Chapter 647: Chapter 549 I’m Not Losing My Temper, I’m Just Angry (Part 1)_2

This happiness came a bit suddenly, Fourth Lord smiled and turned the other cheek, "Here."

Yi Luowa pursed her lips and smiled, taking a bite on that cheek.

Tong Airui laughingly swatted her bottom, "I told you to kiss, not to bite!"

Yi Luowa released her mouth and, in the next second, asked seriously, "Husband, did you stay up all night?"

"Slept for fifteen minutes," Tong Airui chuckled and kissed her pink lips, "My wife is the best, always caring about me."

Yi Luowa apologetically rubbed his face, "You’ve put a lot of effort into my affairs before, and now, for my dad..."

Tong Airui lowered his gaze to look at her, speaking solemnly, "It’s not for Dad, it’s for you! I know you better than anyone else. If something happens on Haotian’s side, you’ll be worried sick. I just don’t want to see you frowning every day."

Yi Luowa pouted, "I won’t be frowning anymore, but now you’ll be the one working hard."

Tong Airui laughed and pinched her nose, "It’s not hard, it’s not like I always have to do this. Danton is still young now. If I can help them at this moment, I’ll do it. Once Danton grows up and Haotian stabilizes, we’ll stop interfering with Haotian’s affairs, avoiding people saying we have ulterior motives."

Yi Luowa puffed up her cheeks, "You’re doing all this for Haotian’s good. Who would accuse you of that? They’d have to be heartless!"

"Wife, don’t forget, we’re Xiawu people."

Yi Luowa blinked, "So I’m no longer a Haotian person?"

Tong Airui joked, "A married daughter is like water spilled out of the family basin."

Yi Luowa wrinkled her nose, and suddenly remembered the water in the bathroom. She quickly sat up.

"What happened?"

"The water isn’t turned off yet!"

"I already turned it off." Tong Airui chuckled helplessly, reaching out to pull her back.

Yi Luowa jumped out of bed in one swift motion, "I’m not lying around with you anymore. I’m going to check on the kids. Who knows when we’ll be able to get back from the hospital today. I want to spend more time with them."

Tong Airui shot her a sly glance, "My place in your heart is diminishing by the day!"

Yi Luowa stopped halfway through putting on her clothes, "What do you mean?"

"I’m talking about you, my little ungrateful one!" Tong Airui picked up a pillow and playfully aimed to hit her.

Yi Luowa giggled, "If you don’t hit me, you rank number one. If you do, you’re relegated to being outside the top hundred!"

Tong Airui sighed in defeat, putting down the pillow and flipping out of bed.

"You didn’t sleep all night, and you’re not going back to bed? What are you getting up for?" Yi Luowa frowned.

"To accompany you to see the kids!" Tong Airui gave her a humph, turned, and went into the bathroom. Just as he opened the bathroom door, he slammed it shut again, grabbing the now fully dressed Yi Luowa to leave.

Yi Luowa asked suspiciously, "What are you up to? You haven’t washed your face yet?"

"I’ll wash downstairs."

"Why wash downstairs?"

"Just felt like it, is that a problem?"

Yi Luowa tugged at him forcefully, "Something’s definitely up! Is the bathroom flooded?"

"Not that bad..."

Yi Luowa widened her eyes and yelled, "Tong Airui!"

Tong Airui laughed nervously, "Don’t shout. I’ll call someone up to clean it in a bit."

Yi Luowa angrily shook off his hand and ran to the bathroom.

Seeing the disaster in the bathroom, Yi Luowa nearly passed out from anger. The faucet had been shut off, but it was definitely turned off late. It’d been an entire night, and the floor still had a thin layer of water that hadn’t drained away.

"Stop looking at it. I’ll go downstairs to call someone to clean it up." Tong Airui wrapped his arms around her waist and forcibly dragged her out.

Yi Luowa huffed and puffed, fuming, "Tong Airui, I don’t even know what to say to you anymore. Turning off the valve is just a minute’s thing, and yet you just wouldn’t do it..."

"What did Fourth Brother do now?" Mi Chenxuan sauntered over.

"Ask him yourself." Yi Luowa huffed, pulling Tong Airui’s hand away and stomping back upstairs.

