Chapter 59: Alpha Daughter in the Making — Part 2.

Bulwark Beetle, Super Snake, & Large Lizard Traits: [Heavy Carapace], [Shield Limbs], [Formation Instinct], [Brace Stance], [Iron Scales], [Constricting Strength], [Serpentine Locomotion], [Spike Hide], [Tail Whip], [Thermal Camouflage], [Heavyweight Physique], [Powerful Limbs], [Autonomous Limb Reflex], [Acute Predator Awareness].

"By layering the Beetle’s blunt force resistance, the Large Lizard’s durable hide, and the Snake’s slashing immunity, She will become a walking tank. Her locomotion ensures that despite her massive weight, she can move with the silent, fluid grace of a predator."

Demonic Ogre & Dire Drake Traits: [Enhanced Strength and Stamina], [Tool/Weapon Use], [Demonic Blood Art], [Drake Scales], [Alpha Physique], [Corrosive Venom], [Toxic Breath Residue], [Volcanic Endurance], [Apex Drake Instinct].

"This is the crown jewel. The Dire Drake’s musculature combined with the Ogre’s raw power creates a terrifying level of physical output. Add the corrosive venom and toxic breath residue, and she can melt through defenses that would stop most monsters."

Maddy paused, deliberately leaving out the Dire Drake’s elemental traits like [Blazing Breath], [Lingering Flames], and [Fire Element (Advanced)].

"If I added those, she’d rely on magic. I want my daughter to always be on the front lines. With pure defense and superhuman strength, she becomes her siblings’ walking shield—drawing every enemy’s focus while they attack safely from behind."

She reached for the final phase: the name.

"Her name... it must suit the alpha... a woman Ogre... and a Dire Drake..."

The glowing panel reflected in her eyes, bright and expectant.

"Al—Dire... Dyralfa."

The name resonated, heavy with power and authority.

"Yes. Dyralfa. A name worthy of an alpha daughter."

She drew a deep breath, finger hovering over the final confirmation.

[Name successfully assigned: Dyralfa | Base Form: Ogre | Physical Appearance Changes: Super Snake: Eyes, Dire Drake: Anatomy | Traits Applied: Mineral-Mineral Worm-Dire Drake-Super Snake-Bulwark Beetle-Demonic Ogre | All Systems Stable]

Maddy slammed her palm onto the ’CONFIRM’ button. The Mobile Womb erupted in a geyser of steam and violet light. The chamber walls groaned as the mana density spiked, a heavy, volcanic pressure filling the room. Inside the translucent sac, a massive, powerful silhouette began to take shape—a woman built of iron, stone, and dragon.

"Grow well, Dyralfa. Your brothers are waiting for their big sister. And I... I can’t wait to see the look on the world’s face when you step out of this cave."

[System Notice]

[Gestation for ’Dyralfa’ has begun.]

[Estimated time: 01D : 00H : 00M : 00S]

Maddy stared at the timer, but it wasn’t just a countdown—it was everything.

"One day... Arach had two days of gestation, but she... only one. Well, seeing Arach had five million Magic and Might each, his numbers are insane, you’ll be exceptional too. A chief ogre is called ’chief’ because of raw talent, and that one kept blabbering about it..."

She touched the sac gently.

"I wouldn’t be surprised if you hit a million values as well... I can’t wait for my very first daughter."

Her peace was shattered when a A piercing, shrieking echoed through the cave. Maddy spun around, her eyes darting past Arach, who was still rinsing his muscular frame in the steam of the hot spring. She sprinted toward the entrance, her heart lurching at the sight of Sephiran.

Sephiran with his little legs blurring as he ran in frantic circles. He screamed,

"Get away! Get away from me, you wobbly thing!"

A translucent, swirling orb of pale green light chased him, trailing wisps of wind that whistled through the stone corridor. It looked like a flickering flame made of oxygen. Maddy’s eyes narrowed as the Monsterpedia updated in her vision.

[New Monsterpedia Entry: Air Elemental Soul (Basic)]

[Air Elemental Soul: A flickering spark of pure elemental energy. These souls are short-lived and must find a physical host to survive or fade into nothingness.]

Maddy slid quickly between the boy and the spirit, placing herself as a barrier.

"Sephiran, stop! It won’t hurt you!"

"It’s a ghost, Mother! It wants to eat my soul!"

Sephiran sobbed, diving behind her legs and clutching her waist. Maddy froze for a moment, realizing her mistake. To her, the spirit was nothing more than a bundle of raw stats and potential but to a child, it was a terrifying, otherworldly predator.

"Oh... right. You don’t see them like I do. To you, it’s just a ghost trying to take over your body..."

She planted her feet firmly, spreading her arms as the elemental pulsed, its glow dimming, desperate, its lifespan slipping away. Maddy whispered softly, offering herself.

"Here, take me instead. You’re about to die, so take me... and please, don’t frighten the boy."

The spirit drifted toward her skin, circling her wrist with a faint, ethereal hum—but then it recoiled, as if shoved back by an invisible force.

Maddy blinked, tilting her head, brows knitting in mild frustration.

"Huh...? Not even a nibble? You think my body isn’t worth... POSSESSING!?"

The recoil made her blood boil, like an insult to her very being. Then Lucy’s voice chimed coldly in her mind.

[Response: Possession failed. Your vessel is already saturated with High Order Light and Fire, Water elements.]

"Oooh... okay, that explains it. Guess I’m already stuffed with too many elements. Even spirits don’t want to share."

[Normally, a vessel could only take one to two elements but since you are chimera, you just eat and apply ignoring the law.]

A small, amused smirk tugged at her lips.

"Well... that’s one more reason to love being a Chimera. Who needs limits anyway?"

The spirit began to flicker out, it is dying... its edges fraying into the atmosphere. Maddy didn’t hesitate. If she couldn’t host it, she would harvest it. She lunged forward, her jaw opening as she inhaled the swirling essence in one sharp, vacuum like breath.

[System Notice]

[You have ingested an object containing trait.]

[Trait Acquired: Air Element (Basic)]

[Grants natural affinity with Air, enhancing control over Air based abilities and increasing resistance to Air aligned attacks.]

As she swallowed, a cool rush of wind filled her lungs.

"Woah... that’s like eating an entire pack of mint candies!"

Maddy exclaimed, a small laugh escaping her. She patted her chest gently.

"There, the ’ghost’ is gone, Sephiran. Now you can go back to guarding our home in peace."

Sephiran peeked out from behind her, his eyes still red-rimmed.

"You... you ate the ghost? You’re so brave, Mother."

Maddy chuckled, ruffling his hair lightly.

"Not just ghosts, Sephiran—I’ll eat anything that stands in our way!"
