Bizarre Realm-Chapter 302 - 3: We Are All Monsters! Exiles
The scene not far away was slightly bloody.
Shawn thought for a moment, and a fish appeared out of thin air in his palm. Then, with a gentle lift of his finger, the flying fish shot out like an arrow.
Whoosh!
A live flying fish streaked across the sky, directly attacking the barbarian under the tree shade.
——Arrow Shooting Skill (Zero-Ring Cantrip)!
The Zero-Level cantrip might not be very powerful, but it was quite useful in ordinary times. Arrow Shooting Skill could simulate the effect of a force field, equivalent to launching a target with a light crossbow. In a martial arts novel from a past life, it would definitely be at the level of the Finger Snap Divine Technique. Even an ordinary stone could cause considerable damage, easily knocking out a grown man without any problem.
Under the tree shade, the burly and rugged man, who resembled a wild man, suddenly twitched his ear. This was the listening capability of a Transcendent; he heard the sound of the Arrow Shooting Skill slicing through the air.
Only the Warrior Side Transcendent possessed such a high level of listening, while a Caster would need to rely on spell curios to achieve it.
"A master!" Shawn realized instantly. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Warrior Side Transcendents can be compared to masters in the martial arts world. Their abilities in searching, listening, and stealth are comparable to the five senses of martial arts masters. Someone with such a strong listening ability is at least a mid to high-tier professional of Extraordinary Level ten and above.
In that instant, he extended his powerful, muscular right hand and effortlessly grabbed the flying fish that grazed past the campfire.
Shawn's shooting direction wasn't targeting him, so he didn't sense hostility. Barbarians possess natural intuitive sensing, making them one of the top combatants within the Close Combat Series Transcendents.
"Just one? Not enough to eat!"
A rough voice resounded with a trace of boldness. He turned to see Shawn's hidden position, pausing slightly in surprise, but soon burst into laughter, saying, "Give me more!"
"Where did you get these fish?"
The other party likely didn't come from the lake where the Lake Fairy resides. Judging by the signs of battle, it's possible he came from the Supreme Cliff, where dangers abound with many powerful mutated creatures, even Legendary Level existences.
Shawn lightly leaped down from the treetop, his Elf Robe gently swaying as he landed. After mastering the ability of Skilled Spellcasting, low-tier spells were almost Instant Cast.
One by one, the Invisible Hands extended from behind Shawn, and soon, lively fish flew across.
The burly wild man picked up a fish, sniffed it under his nose, then directly skewered it with a branch to roast over the fire, not even bothering to clean the scales.
"Very fresh!" he sniffed and said with a smile.
Determining poison just by smell showed great confidence, or perhaps due to his robust physique, most poisons were no longer effective.
Shawn walked toward him step by step, the Invisible Hands automatically brushing aside the deformed crow-man's corpse nearby.
In the next moment.
The soft earth rose, forming a table and two chairs on the spot. With a gentle wave of Shawn's hand, the earth turned to rock, and a stone table appeared out of nowhere in front of the two.
The barbarian's pupils slightly contracted at the sight, instantly realizing he had encountered a big shot.
The barbarian placed the skewered fish over the campfire, stood up, adjusted his tattered clothes, and bowed respectfully to Shawn: "Quinn-To, Path of Nature, from the Northern Icefield in the Del Region."
"Are you from the Realm of Reality or nearby Abyss City?"
High Tier Barbarian.
For Transcendents from the Realm of Reality to complete their Path of Destiny, they must leave the comfortable and peaceful environments to enter the Bizarre Realm seeking opportunities.
This was the first time Shawn encountered a Transcendent from the reality realm in the wild.
Shawn gazed at the wild man before him. He didn't know how long he'd been wandering the wild; the scent of blood on him was so strong it seemed permanent. His muscular arms bore numerous scars, most of which had healed.
After a moment's thought, he said, "Northern people? Barbarian Path?"
"How did you end up here?"
If Shawn remembered correctly, when Transcendents from the real world leave the high walls to train, it's on the other side of this continent, and the nearby region was the territory of Abyss City activities.
Quinn-To plunked down on the stone chair, nonchalantly continued roasting the fish with the branch. Though sitting with his side facing Shawn, his attention was entirely on him, unconcerned that Shawn hadn't answered his question. While flipping the fish, he said, "Not long ago, I encountered a Flying Dragon. That beast carried me into the air for over half a day."
"Afraid of falling to my death, I held back from making a move, only finding a chance to land later."
"But upon landing, I stumbled upon a group of owl-men and ended up fleeing here with supplies lost."
A fall from ten thousand meters could kill a Legendary Warrior, which shows the limitations of Warrior Side Transcendents.
Of course, with proper preparation and equipment, it's a different story.
Quinn-To pulled a fang-like dagger from his chest and laid it on the table, continuing, "There's not much to eat in this cursed place, so I've only been able to fill my stomach with these crow-men."
A Poison Fang of the Swamp Flying Dragon.
This guy is a Dragon Slayer Warrior; adult Swamp Flying Dragons are at least High-Tier monsters, some capable of spitting strong acid that can completely dissolve a person.
Undoubtedly, this is a Transcendent searching for the Path of Destiny.
Shawn waved his hand lightly, and a jar of salt floated to the other side. He said calmly, "Shawn, from the Dorne Kingdom. Recently training near Abyss City."
