Chapter 543: Chapter 465 Fourth Watch

"Ah!" Yi Luowa jumped in shock. "Everything was fine this morning. Why the sudden surgery?"

Mi Chenshuo tossed his laptop aside as well. "What kind of surgery? Where is he? Let’s go check!"

Joyina reached her hand toward Mi Chenshuo. "Pull me up; I’m going too."

Tong Airui furrowed his brows slightly. "I’m not clear on the details either. It was Old Seven who called. He said he just finished a surgery for Old Five, then the call dropped. When I called back, his phone was off."

"What about Shanshan? Did you ask her?" Mi Chenshuo pulled Joyina up while searching for his phone.

"Let’s just go check first. Call Shanshan when we’re in the car." Yi Luowa picked up the phone he left on the sofa and handed it to him. "Call Old Eight first and let’s all head there together."

The group hurriedly rushed out the door and bumped into Ke Jingran.

Joyina rattled off quickly, "You and Prince Bert go have lunch at noon; we have an emergency and need to go out."

Ke Jingran quickly stepped aside to give them space to pass.

"Chen Xuan, head to the parking lot right now... Don’t ask questions; you’ll find out when we’re there." Mi Chenshuo hung up the phone, scowling. "Old Four, check your subordinates. During work hours, they’re playing card games. I told him to come out, and he said he needed to finish his hand first."

"When we get back, I’ll break his hands!" Tong Airui snapped with a stern face as he rushed downstairs.

Yi Luowa followed closely behind him. After everyone got in the car, Yi Luowa dialed Connie’s number.

"Connie’s phone is off!"

"Shanshan didn’t come to work today."

"Old Five’s phone is off too! What the hell!" Tong Airui threw his phone aside in frustration.

"I’m here—" Mi Chenxuan climbed into the car, noticing the tension. "What’s going on?"

Mi Chenshuo grabbed him and yanked him in. "Get in! Yuan Hang, drive!"

Yuan Hang, sensing the urgency in everyone’s demeanor, hit the accelerator as soon as they left the compound, driving like the wind.

"Bro, what happened?" Mi Chenxuan couldn’t help but ask.

"Your fifth brother had surgery."

"Surgery?! What happened?!"

"If we knew, we wouldn’t be in such a hurry. Shut up! You’ll find out once we’re there."

With their hearts pounding and filled with unease, they finally arrived at the hospital and headed straight for Mai Zekai’s office.

The office was empty. Yi Luowa ran to the nurses’ station, asked around, and finally found out which ward Tong Aino was in.

Just as Yi Luowa was about to leave, she thought of something and turned back to the nurse. "What kind of surgery did Eino Odelrich have?"

"A minimally invasive circumcision."

Yi Luowa’s heart, which had been hanging in suspense, suddenly dropped with a thud.

Tong Airui came over. "What kind of surgery did Old Five have?"

Yi Luowa’s lips twitched, and she murmured softly, "Circumcision."

Tong Airui’s face cycled through several expressions before finally settling down. "Well, since we’re already here, let’s go take a look."

Mi Chenxuan and Mi Chenshuo exchanged glances. Mi Chenshuo inclined his chin slightly. "When you see Old Seven later, drag him out and beat him up!"

"Agreed! Seriously, could he not explain properly? He scared the hell out of us. But why is my Fifth Brother getting that done, anyway?"

"Obviously, something’s wrong. If everything were fine, would he get it done?" Joyina muttered, but when Mi Chenshuo shot her a dagger-like glance, she immediately clammed up.

Forget Mi Chenshuo wanting to beat Mai Zekai—right now, Tong Aino wanted to beat him too. They’d agreed to quietly finish it and go home, yet that idiot called his brother.

It’s not exactly something to boast about. If word got out, he’d die of embarrassment. He was still ranting about it when the group stormed into the room.

Mi Chenxuan walked in grinning and reached out to lift the blanket. "Let me take a look—"

Connie, terrified, clutched the blanket tightly. His pants weren’t even on. If everyone saw, how could he live it down?

"Why were all the phones off?" Tong Airui asked Mai Zekai irritably.

Mai Zekai pointed at Tong Aino. "He’s the one who made us turn them off."

Tong Airui glared at him. "Your explanation was so vague! I thought something really serious had happened. Other than this, is there anything else wrong?"