Tong Airui smirked, "Are you heading up to complain about me to your mom?"

"I wouldn’t bother complaining to my mom! If I want to complain effectively, I’ll go find Dad!"

Long Che came out of the nursery holding Sangyu, "Tong Airui, what did you do wrong this time? Look how upset you’ve made Luowa!"

"She’s going through menopause early." Tong Airui chuckled, walking over and patting his daughter’s head, "Sweetheart, your mom’s early menopause is going to be the end of us three men!"

"My Fourth Sister-in-law isn’t anywhere near menopause, but you definitely seem to be in trouble!" Mi Chenxuan finished speaking and quickly fled downstairs, afraid he’d be beaten if he didn’t run fast enough.

Tong Airui glanced at his retreating figure and pointed toward his dad’s room, "Can I borrow your bathroom?"

"What’s wrong with your bathroom?" Uncle Che asked coolly.

"If it was fine, would I ask you? Never mind, I’ll use the communal one downstairs."

"Haha..." Sangyu laughed, reaching out her little hands to hit her dad’s arm.

"Go ahead and use it." Long Che smiled at his granddaughter’s joy, a hint of amusement appearing on his face.

Tong Airui quickly stepped into his dad’s bedroom. Sangyu, seeing her dad leave, stretched her small hands out as if trying to grab him.

Long Che chuckled and asked, "What are you reaching for? In your dad’s eyes, only your mom exists, not us."

It was as if Sangyu understood, pouting and glaring at her grandpa.

Long Che helplessly shook his head and carried his granddaughter back to the bedroom.

Tong Airui, who had just finished washing his face, saw his dad carrying his daughter into the room and quickly sped up his washing.

"There’s a new toothbrush in the cabinet. What’s wrong with your bathroom?"

Tong Airui took out a new toothbrush and a disposable cup from the cabinet, "I was busy with my father-in-law’s matters last night and forgot to turn off the faucet."

"Your father-in-law arrived safely, right?"

"Yes, he got to the palace safely at four. It was too early, so I didn’t inform you. The train was fine, but the plane got shot down..."

Tong Airui briefly recounted the events to his dad while picking up his toothbrush.

Long Che furrowed his brows slightly, "Did they not leave any of the attackers alive this time?"

"No, before our people could capture them, they poisoned themselves."

"Haha..." Sangyu happily clapped her little hands.

Tong Airui looked at his daughter, "What did you understand that’s making you so happy?"

Sangyu wrinkled her nose and clapped her tiny hands vigorously once more.

Tong Airui chuckled helplessly, "I’ll pretend you understood. Later, you go cheer your mom up. It’s just a bit of wasted water, what’s there to be so angry about! Ah... I get it now. Your mom found her own mom, has a backup now, and her temper has shot up. She throws fits at the drop of a hat now."

"Ba—" Sangyu exclaimed and then burst out laughing.

Tong Airui laughed and patted his daughter’s head, "Daddy will brush his teeth quickly, then take you to cheer up Mommy."

Two minutes later, Tong Airui had cleaned himself up, carrying his daughter upstairs to the third floor.

Yi Luowa was washing her face while complaining to her mother about Tong Airui’s sins.

Haotian Queen chuckled, "Let me be fair here, you can’t blame everything on Airui. If he forgot, couldn’t you have remembered?"

Yi Luowa brushed her teeth forcefully, muttering indistinctly, "I was asleep, wasn’t I? Besides, it’s always been his responsibility."

"Airui has spoiled you! You don’t have to manage anything, and when something goes wrong, you won’t reflect on yourself, only pushing all the blame onto him."

Yi Luowa unhappily shot her mom a look, "Mom—I’m your daughter!"

"I know, no need to remind me so loudly!" Haotian Queen raised her hand to fix her daughter’s stray hair, "Luowa, because you’re my daughter, Mom has to say a few things to you: people need to know how to be satisfied and grateful. Airui treats you so well, you can’t throw tantrums over every tiny issue. Love between a husband and wife also needs nurturing."

Yi Luowa’s hand paused slightly, "I wasn’t throwing a tantrum; I was just angry."
