside, the place was lively.
A long table by the wall was filled with food and drinks of every kind, while five round tables stood neatly arranged in the center.
The small stage where the restaurant’s singer usually performed had been covered with a white carpet and decorated with flowers.
Hilda checked the stage one last time before approaching the pretty black-haired man sitting at the front table.
"Master Gara, I’ve checked everything. It’s all safe," she reported.
"Oh, Hilda." Gara sighed, half exasperated and half thankful. "I told you to let someone else handle this. You’re supposed to be a guest here, not my employee."
"I can’t trust something this important to anyone else, Master," she replied, completely missing the frustration in his tone.
Gara exhaled deeply. "Fine. Go sit down." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Hilda nodded and took a seat at the table behind him.
From the second floor, Wina and Della came down the stairs, dressed in elegant gowns and light makeup that made them look radiant.
Hilda instinctively helped them descend, even though their dresses weren’t that long. Still, since the fabric looked expensive, both women stepped carefully.
Gara could only facepalm. His manager simply couldn’t stay still. She’d help with anything instead of letting her subordinate do it.
Wina and Della sat at the same table as Gara.
Wina’s eyes immediately glistened when she saw him. She didn’t say a word, but Gara understood what she felt.
He pulled her into a gentle hug.
"Mom, don’t cry," he whispered. "You’ll ruin your makeup."
Wina nodded, though her tears had already spilled. Hilda was quick to hand her a handkerchief.
Meanwhile, Della couldn’t take her eyes off Gara. A faint smile curved on her lips, as if convincing herself she really had to move on.
Just then, the sound of the door opening drew everyone’s attention. They turned simultaneously.
Madha walked in, followed by two men about the same height as him. Not only their height, but their hair, color, and even their facial features were strikingly similar.
"It’s good to see you again, Auntie Wina," greeted the older-looking one.
"It’s been a while, Seno. You too, Wasa," Wina replied warmly.
They were Madha’s brothers, who had just arrived in the capital yesterday.
Gara and Hilda had accompanied Madha to welcome them, so they’d already met before.
"I still can’t believe I’ll have the genius behind Alrova as my brother-in-law," said Wasa excitedly. "My friends are going to be so jealous."
Gara laughed softly. "Then make sure you brag about me properly, alright?"
Their table was right next to Gara’s family table, but since the event hadn’t officially started yet, they all gathered around Gara’s to chat.
Before long, more guests began to arrive.
The guests were a group from Raksa County — Yuvika, her father, Kevio, and Orman.