"Nothing else! He just decided to pull this stunt, and I already regret it." Tong Aino grimaced with a pained expression. "How much work is this going to delay?"

"It’s done now. Rest well. I’ll handle the company matters." Mi Chenshuo frowned at Mai Zekai. "When can he be discharged?"

"Tonight, after I’m off work, I’ll take Old Five home."

Yi Luowa glanced at the time and stepped closer to the bed. "Old Five, what do you feel like eating for lunch? I’ll go buy it for you."

"Have Old Seven go. Just looking at him annoys me." Tong Aino waved at Mai Zekai dismissively.

Mai Zekai adjusted his glasses lazily. "What do you want to eat?"

Tong Aino rattled off a list of dishes. Only after he finished did Mai Zekai turn and walk out.

"Seventh Brother, did you actually remember all that?" Mi Chenxuan curiously followed him outside.

Without turning back, Mai Zekai chuckled. "Not a single thing. He can’t eat any of that right now. I’ll just get him a bowl of millet porridge. That’ll do."

"That bastard! Wait till I’m better!" Tong Aino huffed. "You guys don’t need to hang around. Go do whatever you need to."

"Fourth Brother, let my Fifth Brother rest. How about you take us out to eat?" Mi Chenxuan bounded back in cheerfully. "No need to splurge—just that stuff my Fifth Brother ordered is fine."

Tong Airui pointed at Mi Chenshuo, then at Tong Aino. "These two are the moneybags of our family. Why make me treat?"

"Fourth Brother, doesn’t your family have Grandma Fortune God?" Mi Chenxuan chuckled. "If you don’t want to treat, I’ll have my Fourth Sister-in-law treat instead, and I’ll call Youyou over too."

Yi Luowa smiled. "I’ll treat, but you’re in charge of delivering the food to your Fifth Brother and Fifth Sister-in-law first."

"No problem!" Mi Chenxuan laughed as he dialed Youyou’s number.

Yi Luowa turned to Connie. "How about I pick for you based on your taste?"

"I’m not really hungry."

"Not hungry? You still have to eat. This guy is annoying enough when he’s healthy, let alone now that he’s unwell."

"Sigh..." Tong Old Five sighed. "Hurry up and eat. Don’t let this get out any further; I can’t afford the shame."

"We promise we won’t post it online." Joyina giggled.

Everyone burst into laughter. If Tong Aino hadn’t gotten mad, who knows how much longer these shameless people would’ve kept laughing.

The group headed straight to the Odelrich Tower, into their usual private room. Yi Luowa ordered food for Connie and the others first, then discussed with the group what they should eat.

A waiter came in with a teapot and began pouring tea for everyone.

After making his rounds, the waiter was about to leave when another waiter came in to input the orders. The two bumped into each other.

Somehow, one of them tugged on Yi Luowa’s hair, making her wince in pain.

Tong Airui immediately turned to glare at them. "What are you doing? Get out!"

The two waiters, frightened, left with their heads bowed.

Yi Luowa rubbed her head. "They didn’t do it on purpose. Stop yelling."

"Let me see." Tong Airui leaned in to check and, seeing that she was fine except for a few messy strands of hair, his face softened slightly.

Fourth Lord smoothed down his wife’s hair and turned to Mi Chenshuo. "Where did they train these people? When you have time, go check. This is our family dining. If it were another customer, we’d definitely get complaints."

"No need to wait for free time. I’ll handle it after this meal." Mi Chenshuo spoke hurriedly. With Old Four’s temper, any delay would’ve been impossible.

"Damn it! That bastard! In a rush to be reincarnated or what?!" From outside came Youyou’s irritated voice.

Mi Chenxuan’s mouth twitched as he quickly went to welcome her. "Luo You, watch your manners!"

Youyou pointed to the water stains on her clothes. "What manners? Look at this! That idiot spilled water all over me, didn’t even bother to apologize, and just ran off. I’m livid!"

"I’ll buy you a new one later." Mi Chenxuan coaxed her as he ushered her in.

Tong Airui’s eyes fell on the water stains, and his brows furrowed into a tight knot.

Mi Chenshuo immediately stood up. "Please don’t be upset! I’ll handle it right away!"
