Bizarre Realm-Chapter 472 - 61: Divine Tree Song Ritual
Shawn originally planned to leave after delivering his things.
But he couldn’t, as the Forest Sage asked for his help to complete an ancient nature ritual—the Divine Tree Song.
Among the many rituals, the two most powerful and sacred rituals of the Father of the Oak are known as the "Tree Song" and the "Tree Spirit Dance" (Nature Festival). In the former, followers of the Path of Nature will chant impressive natural hymns in unison, attracting forest creatures to stop and listen. The latter is a joyful ritual to revive the forest’s vitality, where followers summon tree spirits with flute sounds and dance, bringing them out of their trees to roam among humans, thereby awakening nature’s vitality through communion.
The ritual arranged by the Forest Sage evidently had a much larger scope, so the requirements for participants were extremely high!
Simply put, a vast mana pool was needed.
Not just anyone could be chosen to initiate the Divine Tree Song ritual. The essence of the ritual was to extract mana, resonate with the energy of nature, and attune with the Natural Law, in order to perform a nearly Twelfth Ring natural spell.
This resulted in the possibility that if a participant’s strength was insufficient, they might be drained dry by the fairies.
Fairy Species’ talent domain was also charm, and they had their own methods for life extraction rituals.
Shawn was actually very hesitant because, although his mana pool was substantial, he wasn’t sure he could endure the Divine Tree Song ritual, and might have to suffer a permanent decrease in constitution.
To this, the Forest Sage reassured him, "The Great Druids will arrange a Nature Circle."
"Most of the power consumed by the Nature Festival will be provided by us. You only need to maintain the Divine Tree Song ritual."
Shawn was still a bit resistant.
Because this ancient nature ritual required him to publicly commune with many fairy species, the rituals of the Original Natural Pantheon tended to be more uninhibited. Some deities of the Natural Pantheon would gather followers together on specific festivals, following traditional methods in such law of life-awakening ancient rituals.
Daisy, who was beside him, was already stunned.
This was definitely not something for children to hear. She obviously knew what the Divine Tree Song ritual was, so she curiously tilted her head, looking at Shawn, then at the Forest Sage in front of her.

In theory, it should definitely be a Great Druid hosting this, but it seemed the Forest Sage thought his chances of success were greater.
Upon hearing this, the Forest Sage nodded and said, "Very well."
"I’m sure Lady Hecate can also provide some advice."
Seeing no way to refuse, Shawn could only arrange to contact his teacher about the ritual, and after recounting the events, Lady Hecate’s calm voice sounded, "Since they want your help, you should do your best."
"Don’t worry. You won’t die."
"Haven’t you always wanted the support of the Path of Nature? This is an opportunity. As long as the ancient ritual of the Divine Tree Song is successfully initiated, you will hold a high reputation within the Path of Nature."
This was a challenge he had to face despite the odds.
Shawn pondered for a moment and then slowly said, "Can other fairy species join this ritual?"
The Forest Sage replied with doubt, "It’s not impossible."
"But it mustn’t pollute the purity of the ritual."
Shawn immediately said, "In my Half-Plane, there are three Lake Fairies who are also members of the Path of Nature, so they shouldn’t pollute the energy of the ritual."
Lake Fairies?
The Forest Sage frowned and said, "The Divine Tree Song must be initiated by the tree spirits; water fairies might not work."
It seemed like there was a misunderstanding.
Shawn immediately explained, "I practice both Arcane Magic and Mind Path powers. The Shapeshifter class has an ability called Fusion Technique that allows me to acquire the mana pool of others." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"The spell initiated by the Divine Tree Song ritual approaches the Twelfth Ring, and I fear I cannot support it alone."
"If possible, I hope to bring them into the ritual and, if necessary, convert their mana pools into mine using the Fusion Technique."
Simply put, Shawn wanted to bring in three power banks.
With Shawn’s current abilities, ritual spells under the Tenth Ring could be activated effortlessly, but the higher the ring, the larger the mana pool needed. This ancient Nature Festival was almost as if a divine spirit was personally performing a Miracle Skill. Even with many Great Druids assisting with the mana of a Nature Circle, Shawn was still worried that his mana pool might not suffice. The three Lake Fairy sisters, having recovered significant power, also had mana pools close to those of Legendary Druids, thus greatly increasing Shawn’s assurance of sustaining until the end.
The Forest Sage contemplated for a moment and said, "It’s worth a try."
In fact, besides Shawn, there was another person on the Path of Nature who could maintain the ritual, and that was himself. However, his age was indeed too great. Even if his mana pool could withstand it, his body certainly could not. From the look of the Forest Sage, it was clear that he accepted natural aging. Among Druids, only a very few chose natural aging, as they believed death was part of nature, as was aging, and so they actively gave up the power of immortality.
