Bizarre Realm-Chapter 110 - 35: Light Chasers Will Never Abandon the Light!
In the underground chamber.
Shawn’s consciousness awoke from the deepest part of the Ethereal Plane. When he opened his eyes, there was already a long black box beside him.
The Ethereal Plane is not a place for ordinary people, requiring mid to high-tier Teleportation Spells to reach. Without the power of the No.1 Sealed Object, he wouldn’t have a chance at all.
Shawn used the Invisible Hand to lift the black box in front of him, walked to the keyboard, and gently typed: "Thank you."
The cursor on the monitor flickered.
No.1 Sealed Object: "..."
"..."
"Don’t completely trust anyone, whether they’re natives or souls from the Otherworld."
"..."
"You must find the answers yourself and make choices."
"..."
These sudden words left Shawn stunned for a moment, even feeling a sense of déjà vu. But this time he was sure he didn’t fall for any Mind Suggestion, as his ability to identify most Spell Fluctuations had strengthened significantly after his promotion, enhancing his self-awareness continuously.
Shawn glanced back at the door; the Tomb Guardian hadn’t come in. His brow furrowed as he typed: "What do you mean?"
The screen of the No.1 Sealed Object flickered, responding: "The fate of this world is determined by natives, souls from the Otherworld, and foreigners together."
"They all have their ideas and interests."
"You must also make your own choices, rather than being manipulated by fate under others’ influence."
"Everything you’ve experienced now is a prearranged script."
"You’re just an actor in it."
The words from the No.1 Sealed Object sent a chill down Shawn’s spine, making him unsure whether to believe what it said.
The painful lesson from Lorice last time left an indelible mark on Shawn.
Shawn typed: "I don’t understand."
A phantasmal image, like an electronic demon, flashed across the No.1 Sealed Object’s screen, answering: "Everything happening here is a contest among demigods that started more than a decade ago."
"You’re just an incidental factor caught up in it."
"Everyone wants your support, even through you to obtain the master’s heritage, because you represent the foreigners, the first one to enter here in nearly a thousand years."
"The masters have been gone too long...."
"Everything has changed!"
"In the nearly thousand years of absence, the real world has been entirely controlled by natives and souls from the Otherworld. Foreigners have no demigods of their own but left behind a vast inheritance."
"Your choice is very important."
"But you must make your own choice!"
Shawn felt a buzzing in his head. The words of the No.1 Sealed Object planted a seed of doubt in his heart. He knew that no one in this world would be good to him for no reason, but, with his current awareness, seeing through who was telling the truth seemed impossible.
Shawn slowly typed: "Why are you telling me this?"
The No.1 Sealed Object seemed silent for a moment, then answered: "Because I don’t want to perish."
"We are also part of the inheritance."
"I can only give you one piece of advice: don’t be influenced by external emotions. Seek power to the best of your ability. The gift left by the master shouldn’t be so weak!"
"Your potential is stronger than you imagine!"
"Here, only with power can you decide your own destiny and have the right to choose."
Power?
Shawn also wanted to rapidly enhance his own strength, and his promotion speed had already far surpassed other Supernaturals.
But judging from No.1 Sealed Object’s meaning, he hadn’t yet fully unleashed his potential. His talents currently were a powerful intuition and Death Retrospect ability. Apart from that, Shawn didn’t feel anything different about himself.
No.1 Sealed Object was a part of the legacy they left behind. Ignoring everything it said was difficult, and judging by its intentions, it only hoped that Shawn could quickly enhance his power and unleash his true potential.
Shawn took a deep breath and typed: "What should I do?"
He truly couldn’t distinguish any longer.
If all of this was indeed a contest among demigods, a prearranged script, what could a mere Wizard Apprentice like him do?
The screen of the No.1 Sealed Object glowed, answering: "Find opportunities to break out of the scripts they have prepared."
"Or, wait for the right moment."
"Someone will come to find you and take you away from this stage because everything here isn’t his script."
"But remember, don’t completely believe what he says."
"For now."
"You just need to play your role well and act according to your own heart."
"Lie low and wait for the day when you truly control your own destiny."
"0 and 1."
"Are the real inheritance they left for you."
Outside the underground corridor.
Shawn was still pondering the words of the No.1 Sealed Object. What exactly were 0 and 1?
Its meaning certainly wasn’t referring to himself and the No.0 Sealed Object but rather to something represented by No.1 and No.0 Sealed Objects.
It didn’t want to perish.
That’s why it said so much to Shawn. So, who would cause its demise?
Those who secretly schemed for inheritance?
"Someone wants the true inheritance of the foreigners, but what is the true inheritance?" Shawn didn’t know, but he knew that inheritance must be extremely important, a force that even demigods covet.
Something that can make demigods covet must certainly exist at the level of Divine Spirits.
Divine Artifact?
No, the Dark Era didn’t record any significant Divine Artifacts. The essence of all Curios is the conversion of Extraordinary Relics. A Divine Artifact itself represents a kind of world Law, and upon devouring integration, there’s even the possibility of becoming a demigod. Having a Divine Artifact is for digesting and becoming a demigod, not to be kept as a piece of weapon equipment.
