At nine in the morning, a bullet-shaped business car slowly drove to the foot of Jun Mountain, following the tree-lined mountain road towards the top.

Vice Director Li of the Wujiang County Transportation Bureau and Chief Ding from the Wujiang Local Maritime Office had never been to Binjiang before and always thought it was backward.

They didn't expect what they saw after crossing the river to be completely different from what they imagined. Even more surprising was that Binjiang had mountains, and the scenery at the foot of Lang Mountain was so beautiful.

As for visiting the legendary "Binjiang Water Army Commander," it was just incidental; after all, although their men had offended Han Yu's family, they had already apologized, returned any fines that needed to be refunded, and even sent some tobacco and alcohol.

Having done all this, what more do you want?

They happened to be attending an onsite meeting in Shuzhou a few days ago and met Deputy Director Wang of the Shuzhou Local Maritime Bureau. Deputy Director Wang suggested that it was best to make this trip.

Deputy Director Wang spoke alarmingly, saying that back in the day, the water bandits on the Grand Canal always extorted the ships of Linghai, and Han Yu, who was just an ordinary police officer then, accompanied his mentor to provide armed escort for Linghai Shipping Company's fleet, capturing water bandits all along the way, eventually catching hundreds of them!

Even to this day, the water bandits on the canal avoid Linghai's ships, not daring to provoke them easily.

Vice Director Li and Chief Ding dared not take it lightly and thought it wise to ask Deputy Director Wang to find Director Guan from the Shuzhou Maritime Bureau, who had good relations with Han Yu, to help make introductions.

As the car entered the Lang Mountain Scenic Spot, Vice Director Li was captivated by the scenery outside the window and exclaimed, "The environment here is quite nice, I didn't expect Jiangbei to have mountains."

"Binjiang just has these five small mountains."

Director Guan, having worked at the Binjiang Port Supervision Bureau for over ten years, was very familiar with the area and introduced it with a smile, "This side is Jun Mountain, over there is Lang Mountain, and there's also Jianshan, Yellow Mud Mountain, and Ma'an Mountain. The main scenic area is on the Lang Mountain side, where there is a temple with a long history."

Deputy Director Wang, who came along, curiously asked, "Director Guan, isn't this a scenic area?"

"There used to be a lot of stationed troops on Jun Mountain, and it seems there still are."

"Stationed troops?"

"Look over there, there's a sign."

When the group turned to look, they found a warning sign by the roadside reading, "Military Management Area, No Trespassing."

Soon after, a tall and solemn camp gate appeared in front of them.

Outside the camp gate, there was no sign with the unit's name, only a giant "Ba Yi" military emblem hanging over the entrance.

There were no sentinels on duty at the camp entrance, and though the gate was open, the driver didn't dare to drive straight in and quickly tapped the brakes to stop.

Though Director Guan was familiar with the Lang Mountain Scenic Spot, he had never been to this military camp, and was just about to have the driver open the door to inquire when a young man in a deep blue naval training uniform emerged from the guard room.

"Comrade, who are you looking for?"

"We're here to see Han Yu. Is this the Customs dormitory?"

The young man glanced at the car plate and said, "This is not the Customs dormitory; this is a military camp. Are you from Shuzhou?"

Director Guan smiled, "Yes."

"Secretary Han has instructed that the car can drive in, but today there's a visit from a brother unit, so you may have to wait a bit after parking at the office building entrance."

"Alright, thank you."

The business car bypassed a screen with twenty large characters reading "Politically Qualified, Militarily Competent, Fine Style, Strict Discipline, Strong Support," and a two-story office building came into view.

There were four military vehicles parked in front of the office building, one from the Navy and three from the Army.

Several Army soldiers were busy moving the gifts inside the office building, while an Army captain was outside making phone calls on his mobile, and inside the hall, several Navy field-grade officers could be seen chatting amiably with Army officers.

Vice Director Li, entering a military camp for the first time, felt a bit nervous.

Chief Ding, feeling unsure, was even more nervous than Director Li.

Director Guan wasn't nervous at all, quite curious instead, and upon seeing a familiar figure upon getting out of the car, couldn't help but call out: "Xiang Ning, Xiang Ning!"

Han Xiangning had arrived early, and she came as a reserve officer of the Linghai Reserve Camp, dressed in the Army officer's winter service uniform with the insignia of a Reserve Lieutenant.

She greeted with a smile, raising her arm in salute, "Hello, Director Guan, when did you set off? How did you arrive so early?"

"We set off at six, your uniform looks wonderful, valiant and spirited, I almost didn't recognize you!"

"Really?" Han Xiangning smiled warmly and turned to greet, "Director Guan, everyone, today the Linghai Reserve Camp is here to pay respects to the Rescue Boat Team. Salted Fish is the Big Commander, and he will join Commissar Fang in receiving colleagues from the Linghai Armed Forces Department and the Linghai Reserve Camp. Let's first go to the reception room and sit for a while."

"Sure, sorry to trouble you."

"No trouble at all, I am actually a guest too, just the Secretary of the Linghai Reserve Camp, not a cadre of the Rescue Boat Team."

Vice Minister Li, Yang Jianbo, and Zhao Jiang's visit coincided purely by chance.

Although the Linghai Reserve Camp is only a battalion-level unit, it's currently quite popular, with many units sending greetings near the Spring Festival, delivering lots of gifts.

The camp has already distributed a round to the officers and soldiers, and further distribution would not only be impractical but troublesome, since the officers and soldiers live far away from the camp area, and traveling to collect some New Year goods is not worthwhile.

Yang Jianbo, considering that the Rescue Boat Team led by an old leader is a regiment-level unit but under construction with no formal establishment, decided to have Deputy Minister Li of the Armed Forces lead a team to deliver the gifts sent in recent days to the Rescue Boat Team.
