Chapter 800: Chapter 666: Don’t Even Think About Entering My Room Ever Again! (Third Update)

Yi Luowa playfully tapped his head. "Why are you so heartless? She helped you take care of the kid all night."

Danton rubbed his forehead. "She’s just finding excuses to stay in my room and not leave."

Ruan An Yang pursed his lips, pulled a cushion, and covered his face.

Yi Luowa chuckled and shook her head, sitting down next to her son.

In his sleep, Zi Xi puffed out his little cheeks with a pout, his long eyelashes casting faint shadows under his eyes. Zi Yan and Sang Yu already had long lashes, but his were somehow even longer than his siblings’.

Yi Luowa gently stroked her son’s head, then looked up at her younger brother. Danton mischievously winked. "Coming face to face with two absolute beauties here, what are your thoughts?"

Ruan An Yang lowered the cushion and said with a huff, "Stop being so vain! Our Zi Xi is the real handsome one; you’re far below him!"

Danton grabbed a doll and flung it over. "I didn’t ask you to talk! You better keep quiet! Otherwise, don’t even think about entering my room again!"

Ruan An Yang caught the doll and hugged it tightly, rolling over to face the couch back and fell asleep.

Yi Luowa reached out and smacked Danton lightly. "Don’t treat An Yang like that anymore!"

Ruan An Yang giggled and said, "Luowa Sis, you misunderstood him. Without this doll, I really can’t sleep. He’s just helping me get some rest."

Yi Luowa twitched her lips. If one wants to tease, the other wants to take it—she decided not to interfere.

Yi Luowa picked up Zi Xi gently and whispered, "You two keep sleeping a bit longer; I’ll take Zi Xi to my room."

Danton sat up. "Sis, don’t trouble him..."

"Shhh—" Yi Luowa softly patted Zi Xi and walked out quietly.

Tong Airui came over to meet her. "Still not awake?"

Yi Luowa whispered, "He’s about to wake up; keep your voice down."

Tong Airui sped up his steps and opened their room door. Yi Luowa whispered, "Are Dad and Mom up yet?"

"Dad’s awake; the two kids still aren’t."

Yi Luowa pouted. "Why don’t you bring the other two over as well?"

Tong Airui glanced at her. "Never seen you care about me like this."

"There you go again!" Yi Luowa glared at him, bent down, and placed Zi Xi on the bed. After tucking him in, Yi Luowa left the room.

"Where are you off to?"

"If you’re not going, I’ll go myself to bring them. Watch over your little prince here. If he doesn’t sleep well, he’ll wake up grumpy."

"Fine, I’ll bring them. You stay here with your little boss." Tong Airui grumbled unhappily.

Yi Luowa gave a soft smile. "Thanks."

Soon, Tong Airui carried Zi Yan back. As soon as Zi Yan’s head touched the pillow, he let out an unsatisfied whimper.

Yi Luowa quickly patted him lightly twice. "Sweet baby, time to sleep. Mommy’s back."

Zi Yan blinked his sleepy eyes open. Seeing his mom looking at him, he suddenly sat up. "Mommy!"

"Shhh— Your little brother is still sleeping."

"Mommy!" Zi Xi was awakened by his brother’s call. Seeing his mother, he crawled over in just a few motions.

Yi Luowa held the two little ones tightly in her arms. "Missed Mommy so much."

"Wahhh... Mommy’s bad! You came back and didn’t even find me." Sang Yu ran in, hair messy and teary-eyed.

Yi Luowa looked at her daughter with a smile. "Come to bed and let Mommy give you kisses."

"Bad Mommy! Wahhh..." Sang Yu cried and clambered onto the bed.

Zi Yan broke free from his mother’s hug and pulled his sister over. "Don’t cry. Let Mommy hold you."

Yi Luowa, seeing her son being so considerate, said with a smile, "Mommy can hold you all. Come, everyone sit on Mommy’s lap."

Tong Airui looked at the group hug of mother and children and stomped over irritably. "Big ones, small ones—no one ever puts me in their eyes!"

"Daddy~" Sang Yu reached for him with tearful eyes.

"Papa!" Zi Xi grinned broadly and beamed at him.

"Hehe... We missed Daddy, too." Zi Yan stood up and hug-tackled his dad’s arm tightly.

"You little traitors!" Tong Airui laughed, pinching his son’s nose playfully.

"Papa, hold me!" Zi Xi giggled, stretching his little arms out.

Tong Airui scooped him up and teased, "Weren’t you supposed to be grumpy when you woke up? How are you laughing out loud now?"

"Now that you’re all back, I’m not grumpy anymore." Zi Xi burst into laughter.

