Biohuman-Chapter 718 Spawnlings
"Argh… Annoying pests." Tyrone groaned. He began to turn with the dagger, ready to throw it at the person who had hit him with lightning. Olivia glared at Tyrone's general direction as Tyrone's grip tightened around the dagger. In an instant, the dagger flew out of Tyrone's hand. Tyrone growled as he swung his hand outwards, releasing acid. Acid bubbled above Tyrone's hand as he turned to find Alex near Jamie. Jamie held Tyrone's dagger in her hand as she glared at him.
"I thought Jordan took care of you." Tyrone tossed an acid ball straight for Jamie. A bolt of purple lightning flew out, setting it ablaze.
"Are you okay, Alex?" Jamie asked. She glared at Tyrone, who was already conjuring another acid ball. Alex let out a fury of coughs as he rubbed his neck. He pushed himself up onto his arm as he looked at Tyrone.
"Isn't that one of the friends?" Evan asked. Jamie protectively stood in front of Alex, holding Tyrone's dagger in her hand.
"Don't tell me you're one of them, too!" Jamie shouted at Tyrone. Tyrone smirked, conjuring another ball of acid.
"And what if I am?" Tyrone asked. Jamie gritted her teeth as she raised the dagger and tossed it. Tyrone released the acid ball, destroying the dagger in an instant. The acid splattered across the ground, wilting the grass in an instant.
"Are they fighting each other?" Liz asked. Olivia slowly turned her head to look, but her blurry vision made it impossible to understand what was happening. Liz released another bolt of lightning at Tyrone, only to be met with a large wall of acid. Smoke billowed from the acid wall, releasing a burning smell as the acid lit up in flames.
"First Jordan, now you. Who are you, really?" Jamie asked. Tyrone smiled and evaporated the acid floating above his hand. He stuck his hand in his pocket and pulled out a syringe. Jamie's eyes focused on it, not understanding what it was. "Is that supposed to be your answer?"
Tyrone flicked it onto the floor, watching it burn away by the acid. He looked at the school, noticing Liz and Evan were staring at him. He turned his attention back onto Jamie and sighed. Tyrone's entire body began to melt before everyone's very eyes. The once intact Tyrone was replaced by rougher skin. Half a horn was growing out of Tyrone's forehead as his dark skin shimmered in the sunlight. His clothes were torn, and a sharp smile grew on his face.
"Our mission failed. All thanks to them." Tyrone looked over at Liz and Evan. He focused his attention onto Olivia. "If she hadn't come, we would've converted all off you and destroyed this godforsaken village!" Tyrone rushed forward, acid growing on his body. It sizzled on his body, growing rough patches of blotchy skin as he whipped a bubble of acid forward.
Jamie threw her hands up and blocked the attack. The smell of acid grew strong, burning her nostrils and eyebrows. She pushed the acid back, watching it splatter and burn the grass and dirt into nothing. Alex pushed himself up onto his feet.
"Jordan is like him, too?" Alex asked.
"Yeah. Where's Hayley?" Jamie asked. "We could use her help right now."
"She was a fake. I don't know where the real Hayley is. Where's Lexie? Wasn't she with Jordan?"
"Unconscious."
"I don't think that's their friend." Evan pointed out. 𝒇𝗿𝙚ℯ𝑤ℯ𝑏𝒏𝑜ѵe𝙡.c𝐨m
"Help… them…" Olivia weakly whispered. Evan and Liz looked down at her. She was trying her best to look at them. "Help… Please…"
"I guess I'll just have to make you two an example." Tyrone snarled. Acid grew along his arms as he closed the distance. Tyrone was classed as a Glass type, yet he was rushing Jamie and Alex. Jamie's eyes glowed a bright icy blue color as she pushed her telekinetic ability onto Tyrone. Tyrone could feel the weight of Jamie's power on him but continued forward.
A bolt of psionic lightning flew at Tyrone, directly hitting him and lighting the acid on fire as he tumbled. Evan's shield manifested as Liz pointed at the shield and charged it. The kinetic shield flicked between many colors until it reached blue. Evan rushed towards Jamie and Alex as a spray of acid flew out. Evan pulled his left hand back and thrusted it forwards. The blue color of the shield poured out of Evan's hand, blocking the acid from hitting nearby students.
