This means our battalion will have two deputy commanders, each responsible for shore-based and water-based rescue operations, respectively."

"The former Deputy Instructor of the First Battalion, Xu Mingyuan, will serve as deputy instructor of our battalion. The administrator of the First Battalion, Liu Degui, will serve as our battalion administrator. The secretary of the First Battalion, Qiu Xueliang, will serve as the battalion’s secretary. The former Commander of the Second Battalion, Zhao Jiang, will assist Friend Jianbo as a political office officer in charge of the battalion’s political and ideological work."

"The battalion will no longer have flood control technology teams and construction technology teams. All personnel from the original flood control and construction technology teams of the First Battalion will be incorporated into our First and Second Companies. The battalion will no longer have a battalion engineer; from now on, there will only be a senior expert group, a Changhang Logistics Support Team, a publicity group, as well as one military doctor and one nurse."

"Below the battalion, there will be four companies. The First Company will be the shore-based rescue construction company, with Deputy Battalion Commander Hao Qiusheng serving concurrently as company commander. The Second Company will be the water-based rescue construction company, with Deputy Battalion Commander Wu Hai Li serving concurrently as company commander. The Third Company will be the water rescue company, with Ma Jintao serving as company commander; and the Fourth Company will be the logistics support company, with Hu Genhua serving as company commander."

"The First Company will have three squads: earthwork construction, earthwork transportation, and rescue assault. All existing excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and corresponding personnel will be incorporated into the earthwork construction squad, led by Sun Youyi."

"Two articulated dump trucks and sixteen trailers will all be incorporated into the earthwork transportation squad, led by Cao Youwang!"

Old Cao, a tractor transport contractor who handles road and bridge company transportation business, smiled knowingly, revealing a set of yellow tobacco-stained teeth.