"You three stay with your mommy and nap a little longer. Daddy is going to spend time with Grandpa and Grandpa-in-law." Tong Airui smiled, patting his daughter’s head. "Look at how you appear—just like a little wild girl."

"Hmm~" Sang Yu grumbled, "Go away already!"

"You little rascal!" Tong Airui pinched her cheek lightly.

"Mommy~" Sang Yu snuggled closer into her mom’s arms.

Yi Luowa chuckled and patted Tong Airui’s hand. "Just go already, stop agitating them."

"Take care of them for a bit longer," Tong Airui said, realizing he wasn’t wanted and stepped out the door.

After breakfast, guests started arriving one after another.

Tong Airui helped his father-in-law entertain them. The number of guests attending the homecoming banquet at Haotian was no less than those who attended the wedding in Xiawu. After all, it was Haotian’s first grand celebration.

The family bustled for three days and finally saw the homecoming banquet successfully wrapped up.

Once the banquet concluded, Long Che and Tong Yao headed back to Xiawu. Yi Luowa stayed with the kids for another three days before heading home with Tong Airui.

The first thing Yi Luowa did upon returning was having a talk with Mi Chenxuan. She scolded him so thoroughly that Mi Chenxuan was left speechless, raising his arms as he escaped the study.

Yi Luowa chased after him, pointing at him. "Can’t you show some ambition?!"

"I can!" Mi Chenxuan laughed, running outside.

The next day, Qiu Hong was transferred to Shen Ying.

Mi Chenxuan sat on the sofa, twisting his leg as he looked at Qiu Hong. "Caught tattling to my fourth sister-in-law, huh? You little rascal. You missed out on an easy life. Now come with me to the front lines. If I don’t whip you into shape, I’m not worthy of being your ’Eighth Lord’!"

Qiu Hong laughed. "As long as I can stay by your side, I’m willing to endure anything."

Mi Chenxuan smirked. "Then let’s go."

"Let’s go."

Both of them left laughing. Mi Chenxuan put an arm around Qiu Hong’s shoulder. "Honestly, you’re such a fool. Just to stick around, you didn’t even take a promotion."

"You’ve always said my rank was higher than yours, so you wouldn’t let me follow you. Actually, I don’t care about titles. As long as I can stay with you like the other siblings, I’m satisfied."

"See, I told you, you’re an idiot. I’m the least accomplished in this family, and you’re fine following me?"

"If I couldn’t follow you, then I’d really feel miserable. Besides, who says you’re not accomplished? You’re a squad captain now." Qiu Hong chuckled and patted his shoulder.

Yi Luowa opened the door and looked at them both. "Oh, look who suddenly became buddy-buddy again."

"Thanks, Madam Luowa." Qiu Hong smiled at Yi Luowa.

Yi Luowa smiled. "No need to be so polite. By the way, if he bullies you, let me know, and I’ll straighten him out."

"Thank you, Madam Luowa, but our Eighth Lord never bullies me."

"Fourth sister-in-law, we’re heading to the front lines. I won’t be back for three months, so don’t miss me, okay?"

Yi Luowa made a face. "I wouldn’t miss you. Why are you going for that long anyway?"

"Recruiting new team members."

Yi Luowa nodded. "Alright, you two hurry up and go then."

Mi Chenxuan slung his arm over Qiu Hong’s shoulder and headed downstairs together.

Once they left, Yi Luowa returned to the office. "Hubby, you’re sending Eighth to recruit new team members. Isn’t three months too long?"

"To form an elite task force, Eighth needs to spend three months to assess who’s up to snuff."

"Does Youyou know?"

"Eighth must’ve told her. The camp isn’t far from home. If he gets time off, he can come back."

Yi Luowa pressed her lips together. Ah, everyone has their fate.

Tong Airui smiled. "Don’t sigh. Only by gaining experience quickly will Eighth have a chance to rise further. Once he moves up, I can finally step down."

Yi Luowa gave him a sharp look. "Other people exploit their fathers, and you exploit your younger brother!"

"How’s that exploiting him? I’m doing it for his own good. The Bates family is counting on him to uphold its reputation."

Yi Luowa blinked. "Hubby, if you stop being the commander of Shen Ying, what do you plan to do?"

"Lie on the bed and watch the world. That’s been my dream since I was little. Sweetheart, if I don’t hold this position, you’ll have to take care of me."

Yi Luowa laughed and playfully pinched his cheek. "Don’t worry. I’ll definitely spoil you and fatten you right up."

"If I really get time off, I’ll take you to explore the world, travel here and there—living the dream."

"Stop showing off! You should focus on doing your current duties well. I just saw a report about Xi Jiang—things aren’t very stable over there. Everyone’s waiting for your instructions."
