Chapter 559: Chapter 480 Nineteen Updates

"NO! I want to find a place to go happy." Yi Luowa shrank her neck as his breath tickled her ear.

"I’m in a bad mood too. Can you take me along to go happy?" Tong Airui laughed and lightly bit her ear.

Yi Luowa pushed him away with her hand, "No!"

"Not telling me where you’re going and not taking me along? Are you going to find a pretty boy or something?"

Yi Luowa burst out laughing, "A pretty boy’s skills aren’t as good as yours."

"You’ve tried them?" Tong Airui placed his hand on her waist.

"No chance to." Yi Luowa turned over, lying face-to-face with him, sideways. "Joyina’s shooting her film, isn’t she? She needs a female race car driver and wants me to help."

"..." Tong Airui’s brows gradually furrowed.

"They’re paying! I’m earning some extra money for our household."

"You’re not allowed to go!" Tong Airui bit her outstretched hand.

Yi Luowa exerted considerable effort to pull her hand back, "They’re paying!"

Tong Airui shook his head, "Let Ao Lie go. Just put a wig on him, and it’ll be fine."

"Ao Lie is bulkier than you. Can’t you find someone more suitable?"

Tong Airui curled his lips into a devilish grin, "How about letting Old Five go?"

Yi Luowa rolled her eyes at him, "Little Old Five hasn’t recovered yet. He can’t drive."

Tong Airui was momentarily stunned, "Still hasn’t recovered? He looks perfectly normal to me."

"Connie said so. Since his surgery, he hasn’t used it even once. With how Old Five is, if he could, he wouldn’t be idle. Given how long he’s been idle, it’s obviously not fine."

Tong Airui couldn’t help laughing as he looked at her, "The little bit of privacy in this house is completely transparent to you."

"I don’t even like asking. It’s always them who take the initiative to tell me."

"Back to the point, are you giving me leave tomorrow or not?"

"No!" Tong Airui tucked them both under the blanket and reached up to turn off the light.

Yi Luowa kicked him under the blanket, "I’m in a bad mood. Can’t you just let me go out and relax a bit?"

"... Saturday. I’ll go with you then." That place is full of young hunks; he’d need to keep an eye on her.

"So you’re going to cross-dress as a woman?"

"If you don’t agree, I’ll deal with you tonight."

Tong Airui slapped her butt lightly, "Sleep! If you keep talking, I’ll deal with you now!"

Yi Luowa pouted, turned over, and gave him her back.

Tong Airui reached out and pulled her tightly into his arms. Neither of them said anything else, and they drifted off to sleep.

In the early hours of the morning, Yi Luowa woke up feeling overheated. Startled, she sat up quickly and reached out to touch Tong Airui’s forehead.

Tong Airui slowly opened his eyes, his voice hoarse as he asked, "What time is it?"

"Honey, you’re running a fever." Yi Luowa said as she picked up her phone to check the time. "Five minutes to six. Let me call Dr. Jin over."

"Don’t call him. I’m fine."

Yi Luowa got anxious as soon as she heard that, "How could you be fine? You’re burning up!"

Tong Airui furrowed his brows and glanced outside the window, "Wait till it’s light outside to call."

Yi Luowa understood what he meant. She got out of bed and dashed to the bathroom to wet a towel with cold water. Placing the towel on Tong Airui’s forehead, she then took out the household first-aid kit and found the thermometer, tucking it under his armpit.

"Wifey, you’re doing things out of order." Tong Airui smirked as he watched her rushing around like a whirlwind.

"You’re already this hot, who cares about the proper order!" Yi Luowa glanced at her phone, "Honey, it’s almost six. Uncle Jin’s old now and sleeps lightly. He should be awake by now."

"If he comes over, everyone in the house will wake up." Tong Airui’s voice was now so hoarse it was barely recognizable.

Yi Luowa quickly poured him a glass of water, "If your throat feels terrible, don’t talk. Let me help you sit up a bit and drink some water."

Tong Airui took a small sip from her hand and then lay back down.

Seeing him close his eyes in discomfort, Yi Luowa couldn’t hold back anymore and dialed Jin Qixin.

"Uncle Jin, Tong Airui has a fever. Could you come over? Please try not to wake anyone in the house... Okay, I’ll come downstairs to meet you."

Yi Luowa hung up, lifted the blanket, and checked whether Tong Airui was wearing anything. "I knew it!"

She muttered under her breath, ran to the closet, and pulled out a pair of boxers for him.

Just as she was about to help him into pajama pants, Tong Airui opened his eyes. "Uncle Jin’s not going to pull off the blanket. Why are you dressing me? I’m feeling hot."

Yi Luowa put the pajama pants aside, lowered her eyes, and asked, "When did you start feeling sick last night? Why didn’t you call for me?"

"After my cold shower, I started feeling unwell. Didn’t check the time."

Yi Luowa looked at him skeptically, "Weren’t we sleeping together? How did you get up to take a shower?"

"After you fell asleep, you kept squirming and nudging me. It... well, it made me start heating up. Seeing how sweetly you were sleeping, I couldn’t bear to wake you, so I went to take a cold shower..."

Yi Luowa crinkled her nose at him and pulled the thermometer from under his arm, "Thirty-eight point five degrees! Let’s see if you’ll dare take cold showers next time!"

"I haven’t caught a cold in years. Why now?"

"You’re all worn out!"

"Then help me rejuvenate a bit."

"If I don’t, it’s tough enough to deal with you as is. If I do, I’ll be doomed!"

Yi Luowa pursed her lips, opened the bedroom door, and headed out.