Students scattered in fear while Jamie held the acid from hitting anyone on her side. Liz fired another bolt of lightning at Tyrone. Tyrone's eyes widened as the bolt connected, sending him backwards. A huge green flame ignited as a wolf howled behind her. Claws flew at Liz, knocking her off her feet as a wolf-like Biohuman flew past her. It ran straight for Evan, jumping and extending its claws as a purple line of energy on its eyes flashed. Evan's skin tingled as he turned and threw his shield up. The claw collided with the shield, creating a discordant scraping noise.
The wolf-like Biohuman's power shoved Evan backwards, rolling on the ground as it stood above Evan and went in for the kill.
"Deafening Sights." Alex raised his hand. The wolf-like Biohuman continued its swing, eyes glossing in a dark energy as Evan raised his shield to block. Evan went flying across the side as Alex gripped the dagger attached to his side. A golden aura washed over him as he started to pull the dagger out of its sheath.
"Are you sure you wanna do that? You might die using that." Jamie asked.
"We'll die if we don't defend ourselves." Alex pulled the blue metal dagger out. Tiny runes were engraved in the blade, taking on a golden color as Alex's energy poured into it.
"The Observer wants to play." The wolf-like Biohuman spoke with a distorted voice. It smiled at him as its purple-red eyes looked upon Alex like he was his next meal. "Are you sure that's a good idea? You could die."
"I either die to you or him. I'd rather go down with a fight!" Alex rushed at the Biohuman wolf. The wolf smiled as it rushed forward. A loud sizzling noise grew as acid washed over Tyrone. The smell of acid burnt away the life around Tyrone. Liz began to push herself up as the wolf howled. A strange energy pushed her down, pinning her in place.
"Not you. Only them!" The wolf shouted. Alex swung the blue dagger at the wolf, missing its snout as he backed off. The wolf launched itself forward, taking a swipe at Alex, who dodged the attack at the last second. The wolf continued to swipe at Alex, only to watch his attacks miss at the last second. "Argh! You're stupid games! RAAAA!"
Alex's eyes squeezed shut as he stumbled. The wolf slashed Alex across the chest. He went for another five or six swipes before knocking Alex off of his feet. The wolf chuckled as he stood above the bleeding Alex. He let out a howl, watching an ephemeral wolf push a paw onto Alex.
"You don't get to go anywhere. I'll make sure you die before you do anything." The wolf smiled.
Tyrone rose in the air and brushed the fire off. He looked like an absolute worst-case scenario of an acid mishap gone wrong. His hand raised up to point at Jamie. He frowned, unamused, by what had just happened to him.
"Not worthy. I'll tell them that." Tyrone nodded. "So, you can die now." A bright green spray of acid flew at Jamie, who lifted her hands up to block the attack. Jamie's eyes shook as Tyrone smiled. "You can't defend against this attack because you've never seen me use it before."
"Ahhh!" Jamie screeched. Her skin burned as she lit up in smoke. Jamie's body landed on the ground, rolling as she cried in pain.
"No…" Olivia weakly shook her head. "No…" Olivia forced herself to roll onto her stomach. She knocked herself into Lee Seng, who was unmoving. Her blurry eyes and headaches wouldn't stop her from stopping the madness. She tried to push herself up, only to fail. "No… Stop… Stop… Stop!" Tyrone and the wolf looked over at Olivia. The two of them turned their full attention onto her and smiled.
"We should've just killed you from the start, Liv." The wolf growled.
"Maybe we'll start with your friends and then you." Tyrone suggested.
"I like that better." The wolf agreed with Tyrone. Tyrone moved past Jamie, who had gone quiet and stood across from the wolf. Alex spurted out blood as he tried to break free.
"You… bastards… Jordan… I swear… I'll— Argh!" Alex screeched as Jordan's foot slammed into his stomach.
"You'll what, sensory boy?" Jordan asked, looking down at him. "You're just a nobody. Olivia, over there, is tryna be something she ain't. I'll keep you alive and you can watch your long-time crush die in front of you."
"No...!" Alex weakly cried out. "Don't you—Argh!"
